I wonder what it is like when Lift touches other spren. A vine-like spren is easy to imagine, but what about Pattern? He's a shifting fractal made of thin lines. Could Lift grab him? What would it feel like? Maybe like a squirmy sea anemone? If she grabbed onto a flying spren, could it carry her? Could she wrestle spren into doing her will? Could she grab onto Stormfather's nose and make him carry her across the continent?

We're going to make a song! Sing it to the tune of "Human" by The Killers (quite appropriately). Here's how it goes. If you have an idea for the line, post it in green. The one with the most upvotes is chosen. I will update this original post with that line, and we will move on to the next line. I will provide the first line of the chorus: 9) Are we human or Allomancer? Edit: I decided I should add the original lyrics into this post. Now we can use the numbers to show which line we are referring to. Edit 2: I am adding the current favorite lines, but if new ones are posted and get more upvotes, I will interchange them. 1) I did my best to notice 2) When the call came down the line 3) Up to the platform of surrender 4) I was brought, but I was kind 5) And sometimes I get nervous And sometimes I get murd'rous 6) When I see an open door 7) Close your eyes, clear your heart 8) Cut the cord 9) Are we human or are we dancer? Are we human or Allomancer? 10) My sign is vital, my hands are cold This precious vial, I'll down it all 11) And I'm on my knees looking for the answer 9) Are we human or are we dancer? Are we human or Allomancer? 12) Pay my respects to grace and virtue Pay my respects to our Lord Ruler 13) Send my condolences to good Send my condolences to Vin 14) Give my regards to soul and romance - Give my regards to Preservation 15) They always did the best they could He always did his best to win 16) And so long to devotion 17) You taught me everything I know 18) Wave goodbye, wish me well 19) You've gotta let me go 9) Are we human or are we dancer? Are we human or Allomancer? 10) My sign is vital, my hands are cold This precious vial, I'll down it all 11) And I'm on my knees looking for the answer 9) Are we human or are we dancer? Are we human or Allomancer? 20) Will your system be alright 21) When you dream of home tonight? 22) There is no message we're receiving 23) Let me know, is your heart still beating? 9) Are we human or are we dancer? Are we human or Allomancer? 10) My sign is vital, my hands are cold This precious vial, I'll down it all 11) And I'm on my knees looking for the answer 19) You've gotta let me know 9) Are we human or are we dancer? Wandrin Nuvidas swaggered into the room, leaning heavily on a gaudy cane. He then stood up straight and pointed the cane directly at a well-dressed young man he had never seen in his life. "You are a mistborn. I can see it in your eyes." Wandrin smiled as the people around him reacted with laughs and snorts of derision. How they must wish they were as brilliant as he! How boring it must be to have a simple, normal mind. He spun about and pointed his cane at an old man. "And you... are secretly a WOMAN!" Wandrin walked away quickly. He always left before they told him whether his deductions were accurate. Why wait? Wandrin knew that he was always right, because nobody had ever told him he was wrong. He stopped abruptly and turned. He waited for a moment while his Terris servant caught up to him. "Tell me I'm smart, Bwin" said Wandrin. Bwin sighed. "You are smart, Lord Wandrin." "How smart?" "So very, very smart. Really quite brilliant." Wandrin grinned. "I thought so."

