  1. Well, they've done that one. They're at $60,000 now. Next stretch goal is at $67,500, then at $75,000. Seeing as it's been live a day and they've already made it this far, I wouldn't say they're going to have any trouble. I have to be honest, I'll probably wait for it to hit the shelves, as $50 in US dollars, plus credit card fees, currency change fees, shipping and handling fees (bearing in mind I need it to be shipped internationally), packaging fees, and we're-going-to-call-this-some-obscure-sounding-name-you-don't-know-what-it's-for fees, all together is a bit outside my budget range.
  2. ...Must... Not... Succumb... Must... Not... Surrender... Must... Not... Do anything but upvote adorable kittens...
  3. Eh... One of the people in the Dark Alley thread said they'd be lured down a Dark Alley if there were cookies. From there, someone made a joke about cookies being disguised as Hemalurgic Spikes, and things snowballed from there.
  4. Gamma, if you made a mistake with what happened to the action Night 1 with Nyali, can you PM Joe about it or mention it in the thread? I'm trying to make sense of what's going on here.
  5. @Argel, you asked how I would want to be associated with those characters, and whether Sharders would be offended by the name. Well, I can only speak for me, but my personal opinion is no. I have no problem with that. For one, they're fantasy characters. At the end of the day, they're not real, and I'm not those characters. For starters, these are characters that have been written in a book that I nearly tear apart flicking pages as I read, digest, process, and analyze. And, a quintessential part of these books are the villains. Without these characters, the book wouldn't be nearly as good. So, I love these characters, not because they're good people, or because I agree with them, or because I'd like them in real life, but because they serve to make the story, the elaborate illusion that Sanderson set up, a more interesting place. That doesn't change when these titles appear next to my name. When I am a Gyorn, or a Silent Gatherer, I can still accept that these titles are labels based of a story that I enjoy. Simply because they appear next to my name doesn't change who I am, what I stand for, or how others view me. In fact, beyond maybe a couple quick posts now and again, I usually completely forget my reputation is there a lot of the time. Finally, I would ask whether you think these examples could somehow lead to offence. Is it offensive if an actor plays a villain, be it James Earl Jones as Darth Vader, Christopher Lee as Saruman, or Ralph Fiennes as Lord Voldemort, simply because they don a role, it doesn't mean they support the views of the character, or would approve of their actions. Reputation works in the same way, except it's a hardly noticeable because it will only ever appear at a post besides your name for a period of time. So no, I see no problems with the titles as they are. When I first read your argument, I thought you were saying that one or two of the titles had a real-life connotation, which happened once before (for reference, I think it was Half-Blooded, a racial slur against African Americans, which got changed to Noble-Blooded). However, I see no problem with this. I'm sorry if I'm being overly aggressive with this. If you found anything I said to be offensive, then post or PM me, and I'll rephrase my point.
  6. By the sounds of things, we're out of the circle unless someone dies and it gets passed to use by an RNG. Unless... I think it was DC who would have passed to you last turn?
  7. Thanks! That helps a lot!
  8. @Araris Valerian Did you target me or Nyali night one? Also, why would I lie about getting detained? If anything, that would have cleared me of Fain that night.
  9. Gamma, can you confirm this? If that's true, then I don't know why my action failed. I'll check with Gamma if there's anything he forgot to tell me about (like being detained).
  10. @TwiLyghtSansSparkles Do you recommend DeviantArt for releasing a story online?
  11. Either you're lying, or there's a secret role that changes the appearance of role/alignment upon death. Honestly, the former is about 50 times more likely from our standpoint right now.
  12. Oh. I thought this was your first. My mistake. So does that mean it's just Jaime and Rubik that are new?
  13. Done and done. I never got a response. I later PM'd FirstRainbowRose about it, but she never responded. The thing is, I need a G-Mail account of some variety (even if someone were to create one just for this) to add someone to the mod list. If you or one of the other Admins want to do something about this, could you please PM me? Hmmm... @firstRainbowRose, I can now summon you to ask you about this. Is this still a thing? (If it's not, can you let me know so I know to stop bothering you about it?)
