And the philosophy major steps forward.... Valid points, however. Perfectly chaotic. I commend you. Didn't you hear? It's not just babaji now. He's brought friends to the fold, spreading the glory of all things black magic. I hear it's quite the rage with kids nowadays. As for rent. For one, we don't recognize such things, and two, you dare to threaten the lords of all things chaos? You don't even know the chaotic wrath you'll bring upon yourself if you continue down this path. Your life will become lost and full of darkness. Best to just leave us alone and go beg the rent of the Newcago Court. They'll probably even pay up. Or bestow some title upon you as a way to avoid paying. Of course, it'll be a meaningless title, but that's to be expected from anyone who isn't chaotic.

Back in the days of TWG, I and a fellow TWG-er (sortitus) were voted as the Hero of Ages (or co-Heroes of Ages, in this case). We decided that since Ruin and Preservation were taken, we would create two new shards: Irony and Discord. I was Irony's holder; sort was Discord's. Even when we were impeached as Heroes, they never took away our shards. Hence, I still hold Irony.

Playing Musical Instruments anyone ?
little wilson replied to Queen Elsa Steelheart's topic in Entertainment Discussion
The only instrument I can actually play is the piano. Been playing that for almost 20 years (started lessons when I was 8). I can play half a song on the guitar, and I like to mess around with bongos (whether or not I succeed depends on the day and the song). I've never been one for classical music. Even when I was in piano lessons, my teachers never emphasized the classical composers. Sometimes I feel like I missed out on something with that, but I far prefer pop songs and themes (movies, TV shows, etc) to classical. I'd play Lord of the Rings or Jurassic Park any day over Fur Elise (although if I ever actually finish learning "In the Hall of the Mountain-King," that would be a strong contender against Jurassic Park). And while vocals aren't an instrument, I also love singing. I could spend hours playing and singing (and I've done so many times. ). -

Binnut, I'd thought you were a DF from the second you re-contacted me. When you said Khas had been slandering me, all I could think was that that didn't sound like something Khas would do. Especially the thing about the dead doc from the previous game. I also kept thinking that if Khas was trying to get you to think I was Fain, why would you break all contact with me? Communication with a person is one of the best ways to figure out if they're lying. And then contacting me immediately after he died just felt like you were trying to reconnect with the council, since your "in" there was dead. All-in-all, that was a great game. Team Evil played it very well (and totally in a way that I never want to face again). And Ash, I'm glad Shiv got you looking suspicious. If he hadn't, I'm not sure we would've won this game. You had me thoroughly convinced of your innocence, with that uber-paranoia PM. Trusting you is yet another mistake I will not be making again.- 503 replies

Holy crap, Khas. Thank you so much. Like, seriously. I can't say that enough. When Aonar recovered it, I was horribly worried that it would find its way to me, but you've fixed that right up. Mailliw sent me an email, saying that he isn't able to access the site, but he wanted to participate in the battle, so here's his RP:- 503 replies

Long Game 6: Daes Dae'Mar, The Great Game
little wilson replied to Gamma Fiend's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Witless hadn’t always been Witless, but he didn’t like thinking about his life before acquiring the insulting moniker. That was a life filled with training and his mother yelling at him to practice his forms. It was a life filled with the spear--the spear he was holding right now. The spear he used to pierce the neck of a trolloc. He spun away as the trolloc dropped to the ground dead, and he twirled his spear, ready for the next trolloc, but no more came. The hordes were retreating from their latest charge. He hurried the little way to the walls of the village, ignoring the stranger who had decided to help them. Lost in his thoughts, he soon found himself standing in front of his late parents’ home. His home now, technically, even though he never slept there. It seemed he couldn’t even escape his parents’ hold when they died. His mother had been a former Maiden of the Spear, before she’d abandoned them after the Aiel War. She’d made sure to pass her knowledge onto him, despite the fact that he wasn’t a fighter. He’d never been a fighter, but she refused to think she’d birthed a child who couldn’t stand the sight of blood, who couldn’t hold a spear. So she’d trained him out in the woods, every day, until finally he gave up and pretended to be a fool, just like his father. His father had started life with only half a brain and had lost the other half before his thirtieth birthday. Witless had figured mimicking a fool might get him off the hook. And he’d been right….but now he was a little worried he’d played the fool a little too well. He’d played it so well and forgotten his past so cleanly that he couldn’t even remember his own name. It was just Witless now, even though he knew he wasn’t really witless. Still, he couldn’t help wonder how long a person could live a lie before it became the truth. Was he truly witless now? Would he ever be anything else? So I’m tired, and I’m up far too late, so this was mostly just thrown together before the game ends (hopefully). Figured I might as well get the RP down that I’ve had running through my head for a few days now…. Also, Trimat. Why did you kill Aonar? I was actually starting to think he might survive a whole game. Poor guy. Even worse, you buried him in manure. That’s pretty crappy. And I’m pretty sure it’s the manure where you buried the panda. ….hm. Does that mean Aonar’s going to get infected with the evil of Mashadar now? ...yikes.- 503 replies

