Just because people use that doesn't mean they know what they're talking about.

So over at InkWing.com they are having a contest to win a free Mistborn or Stormlight Archive T-shirt, and the contest is to say which characters from those books people would give birthday presnts to and what they would give them. Well that contest is only going on for a week, but i thought it might be fun to have a permanent version running, only without the free t-shirts, because I couldn't afford to give out free t-shirts. But I will give out upvotes. This is for any Adolansium mythos characters, not just Misborn and TSA. Try not to give the same gift to the same character that somebody else has already done. I'll start I would give Kaladin a year of professional counseling, because the guy needs it. I would give Shallan assertiveness training, for the same reason I'd give Sadeas an all-expenses paid trip to the South Pole, naked. I'd give Adolin a MP3 player with several audiobooks of dating advice installed. I'd give Jasnah a copy of The God Delusion, because I bet she'd like it. I'd give Ham a set of books on philosophy.

And Sazed is dating Cultivation, while being romantically pursued by Jasnah. Meanwhile we find out that Szeth wasn't actually forced to kill Galivar, he killed him to get at Navani, an is actually working for Taravagian just so he can have an excuse to kill Navani's latest boyfriend. And Taravagian is also in love with Navani, and eventually Szeth is going to kill him so he can date her. And Shallan falls in love with Drehy who is gay (no really Brandon actually said that) and in love with Moash, who's in love with Shallan.

I don't play Duke Nukem, I just make the occasionally crack at Delayed Nukem Forever.

I agree, no politics with my Sanderson! Politics sucks.

lol at Nexuspalm and Kelsier meddling and getting killed (again). That totally would happen. I'm going to be re-reading Elantris at some point, after I finish the million and one other things I want to read.....if only I could stop being addicted to re-reading bits of WoK, over and over again.

Which may be why Hoid (or whoever wrote the letter) called Odium the most terrible of all the Shards, Ruin will merely kill you, Odium will make sure you suffer horribly. And then kill you and make you suffer horribly after you're dead, if what he was apparently doing to the Heralds is any indication.

I think it might depend on the person, I did some poking around on Google an it looks like some people suffer permanent problems from being made to switch hands and others don't. Amusingly, I'm mixed handed, I write with my right hand (and can't with my left) but I prefer to throw balls and do other things that require strength with my left hand.

I'm blind in one eye, it'll probably just wreck it for me.

there used to be a comment on the TVTropes page about how it sounds like "paladin" and how well that fits him.....

it also looks too much like Mierin (Lanfear's birth name). Kaladin is much more distinctive.
