  1. Uh, I think it was the dustbringer oaths? I don't even remember anymore.
  2. I played a pipe organ once. It was in a church, but I didn't know any church music and nobody else was around but me, my friends, and the organist, so I improvised some jazz instead.
  3. Or...You could just look at someone's profile, and click on the button that says "Display Name History". It's right below the big green (hopefully) box. It could be a big red box, but...
  4. I stabbed the happiest individual squarely after we ordered roast deer. ILY
  5. I was out for a month, and could still recognize your pic when I got back. Thanks.
  6. On a scale of nothing to detailed treatises from the Canton of Recording, how much better does it explain the politics and religion of Era 2?
  7. You totally missed Waynespren
  8. Gerald Morris' The Squire's Tale series. It's absolutely fantastic, and I very very rarely rave about books. I just finished rereading The Ballad of Sir Dinnadan, which is part of the series and references events in the other books, but you don't need to read any of the others in order to understand Dinnadan. It works as a great introduction to the series, which is a retelling of Arthurian legends from the point of view of some of the less famous or unmentioned characters (like Sir Dinnadan, and Sir Gawain's squire, the title character). The series is absolutely entertaining, although in a different style than discworld, and definitely grants appreciation of Arthurian legend and mockery of those who told it.
  9. I like bagels, sometimes more than doughnuts. Depends on the time of day, mainly. At 5:30 in the morning, I think I'd rather have a bagel. By 7:00, definitely doughnut. By lunch it can go either way, but I like bagels toasted so if I'm at home I do that, otherwise probably doughnut. Mid afternoon, doughnut, and neither lasts me 'till dinner.
  10. Cider, for fall, winter, spring... actually, they're pretty much the same for me. Favourite genre of music (I feel like I've done this one before)?
  11. Yeah, that sounds like depression. Hate to break it to you, but yeah. Depression is fairly misunderstood, and most people think it's just being sad all the time, but it's primarily just lack of feeling about anything. It's probably a chemical thing, like Silverblade said, and while it sucks, you can get over it. However, you probably won't be able to get over it just by trying to fake happiness if it is depression. You basically have to reset your system, in a sense. It's not like brief anger (road rage) or a phobia. Talking through it can help, but no amount of cat videos will magically fix your ennui. Good luck.
  12. Too many choices... I'll go with Crowd Chant by Joe Satriani, Live in Montreal version. Favourite vocal song?
  13. Granted, but you are another face in the crowd to him. He exchanges a few pleasantries, then rushes off on important business. I wish to have the cure for dolphin cancer. I don't care about human cancer, just my late porpoise. edit: Sorry if that came off as offensive. My grandmother died of cancer, so I know the feeling of losing someone to cancer, but in the alternate reality where I got a porpoise I became quite obsessively attached to it. It's name was Jeremiah.
  14. Always a worthy pursuit. As it should be.
  15. I like it. Upvotes all around.
  16. Brass tend to be rather good at that sort of logic.
  17. My brother says he used WoR cover as his wallpaper for a while, then switched it to a map of Roshar.
  18. So what you do is gain a citizenship in a country that doesn't do do that, then live in America (at least part time) anyway. Ireland is the usual choice in the UK, I understand.
  19. Like one of those giant bibles they had in really old churches that were absolutely ginormous and were chained down so no one would take it?
  20. Would any of the Inquisitor emoticons be added? I use them all the time.
  21. I know my high school marching band was a front for a cult. True story. It was devoted to our band director, and often came in conflict with the worshippers of the Elder Gods of instrumental music. My section leader sacrificed the cap of her valve to the band gods, and was blessed with much good fortune, including finding another cap, but it was not enough to make me convert. I remained a firm follower of Woodsism.