YES! Oh, it doesn't get much better than that. Things are looking up quite solidly now. So....to get back to the Fang discussion, at this point, I'm okay with either one of them. I mean, it doesn't really matter who we get. Although....actually. Shiv might be better. There's a chance that with Ash camping, he might not be on to make the kill the next night, so we might be able to get by without losing another person. Maybe. It's unlikely, but it's more likely than Shiv forgetting to make a kill.- 503 replies

We should probably wait to find the results of the lynch before deciding on the Fang. While it's nice to get a plan of action (and I do love me some plans, as anyone who's been on Team Evil with me can attest), if Dellan's the Forsaken, it doesn't really matter which one we Fang. The only time it matters is if he's not.- 503 replies

Long Game 6: Daes Dae'Mar, The Great Game
little wilson replied to Gamma Fiend's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Wes already used his Water weave. We suggested that he use Spirit on Dellan, but I'm not sure he saw it, and even if he did, if Khamsi used Spirit on him, that would've cancelled it. And according to the write-up, it looks like he tried to use Air, probably on Nath (I'd thought he'd already used his Air weave though, on Night 4....). And it may be a little redundant at this point, but Dellan, just to solidify it a little more. As for the mayor....At least this time, I'll be able to make the double vote count for something. Rather than a lynch of an innocent. Good thing they can't kill me tonight.....(unless we're wrong about Dellan being the Forsaken, and the last two decide to double-team me, but I don't see why they would do that...). And yes, I am admitting to being of the Three Fold Land...The only reason I'm doing so publicly at this point is because Shiv already knows (we're pretty sure that's why he claimed Aiel-Blooded in the first place--to get Wes to suspect me), which means the DF's know and if they know, there's no point in keeping it hidden.- 503 replies

First, can someone fix that down vote on Newan's post? I'm on my phone and while scrolling through reading the thread, I accidentally tapped the screen in just the wrong spot... I still haven't decoded Shiv's message yet so I have no idea what he said. I only barely got Aonar's epistle done (seriously, Aonar? You had to write that much? I'm doing this manually since I don't have my computer...). However, I agree with Aonar. Both the coded message and the one right here. There isn't any point in writing in the code now is there? Since Shiv broke it... However, I hope there's evidence of that on the doc. I want to see it. That's the biggest thing I was looking forward to, post-game.- 503 replies

Personally I would feel a lot better going after Trimat, but it's getting very late in the day, with only a little over an hour left. However, with only 2 votes out there right now that's still enough time for the DFs to pull a small upset to save one of their skins for another day. I vote Bunnt.- 503 replies

I said I was part of Wes' verified group, but I also said that I myself hadn't been Viewed. I gave the same reasonings to you for my innocence that I did earlier in this thread, so I'm not sure what kind of deceit you're trying to hint at for me. Fact is, if I were evil, Ralv would've died days ago, and I'm not sure why the DF's didn't kill him then. Ralv told both me and Khamsi at the same time, so they knew. As for the stuff about me and Khamsi....Shiv is very persuasive. I knew from Game 2 that he was very intelligent but he died that same day, and even if he hadn't, I was evil so I wouldn't have been in communication with him anyway. This is the first game he's played since then, and he was one of the people I most wanted to hear back from when I sent the PMs that first night, because I remembered the logical arguments from Game 2. I figured he'd be a great asset to the villager side. And while the evidence built up against him, I stayed in contact with him, and he seemed just as confused as we all were about what was going on. It looked to me that he was being set up. So yes. I defended him in the PM group. I didn't want us to fall for another trap. However, it's now painfully obvious to me that I should've listened to the evidence rather than to the highly intelligent player who clearly knows how to subtly manipulate and persuade people. That's a mistake I won't be making with him again.- 503 replies

