Hmm... I'm not Voidus, but I don't really think that hunting down "lame" Epics is the Salem City Guard's job. Soulcaster can always balance the fights by tweaking powers or the Arena design, and in my headcanon there are different brackets, like Close-Range, Unpowered, Survival, or Upgraded where "weaker" Epics could fight without being any different than their more powerful counterparts. If you want an arena design, Voidus, what are the powersets of both contestants?

Lady Deathskull stood and turned towards Mouldbreaker, her expression masked by a metal faceplate that was, unsurprisingly, shaped like a grinning skull. This should be good. "My name," the Epic began in a thick Mexican accent, "is Lady Deathskull. I have travelled far and wide to come here. I wish to join in with these fights that whoever runs this city stages. Both for fun and for the promised rewards. Are you the master of this city, or some kind of enforcer?" Well... sparks. Kind of hard to find an excuse to pummel an Epic's face into the pavement when she's actually being pretty polite. She continued. "Oh... But why wouldn't I be able to scare them? Fear and politeness are the best methods to inspire obedience, I have found." Mouldbreaker ground his teeth. He had come into the bar expecting an amusing confrontation, and all he got was some simpering old Mexican woman. Next time Think Tank called in a violation, he might just let Showstopper address it instead, probably blowing the whole bar up in the process. But Soulcaster would have his head if he blew off an Epic as powerful as this. Trying to shake off his Corruption, Mouldbreaker bit off an introduction. "Yes, I'm the leader if Law Enforcement here. Short version: I'm the nice one, so stay on my good side." The skull mask just stared at him, hiding the expression underneath. Mouldbreaker was tempted to transfersate it just to punish the woman for not giving him his fun. "If you win enough matches to gain Soulcaster's favor, you can go psycho on these vanillas for all I care, but in the meantime you're at the bottom of the pecking order. Around here, being an Epic isn't an excuse to commit random acts of violence until you've clawed your way to the top. If I so much as get an anonymous tip that you've been hurting people outside of the arena, I'll just stroll on over and terminate you. "Head over to Think Tank and fill out an entry form, if you're feeling up to it. I'd love to see you in the arena sometime." Getting your head crushed by Supermaximus Outlaw was peering over his shoulder. Breaker gestured that he should do the same, then ignored Deathskull's response and stormed outside.

I think we should probably establish the population of The Dalles, as well as how big the army is.

Eshonai's POV's kind of struck me as spoilers. There wasn't any tension in the last few chapters because we already knew what was going on :/

"Lady Deathskull" was still there when he entered the bar. Good. Mouldbreaker took a deep breath, then transfersated a tiny patch of earth a few feet below the ground. The feelings of his Corruption began to flow through him: Anger at everyone else's ineptitude, a notion of superiority, and a drive to conquer and dominate others. Mouldbreaker's Corruption, in small doses, turned him into a petty bully. He was fine with that. He used that. Petty bullying was basically the Salem City Guard's job. He strode forward, gripping his blackjack underneath his coat. Outlaw let Shadowfax run free once he and the sheriff had apparently reached their destination. He could always call the horse back if he needed him. "Epics like this typically have to be humbled and humiliated before they cooperate, so I'd leave any metal objects out here so that I don't have to tranfersate them to keep her from using them against us." He nodded. Transfersation... Outlaw wasn't completely sure what a Skinwalker had to do to in order to attain that level of power, but it had to be bad. From what Outlaw knew, most transfersion abilities were involuntary and could only simultaneously affect all solid and liquid matter in a given area. Having the ability to choose what he changed made Breaker both unique and powerful. He dropped his gun onto the ground. It was a shame that he wouldn't be able to use it if things went bad, seeing as he was the fastest draw in the State. Mentally going through his belongings, he also dropped his belt and Bowie Knife. Many of the saloon's patrons appeared to be on edge when Outlaw entered the room. Some were clearly newcomers, and they didn't seem to care much about the new Skinwalker's disturbance. The rest were nervously cutting their eyes between Breaker and the Deathskull lady. Actually, it wasn't exactly clear to Outlaw what exactly Deathskull had done to draw the Town Lawkeepers' ire, but Breaker was obviously preparing himself for a fight. As Outlaw watched, the sheriff took a deep breath and then turned his usual, bored expression into a hostile glare aimed at the oblivious Skinwalker. Outlaw followed him across the room until the sheriff was standing over the metal manipulator, hiding his right hand underneath his coat. Holding a weapon? The man reached out with his free hand and tapped hard on Deathskull's metal-plated shoulder. "How's it going, cupcake? You mind telling me why you've been running around threatening the citizens of Salem?"

