  1. Spoiler: there's plot twists.
  2. I did once. I went through and upvoted almost all of Brandon Sanderson's posts. I had to resume the next day, unfortunately.
  3. -People who tell you to tilt your head backwards when you've got a bloody nose. Believe me. I'm an expert on this. -People who call basses "guitars". Expert on this, also. There's a difference.
  4. [qoute]A word to the foolish: don't insert images if you don't know if it will work. Guess what I'm about to try?

Hmm... that bit didn't seem to do anything...

      Phase 2!

Well, that didn't do anything either. Good?

  5. Yeah, Recluse is very bouncy, and I've only read a half dozen or so books in it, but those that I have read were quite good and were interesting in that they "bounced" to historical points referenced in other books and tie together fairly well. Also, because of their bounciness, you aren't stuck reading them in order, and reading them out of order can lent quite different perspectives.
  6. Good riffs, good song. Unfortunately, I was already feeling down and this didn't help a lot. Like the video, though. Kinda reminded me of back in the depression era, trains and runaways and such. This song won't help much either. Apparently this song was used in the movie Leon: The Professional.
  7. Do you art?
  8. The order/chaos based system from L.E. Modesitt's Saga of Recluse
  9. - People who assume I dislike most popular things for that very reason. I feel like I'm being a very argumentative person right now, which really annoys me. RE Pockets: I wear a jacket or sweatshirt almost 24/7...
  10. Seconded. -edit- Better, I guess...
  11. Yeah, see what we have to deal with?
  12. Indeed it is. Not at all music, but I keep listening to this over and over and over...
  13. For having a really really cool avatar. It's seriously awesome.
  14. People who argue about climate change. Not even trying to be funny, it annoys me to the point that I want to hit something. Other things that make me want to break stuff: ~People, especially teenagers, arguing about politics. ~People arguing, repeating propaganda. ~People who deny that mass media is propaganda. ~Liberals who refuse to accept conservatives as having legitimate ideas. ~Those same liberals talking about accepting everybody. ~Conservatives who deny that liberals have legitimate ideas. ~Politicians. ~People who argue about politicians. ~People who disrespect those who have authority over them, especially band directors. ~People who intentionally sabotage or otherwise conspire against those who are in authority. ~People who misquote things more than once. ~People who repeat themselves more than once. ~Wannabes ~Self-righteous and/or vain people. Probably more on this later.
  15. They do, they just get upgraded shiny new metal ones.
  16. Hmm, my name was changed back and I didn't even do anything! Odd.

  17. No, we've got a dice roller thing on the Steel Ministry, you type in a bit of code [dice]3d6[/dice] and it spits out a result. Pretty nifty.
  18. Mornin'! Do you art?
  19. "Light"?
  20. I was considering mentioning that, but didn't want her getting ideas... Definitely possible, but it's best to give them a bit of time to do so, so no changing every measure... Give 'em a few measures rest if you do want to change, and hope they aren't tone deaf. I've had a few players like that... they join percussion to escape playing notes, then they have to do xylo and timp... not fun...
  21. RE: Timps Just realize that, although they can be tuned, you're still basically limited to 4 notes per song, 'cause you get 4 drums and one note per drum per song. So, the notes themselves don't matter all that much, but pick which four you want most. Look up a few videos of timpani solos. I'll see if I can find you a few. Timps are really fun to play, but getting a good tone takes work, as does getting them in tune and keeping them that way.
  22. Why were we arguing about lashing bullets? Wouldn't it be easier and safer to take care of the gun itself?