I'm going to have to partially disagree with this, at least in terms of the number of deaths/conversions per cycle. Where this is a QF, that's the point. A lot of deaths per cycle. It's one of the biggest factors to the fast-paced nature of the game. When I first saw this game, it was before the Renegade was in, and my first reaction was that the conversions prolong the game and make it more of a Mid-Range than a Quick Fix, despite the simplicity of the game. However, with the Renegade, the group kill, and the conversions, it's got the fast-paced nature the QF needs. That said, I agree with Meta that Hoid should have to decide between using his power and converting. I would also suggest that unless one of his powers is a killing power, he cannot kill. The group kill is specifically a thing for his converts. That will lower the number of kills possible on the first day, but still keep the game fast-paced enough. As for PM's, I like the idea of limited, but giving the ability to the Researchers themselves makes them a little too powerful, despite having to be careful about how they use it. What if there's a role sort of like the Willshaper in Khas' game? A role who can send PMs and they start the game knowing the identity of one of the Researchers (so there'd be 2-3 of these roles, one per Researcher). Then they'd still have to be careful who they contact, since if they die before they get into contact with another Researcher, their Researcher is all alone. If you go with that idea, though, you'll want to restrict the PM's even more, maybe like the Spanreeds were. 1 reply to every PM from the person. On the flip side, it could be interesting without PM's at all. But that would make it significantly harder for Team Good. Not impossible, but just much harder.

Long Game 6: Daes Dae'Mar, The Great Game
little wilson replied to Gamma Fiend's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Witless wanted to sleep for a week. Yet at the same time, he never wanted to sleep again. He was exhausted from all the planning the last few days, and he hadn’t slept at all the night before, despite tossing and turning all night long. The woods were a mess, but he knew that wasn’t it. It was the dream he’d had the night before last. A strange animal had appeared in it, and it looked vaguely like the creature that traveller, Jain, had always been talking about. Witless had never gotten close enough to see the toy the man carried with him, but what had appeared in his dream looked like the same thing--a panda. And it had terrified him. The panda had followed him, watched him, and smiled the entire time. And while that was bad enough, right before Witless woke, he swore he heard the thing mutter, “I’m coming for you.” Since then, the woods just didn’t feel right. It was like there was something else out there, watching the town, waiting. Something evil. Something Witless didn’t want anything to do with. But he hadn’t seen anything out in the woods, and the Dark One take him if he was going to be scared away from the only place he felt like he really belonged. Courage notwithstanding, Witless still couldn’t bring himself to relax enough to sleep. Morning hadn’t come fast enough for Witless, and he’d hurried the short distance back into town, hearing a scream just as he passed the smithy. He watched Erik and some of the others dispose of Ralv and Lam’s bodies in the mass grave, and he sank down to the ground, buried his head in his hands, and just wished for this whole mess to be over, for the Dark Friends to be gone, and to have his old life back--the one before his neighbors died every day. I’ve been a lot more active and open in this game than I was in either of the previous games I was on Team Evil. There’s always the possibility that I could be trying something different, but trust me: if I were evil, Ralv would’ve died two nights ago; the night he told me who he was and who else he had told. I would’ve killed both of them, PM’s would’ve been down much earlier, and the only person who could reveal me (assuming Ralv didn’t tell someone else as well) would be dead as well. I realize that’s not the best defense, but it’s really the best I’ve got. I haven’t been Viewed. 54901325738256605480141217111270721382732014251447 170014534947136021472514825313531322255054463740111282132513 11801282121483171037277017141245103245252045471245 22124025324560373273374670733738408217213925131447130013822573114083 391473125072388045822545132011768212902513147350833947126 072151470372740122913905383505647257210727353138247136039562 51482117054378047538276474983- 503 replies

Long Game 6: Daes Dae'Mar, The Great Game
little wilson replied to Gamma Fiend's topic in Sanderson Elimination
That was quite unexpected… Clearly I was wrong about Ralv. I don’t really have anything to add to Wes’ statement during the night. He explained everything pretty well (except for some of the details involving Maill’s verification. Khas didn’t tell me his actual action since he was attempting to verify my trustworthiness as well). At this point in time, it is imperative that we kill the Forsaken. The problem is that while we’re nearly certain that Khamsi, Dellan, and Trimat are all Darkfriends, we’re less certain about the identity of the fourth, and we only have our suspicions about their roles--which is that Khamsi is the Channeler, and Dellan is probably the DF Wisdom. Which leaves Trimat and the last DF as the Forsaken. We have suspicions on who the last person is, but input would be great. If we don’t kill the Forsaken today, this game is over for the Villagers. That’s a guarantee. 5420728314502114494917472915307225174711103732733730131273154014121770832282827325721311901729124783 2083827376803245255014738340171412103383531310292582151160293960257247804725407337385049255325133013 8217142520134747507372471082837025131473301747822113171225115073171230761282729072385017291429121560 835373294745507376323870224712837325402549391217538320419427502125132253538247141325 Combine that all into one to decode it, since I forgot that posting a single unbreaking line messes with the how the page loads and looks, and I have no idea where the line breaks are currently.- 503 replies

