Brandon Interview With Information
natc replied to Skaiiwalker's topic in General Brandon Discussion
If anything the kandra on Roshar bit is the most revealing, imo. Either someone has gone rogue or Harmony has finally made a move to watch his fellow more experienced godlike avatars.- 12 replies

Squirrels work though. They even run around in circles screaming really well.

You know, a Kandra of (WoR spoiler) would simplify the situation immensely. We're not that lucky though are we?- 12 replies

East and west would be perpendicular to north. Simple. Also, the planet isn't that small. Move it farther. Like way farther.
-
Well obviously hacking is harder than just knowing the geography but you still need to know it to pull it off at all. They probably haven't figured it out yet.
-
Investiture is investiture. If you hack the system properly you can probably even steelpush with stormlight. I mean, Vasher is still alive over here. Nightblood just gobbles investiture in general anyway. Human souls and breath were just the most convenient source.

Well, leaving aside whatever it is that's strengthening his allomancy hemalurgy or otherwise (did he just make a "steel bubble" esque effect that affected glass?!?) just having all forms of feruchemical compounding can produce conceivably crazy results. And I'm trying to think of as many of those possible feats as possible. Any creative ones? Besides fighting in bullet time 24/7? That's probably the obvious one really.

We're calling Elantrians blue people now? I don't think they were even blue tbh. They were metallic silver right? And reviving Syl was doable. Kaladin was still alive and could take his oaths up again to bring her back. The lost Radiants that created these shardblades died like 4000+ years ago. The blades are largely screwed. And every known shardblade is accounted for in the human countries save for Eshonai's, and since their enemy is conveniently not among those countries they honestly don't need them all in one place, especially not in a war for survival. Alethkar isn't the only army that needs them; heck, the Kholin army isn't the only one that needs them, there's the dozen or so other armies in Alethkar alone. Concentrating blades in one place is damning every other military force in existence to being completely useless.

I know this conversation was sort of over, but sudden shifts in acceleration can usually cause serious organ damage, and going too fast will cause him to burn due to air resistance. He can heal, sure, but you know how bad his stormlight efficiency is.
-
Well Sadeas doesn't want Alethkar destroyed. He just thinks what Dalinar is doing with Alethkar will just make things worse and is willing to go that length to make sure his entirely conflicting plan goes through instead. Though most people will say he deserved it. Honorspren would claim the murder immoral and highspren will claim breach of law, but frankly even most Radiant orders will probably think someone needed to do that a whole lot sooner.

Theory: The Heralds Caused the Desolations
natc replied to Secret Ardent Man's topic in Stormlight Archive
Well, for one we don't know that's actually Taln :3 He's definitely due to be on Roshar now that the Desolation has begun though. On the theory itself, I thought that actually was the prevalent theory, so I guess most people will agree? -
Which part of the author not wanting to involve genetics in this story did you skim over storm it T_T Personally I find letting your best warriors (who basically happen to be equivalent to Jesus Christ here so I'm not sure anyone would even dream of getting that intimate) get in bed with people with an army of voidbringers at your doorstep to be a really stupid idea.

Shardplate For Horses? Any Old Horse+Shardsaddle= Instant Ryshadium
natc replied to Atkion's topic in Stormlight Archive
What makes you think you can actually forge shardplate? -
English words don't need to be symmetrical Perhaps the Alethi names are symmetrical. Who knows.

Yeah, storming terrible day today. My bad. Though it was partly supposed to sound frustratingly cynical rather than pissed. Guess I'll edit an emoticon into it.
-
Spell Nightblood properly dammit. In English at least, since I don't think we have Nalthian script yet. Edit: tossed in an emoticon. Looking pissed was not my conscious intention, though I admit I actually am somewhat upset today and it does look like that came through. But seriously we need a nalthian script for the sake of our font collections.

Nightwatcher Boon/Bane (Game)
natc replied to killersquirrel59's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
You find yourself in the FMA universe being forced into human transmutation. All that knowledge cost you both your body and soul and then some. I wish Windreader will come back to life to continue this never-ending quest of wishing away banes. -
I thought these were supposed to be really dumbed down descriptions of things, not outright insane riddles T_T Is it Thrill-related?
-
He's been lightweaving since Warbreaker and probably earlier (I think even in Liar or Partinel?). Nothing special about that. It doesn't even seem to run on stormlight. Also, Patrick Star get over here! I don't have a Thread Necromancy picture on my phone!
-
Heralds are "human" though. As human as an immortal, eternally resurrecting super soldier can get at least, but human. The Stormfather is not.
-
Nightblood literally vaporized solid walls, ceilings, and Lifeless on contact. He'll be fine.
-
I've entertained that thought before but it sounded too bizarre so I never said anything. Now I remember he's an Epic. Bizarre is normal. Though I still find it amusing that we care so much about energy conservation with Oblit but not mass conservation with Prof.
-
He'd have 3, actually. He could full lash without help. But st least he can fly.
-
It's early exposition from Kelsier in the Final Empire, but I'll tag it as spoilers anyway since it's not relevant until Hero of Ages. Another TFE one, Chapter 10 I think