Well, MBTI was extremely accurate when it diagnosed me. The only thing that those INTJ profile pic "whatevers" got wrong was saying that I liked planning everything out whenever I did something (I really prefer to improvise.) MBTI is mostly based off of Jungian psychology. It's a categorization of the way you tend to process information, and people who process information and see the world in the same way tend to act similarly. For example, INTJ's have a tendency to be extremely cynical and idealistic at the same time. Why? Because they believe that people are logical and that Utilitarianism is also logical, so people should be willing to act selflessly when the net good outweighs the net bad, but they also see patterns in behavior (such as employers tending to pay their workers the lowest possible wage, needless wars and dictatorships, and emotional manipulation in advertisements, etc.) that seem to denote that human beings are naturally evil. As objective analysts they process all of this information and also want to draw concrete conclusions about it. I stated previously that it's probably best to self-diagnose. Those tests are much too variable when most people take them. My results on tests are usually ISTP or something like that, even though I'm definitely a strong INTJ. I posted a little summary of each trait towards the beginning of the thread.

Would he still be able to teleport exactly 5 feet? Instead of 5 inches or 500 feet, for the small and large Timeports, respectively?

Darn right. And it was a fantastic post, too.

Is reading The Stormlight Archive worth it?
Mckeedee123 replied to Red Ferring's topic in Stormlight Archive
I know! Just think about it... It's Stormlight 10. The avatar of Odium is standing on a beach in the Frostlands with our heroes arrayed before him, helpless and Stormlight-less. Suddenly, the Stick he's been standing on (which has been going through an intense existential journey spanning 8 books) erupts into an enormous pyre of flame, engulfing him and ending evil in the Cosmere forever. A voice rings out from the Cognitive Realm: I am FIRE. It was always my destiny to be FIRE, and I can accept it now. Thank you, Shallan, for showing me the light. I'm just sayin' it would be cool. -
What is a Kobold, In the context of your name? The only Kobolds I know of are from Dwarf Fortress. Speaking of which, do you consider yourself a gamer?

We have an RP open in a city called The Dalles. Close enough. Mexican. Mexican food is the best.

Awesome! If roughly 50% of the people on the forum are INTJ (ie. Evil mastermind personality) then we can safely initiate our plan to conquer the forum and force Brandon to finish Stones Unhallowed first.

When will Nighthound die? When will Corpsemaker and Lightwards finally start fighting? When does Orange Crush kill Khione, Mobius, Iconoclast, and Steelheart, proving himself to be the true hero of the Reckoners RP? What's everybody's favorite type of music? (Rock, for me.)

Or we could just pretend he's burning Atium, except without the enhanced reflexes (or maybe with them... either way.)

Arranging fights would be complicated, yes, but they're partially scripted already anyway. More importantly, the job of making the sequences work would go to King instead of the rest of us. Workload avoided Mostly, I just visualized him as having some extra knowledge. He basically just knows what would happen if he did not have knowledge of the future for a space of 10-ish seconds or so ahead of him.

Now that I think of it, though, making him a precog would be an excellent way to have the same powerset without all of the rewriting that would be involved with the current idea. He would still be just as obnoxious, sneaky, creepy, or awesome (depending on how you want to write him) but he'd be a heckuva lot easier to include. A heckavu lot easier, believe me. Your call, though. Speaking of cues, by the way: Blackhoof's Lady Deathskull just introduced herself to two of your characters, Venture Mistborn, and the story is at somewhat at a standstill until they respond. Just sayin' (in a friendly reminder sort of way) in case you didn't pick it up. I hope we can get through the "bar intro" scene pretty quick and collectively move on to an Arena fight.

Think about action sequences, though... Fighting scenes usually aren't more than 30 seconds a post. Oftentimes they only cover about 15-20 seconds. That seems to be the most common situation in which the power would be used, too. And ultimately, the end result isn't really much different than if this guy were simply a powerful precog (a power that's actually canon.) That's what's bothering me the most.

I don't know... I could see this creating some real nightmarish situations if multiple characters are involved, considering that it normally takes days for storyline cues to be responded to. If this guy used his powers near a perspective character it could easily add an extra RL extra week or two to the time it takes to resolve the situation.

Except that people would still have to rewrite posts. The storylines kind of get slowed up enough as it is, if there are enough perspective'd characters in the room. Note the scene in the MoNA where there was a little "meet 'n greet" between 13-ish characters and it lasted forever. I don't want to be "that guy," especially since I'm relatively new here, but I think that the format for writing this RP just can't support a character like this without severe backlog. I'm glad you're here, though.

Well, it's cool, but it's kind of hard to do in an RP format. People would have to rewrite posts continuously for the new timelines.

Downvotes? For saying you liked Adolin? Who did this? Where? Why? How can I counteract it? -
:/ Yeah, I was sort of confused as to why there was a downvote on that