  14. Hmmm... Not really the most praising review I've seen, but I'll take it. Also, the thing was, the plan needed to have support to work, and it needed to work to gain support, which is what I had against it (also factoring inactives, etc. which is why I'm now permanently out of the loop unless someone dies and I inherit. Also, just so you know, I am taking a mental note whenever I see this kind of stuff for future games so I know what not to do when I am an eliminator... I think the case against Joe is a bit overstated. I don't trust him, but he's about neutral to me. At the moment, my suspicions: El, I trust, although I find her too determined to soft-clear the people who voted for Aman (I'm not really ready to soft-clear any of them, tbh. I can easily imagine them lynching an inactive eliminator to gain a village read for the rest of the game, seeing as they're not going to help much.) Elodin, I'm suspicious of, for similar reasons to Elbereth. I don't like him trying to imply that three poke-votes on three different people makes us suspicious, because they were completely unrelated. Joe, neutral. Can't really read him. I seem to be getting anti-paranoia on Shard Zero members provided they're not doing something too different to what they were doing in LG21. I'm trying to counteract that though. Maill, neutral. Similar story to Joe. Also, he doesn't seem to be posting that much due to his new job, which makes things trickier. Winter, I'll go back and re-read some posts. She seems more... restrained here then she does in LG22, which she herself said in that game was a sign she was an eliminator, as she would be doing a lot of her ranting in the doc instead. So, mild distrust, simply because that's one of the few things I know about her. Lopen, moderate trust. Posting a lot more than Joe and Maill, meaning that even if he is an Eliminator (which I'm not getting like I seemed to with LG22), we'll still gain information from that. Sart, neutral/mild distrust. Can't remember exactly why, but I'll go back and try to assemble my thoughts. Mek, moderate distrust. I suspect I'll be beating the dead horse if I talk about this any more, but you all know my reasons, since I've talked about them before. Zas, neutral. Could go either way. Bugsy, I can't really remember much of. I'll go back and look at some of his posts later.
  15. @jaimeleecee - now would be a good time to roleclaim and state your reasoning. By the looks of things, a lot of people trusted your word, and you appear to have broken it.
  16. In QF16 and LG22, I've started voting like this: @The Young Bard That way, it's both in red and it notifies the player. (Small tip: For some reason, you need to write the name first. If you start writing the code first, the @{player} won't register.) Unless anyone specifically has a problem with it, I'll probably keep doing it that way.
  17. So that's why the American numbers (besides Twi) are all so low. They come on at similar times to each other, which makes them harder to identify. Out of interest, though, once it's identified you, does the number actually do any good? Do you use it for anything again?
  18. Interesting. So, out of interest, what do the first 2 columns mean? I'm presuming one is the times that we've summoned the signature, and the middle one is the computer's serial number?
  19. Eh... ever so slightly worse. But it's not like you store the data or anything... You don't store the data or anything, do you?
  20. Eh, mid to late morning (i.e. 9 to 11 am) Sydney time in the Shard seems to be the peak. Exactly when I'm at school which blocks all forums all by default.
  21. @Mestiv, did you change your location service? It's changed location for some reason. (It's about an hour and a half drive's worth too far north now.) Also, I forget which of you it was that was raving about RWBY in this thread (I'm guessing Delightful here, as she's got a quote from it in her sig), but I watched it all in the space of about 3-4 days. Now I'm desperately searching the internet for when the next volume begins. If you're sitting on the fence about RWBY, I thoroughly recommend it. I actually wasn't fond of it when I started the first couple episodes, but it grew on me, and by the end, I couldn't get enough of it.
  22. Yes! Thankyou! Another non-American, at long last! What country are you from?
  23. I also have village reads on Araris. I'd rather not kill Conq on 2 SE games simultaneously, seeing as I'm trying to lynch him in QF16, and that would seem more like a personal attack than anything else. Hellscythe I trust. Out of Hael or Rubik, I'll vote for @RubiksCube for now. Hael has RL stuff, and Rubik hasn't contributed more than half a dozen's posts worth at best, and some of those aren't really useful either. I might change this before rollover, but that's the way I'm leaning for now.
