    They are there when unsummoned, like Captain Ico's father. Also apparently they return to the same location in Shadesmar as they were before they were summoned when unsummoned, otherwise shutting them up wouldn't work very well. Apparently Maya didn't have anyone that wanted to keep her from wandering around.

    I'd give good odds on it being Navani. That's what grandparents are for, and Jasnah's going to be busy.

    Spren do become somewhat more human-like in thought processes when bonded to a human apparently, but I think their basic personality remains constant. Remember, they have independent intelligence in the Cognitive Realm, they just lose their memories and intelligence when transitioning to the Physical Realm and need a bond to access them there. @Narcoleptic Axolotl Maya was/is a cultivationspren (like Wyndle).

    You'd definitely want spren who knew the deadeye in question helping, if possible, to find people who'd be the best possible personality match.

    There could be a school that accepts people from all walks of life, on equal footing. That would be a great way to encourage social reform while giving the poor a chance for self-improvement.

    I believe very strongly that in order to revive her Adolin will need to from a Nahel bond with her, as she was damaged by the loss of the bond, and it will need to be replaced for her to heal.

    Brandon has confirmed that lighthouse dude is an Elantrian. Specifically one of the random background Heod from Elantris.

    Bronze compounding would be nice. I hate needing to sleep. But gold compounding is obviously the most hax.

    I absolutely agree with that statement. Some people want to say the perpendicularity was responsible for the events, but I think that's kind of a stretch.

    Brandon has said that his habit of talking to his Shardblade is important, and we have seen why. He calls her a friend even before he knows her name. That shows how much he cares about her.

    I think the end result will be more or less the same as usual (though she might have some mental scars) but the process is definitely different, and I think reviving a dead spren has huge potential story implications. It'd change the status quo. Right now there's an issue with a lot of spren not wanting to bond, and having one of the dead ones get revived might help with that issue. Also, she'll know things that could be very important.

    Yeah, it requires a lot more work from the human partner, but the fact that she's responding at all suggests he's making some real progress.

    I think losing Adolin would destroy Shallan personally, the girl needs somebody to help ground her.

    We don't know for sure. It seems likely that meeting her in Shadesmar might be part of the reason but that's mostly speculation at this point.
