  1. That's what I believe. It's the only explanation I can think of for why Syl doesn't like them even though the KR used them, we saw in Dalinar's vision that they seemed to change when theKR gave them up and other people started using them to kill each other.
  2. the radioactive slime."
  3. Problem is there's at least one (maybe two if Odium killed Cultivation) Shardholder that was killed on Roshar, and as we've seen it's still possible to enter Shadesmar safely on Roshar provided you know what you're doing. So it probably doesn't have anything to do with the dead Shardholders. Unless the fact that there are no current Shards properly active on Sel is the problem?
  4. The chapter when Shallan goes there for the first time accidentally is called Shadesmar. Also,it'd be awfully difficult to planet-hop using that Aon since you have to know where you're going first and how far it is. Edited to fix grammar fail
  5. No I don't think the honorspren "stop" being Splinters hen they aren't attached to anybody, they aren't ordinary spren even if they act like it when they aren't bonded to somebody.
  6. the Returned Breaths are confirmed Splinters, and yeah, i think it's pretty likely that Seons/Skaze (Brandon called Skaze "evil Seons") are Splinters. And the spren that form bonds with people (honorspren an the symbolhead spren and whatever other types there might be) are probably Splinters as well.
  7. well Aona was already dead by that point, so presumably the mechanism that causes the Shaod is just running on autopilot and not able to adapt to changing circumstances.
  8. I like Mercy myself. Seems to me that the pool gave mercy to the suffering Elantrians.
  9. I read the Chronicles of Narnia when I was young (maybe 9?) then I moved onto Harry Potter in grade 7 or so. Although my first fantasy-ish book that I recall was The Magic Finger by Dahl. Think I was about 7. I don't remember how I got into WoT, but I think I was about 14 or 15. The first WoT book I got was a used hardcoveer copy of FoH, took me a bit to obtain EoTW.
  10. The comment about there being Splinters in WoK and Elantris for sure makes me even more sure about the Seons and spren (at least the ones that form nahel bonds) being Splinters. So woo. Also woo on confirmation that we're on the right track re: Aona's Shard.
  11. I own both Name of the Wind and Wise Man's Fear but I have to finish reading Academ's Fury bfore I start reading them.
  12. well with physical speed you can do it when you are sitting or lying still anyway, like if you''re watching TV or just before going to sleep. That way it doesn't matter much. but yeah, being stupid for a while would suck. Although storing weight might actually be helpful in certain circumstances. Being light could be really useful.
  13. I recall a line from Elend in HoA about possibly having people choose to get beaten once they're old enough. Maybe that's what happens. Or maybe most people that Snap do so in the Roughs re it's dangerous enough that they might get caught in a near-death situation.
  14. I think Brandon said AoL takes place 300 years after HoA and the second trilogy will be 500 years after HoA.
  15. There could be other cities named after the others. And they probably still have religious sects following them, or at least treating them like saints or something.
  16. I would like to announce that my computer is fixed, RAM was corrupted. Now I have more RAM.
  17. I'm in favour of Nightblood coming out sooner. I love Vasher. but either will be awesome.
  18. That pun is terrible, and should get you dragged into the street and shot. Also, Steel/iron twinkery!
  19. With mini-soulcaster fabrials to soulcast air into webbing!
  20. Copper or Bronze. Copper is obvious, never forget anything again, and with bronze you could store it up when you aren't busy and have time to sleep a lot, and tap it when you are busy and be able to use the extra hours to get everything done. Also if you are having insomnia you just store wakefulness and then hey presto no more insomnia. Maybe not very exciting, but definitely useful!
  21. Kelsier and Co. looking for the atium? I love this song, lets see if anybody can make a connection from it
