You Know You're a Sanderfan When...
natc replied to Shardbearer's topic in General Brandon Discussion
When you are sad to be drawing blank on ideas for telling whether someone is a Sanderfan. -
Yes. The question being asked is where do dead spren end up if they aren't locked into blade form.
-
Then there are the orders who don't really care about morality for the most part.
-
Well, the spirit world seems peaceful enough now. So he got that on his RIP tally at least.

That name is weird anyway. All firebending besides lightning generation (why is this even a thing) involves combustion. The only difference here is that it is a case of psychic bending . . . I wonder if a psychic bloodbender can beat Szeth. It's a rare situation but we know it happens.
-
Firefight spoilers everwhere
-
But what about the other Combustionbender?
-
Well, obviously, their spiritwebs are probably made from investiture. We know that Scadrial humans in general contain more Preservation than Ruin too, so they're clearly invested as a species. But then that's what souls are made of anyway, which Nightblood would eat no matter who you are, or so it seems. What Scadrial doesn't have is some loose form of investiture that can be easily attached to a person. . . well okay, you can burn mist I guess to fuel Nightblood, but that's probably a bad idea for Preservation/Harmony's sake.

Well, strictly speaking most of the orders' attributes have nothing to do with doing good specifically. There's really a lot a skybreaker can get away with, and he'll be fine if he never breaks the law.
-
We don't really know what abilities Nightblood causes when affected by funky Roshar realmatics (he being a sentient splinter and all), so he might not need as much . . .

When you start considering the physical properties of magical energy sources in card games . . . -
Scadrial humans are created by Preservation and Ruin out of their power. Unless the Alethi (who are also apparently really tall) all turn out to be latent mistings I doubt Scadrial's position on this list.

I AM FREE!: Act 2.

I somehow managed to spawn a question without even talking about that topic. Interesting.

Vasher sensing spren is hardly unusual with his heightening count. We can throw all we know out the window really, because this isn't really just an awakened sword anymore. Nightblood gets his own category in Vasher's classification system, and really a thousand breaths is quite absurd a number for a single object.

Well you're in luck, because nobody is talking about electricity. We're discussing stormlight as an ideal gas here.

What does this have to do with the forced Everstorm transformation at all? Any Listener can ditch their form for another.
-
When the author himself continuously trolls us with "but I never confirmed he was Taln :3" I have to at least question his legitimacy out of principle.
-
And nobody said that was electrum, so. . .

He hears the screaming every time he closes his eyes, with not a single dead blade in sight.

When you see talking weapons in other stories and start wondering why they have fully developed senses of morality. -
According to the Coppermind, which did have a source for that line as well so I checked it. It's WoR Chapter 22, as Kaladin examines the ruby in the hearth. The pulsing though I don't see anymore so I might just be thinking of something else, but if it's not evenly diffused I guess the lighting is bound to occasionally focus in one direction. The light is steady relative to flickering candle flames, but the actual stormlight in the gemstone is just one chaotic storm swirling around. It glows continuously so I guess you don't notice either way.

Theory: The Heralds Caused the Desolations
natc replied to Secret Ardent Man's topic in Stormlight Archive
Question that is more or less answered in the prologue alone :/ -
They wouldn't have to discuss where to build it if Honor would just do it himself.

Parshmen were created by the Bondsmith from the WoR Interludes

Nahel bonds don't work that way man.