Long Game 6: Daes Dae'Mar, The Great Game
little wilson replied to Gamma Fiend's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I really shouldn't be doing this right now, since I'm exhausted and my brain hates me. I apologize if this post is incoherent. I'd do RP, but Witless is asleep (where I should be), resting from this long day of working through the vast manipulations of the DFs and would therefore be boring. Sorry. On to the vote. We have 5 votes for Khamsi. I cannot, in good conscience, join in this, since I'm not at all certain that Khamsi is a DF. For a while, I was convinced she was, but now I'm even more convinced that this is a set-up. She is being framed, and we are falling into this trap that the DF's have set up just as much as we fell into the trap with Bela. There are a few ways I could vote today. I could go for the Dreamwalker who still lives, even though it would be strategically incompetent for the DF's to allow us to continue PMing after losing such crucial roles. Unless the Dreamwalker was a DF. I could go for the claimed Wisdom, who has garnered suspicion for their behavior. I could go for Trimat, since Shiv's statements about his "reliability" is totally accurate. However, I have my sights set on a slightly higher priority target. The Forsaken himself. Grimlar al'Pil. You said near the beginning of the game that we couldn't win without lynching people.....I'm confused. We've lynched people every day--people we've had evidence on--but we still have nothing to show for it. You also said that you would be more offensive in this game, but you really haven't spoken much, despite being active. In fact, the day you spoke the most was the day we lynched Bela. Yet that was also the day you didn't vote. Could it be because you were playing a deeper game, getting everyone else to lynch the person you'd helped frame? Additionally, I called you out day one, and you defended yourself that night. The defense wasn't bad--in fact I was willing to accept it (even though you never did respond to my statement that lynching does not necessarily mean that you will win). The only problem has been that you never responded to my PM. You still haven't. You're the only active player left alive who has completely ignored me. Which is funny, since I accused you. If you were innocent, why would you completely ignore your accuser? Wouldn't you at least kind of throw up a defense of yourself to them personally? Rather than just in the thread? That would be the logical conclusion. Unless you're a DF. Then you'd want to avoid me. Because I'd be analyzing every word you said. And, since you're evil, I'd notice. And you'd get lynched. But you don't want that so it's easier to just.....not answer. Plus Jerric's already mentioned the amazing coincidence of my accusation of you and then the Forsaken not attacking on Night 1. And it makes perfect sense that you wouldn't because I'd laid out a very logical accusation with a fair bit of evidence to back me up... You had a target and you were worried about the Viewer. Or the Thief-Taker. Either one could be devastating to you if made a kill and I happened to get into contact with one of them. Shame that I didn't. Shame that neither of them Viewed you that day. Of course, one of that is probably working for you, so no shock there. You really should've answered. Or at least talked to someone. The fact that you haven't really doesn't look good for you. The fact that people have to pry to extract anything at all from you and we still haven't been able to confirm the role you gave. Things aren't looking good for you....In fact, you might say they look rather.....grim. I'm not sure if you'll die today or tomorrow, but I know who you are. And I won't stop until you're dead.- 503 replies

You're welcome. A Mashadar Zoo in the realms of Chaos could actually be just what we need to help on our mission to incite chaos in others. Obviously, we need order in the Court. But outside of it? Everything is game. All the things. Including Mashadar. Plus, think of the revenue it would bring in (although I'm not sure what currency it would use)....Of course, you'd probably want charge high prices for the admission. You won't be having people return....
-
.....oh sweet mother of all that is chaotic, please no. Don't bring that chaos into these courts. Keep it out there. And anyway, I couldn't find any Mashadar Penguin gif! You're welcome for the pandas, tigers, and meerkats though. How's that zoo coming along? So long as you establish a fair distance away from the Courts of Chaos, I think the Mashadar Zoo could become a quite lovely attraction for visitors. Quite chaotic, I believe.

He has very good hunches, and I'd bet when he tosses that dice, it's over players who he has equal suspicion for, as is evidenced by the reasons he gives when he votes.- 503 replies