Quick Fix Game 2: Crushthroat's Beginnings

Riingar: this is another case of me agreeing with someone and you finding it suspicious. I had just naturally fallen into trusting Hreo, but then Mai pointed out that Hreo had done suspicious things. I went back and looked through, and I realized that Mai was right. I really don't understand how that makes me seem suspicious. If I wanted the chart to be propaganda, I would be putting my name on it. People keep acting like I am construing the charts to brainwash people. I am just trying to be open with all of my suspicions, and the chart makes that easier, especially for people who don't like reading long posts. They can scroll down, see what I think, then look back to the specific part of my post that concerns what they want to know. I'm just trying to be helpful, and do things in an interesting way that I haven't seen done before. Lists and tables are somebody else's game. I wanted to try out charts. Do you want to know why I think that I have voted for the lynch target every round? I think it's because people agree with me. The chart is just a tool to help people see what I think. They're smart enough to go through and look at my reasoning. It just so happens that my reasoning has been good enough that people tend to vote similarly to me. Unlike you, Riingar, I don't think it's a crime to agree with someone. If I see good logic, I will not feel wrong copying someone's vote for that exact reason, because why should I? The reason you are voting against me makes sense, until you realize that all my actions have been those of an altruistic rookie, trying to be helpful. Sometimes I am right, and sometimes I am wrong, but I won't throw out a vote for shenanigans, and I won't behave irrationally to confuse people. SO! I move that instead of lynching the people who are trying to be helpful, how about we lynch those who are trying to bring everyone down? Maybe someone who is acting like there is no hope, and that we should give up? A person whose logic has never made that much sense, despite being an experienced player? YOU GUESSED IT! You wanted propaganda? Here's some blasted propaganda. (Doesn't change the fact that I think it's true. But I would have been doing ridiculous things like these to catch more people's attention.) But yeah that's my vote. Jene Edit: color Edit: thank you Jeno and Hreo for saving my life. Until we manage to actually kill a mutineer, people will probably be accusing you because of it, so thank you.- 361 replies

Quick Fix Game 2: Crushthroat's Beginnings
Newan replied to Metacognition's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Riingar, you know Jain has always been very low on my list. I've been calling him out for being irrational this entire game. Do you now have a monopoly on wanting him dead? As I said, I vote to kill. I have said over and over again that I trust your logic. You shouldn't be surprised to see me voting because I agree with you. Do you want to see me say it? I am not a mutineer. If I was, I would have construed the charts, but they have been honest every step of the way. Jatae: Yeah, I guess trusting you doesn't really have that much solid evidence. It's just from the way you've talked and acted and voted, it just doesn't feel like the way a mutineer would be playing. Ok here are my thoughts. 1) Jain could be a non-gunner mutineer. The mutineers are trying to kill off the more experienced players, and they don't want to waste it on somebody with a buckler. Mai says that he has been repeatedly bidding for the buckler. So they would probably wait until a mutineer won the buckler before attacking Mai. If anyone used the buckler last cycle, please come forward and disprove this theory. 2) Experienced players are suspect. They have been killing off our experienced players. Those who haven't been killed could be mutineers. Jeno has been attacked, so I suspect him less. Mostly this just makes me suspect Jene and Hreo more, because I find Wyrm and Riingar too trustworthy. I'm voting for Jain right now, but if somebody says they had the buckler last cycle, I will change my vote. I would be just as happy to see Jene die as Jain. Fair warning: if it means Jene's death, I will lev my vote at the end of this cycle. Edit: color- 361 replies

If Adolin's knife just happened to be made of atium, I would expect this. However, the knife is probably either steel or iron, which means it could have stolen allomantic physical powers or human strength. Also, I am guessing that using hemalurgy off of Scadrial is a little bit more complex. Otherwise, people on other planets could have figured out iron, tin, zinc, and copper feruchemy long ago.

Quick Fix Game 2: Crushthroat's Beginnings
Newan replied to Metacognition's topic in Sanderson Elimination

Hi guys. Sorry I haven't been as active this cycle. I've been busy babysitting, plus my mind was completely blown when I found out Kal FangShi wasn't a mutineer. I'm not ready to post a chart. I need to reassess.

Mai: What voting thing is bothering you? I don't understand. I voted for Kal Fangshi over and over because I thought he was a mutineer. There was no possible way I could have known he wasn't. And I'm not one of those people who just votes for somebody who won't be lynched so I can get money and maybe make them talk more. I vote to kill. I have to live up to my title.

I'm now more inclined to think that Kal getting saved was just an accident, rather than something set up by the mutineers, but I could be wrong. I also don't think they would have done a wounded gazelle gambit, but again, I could be wrong.

I need to search through and reread a lot of posts before I vote.

Edit: I read through some. It appears I have overestimated Hreo's valiance. He has indeed been about some suspicious behavior. But at this point I think the most suspicious person is Matim. Purposefully voting erratically smells like you're trying to throw us off your trail. The other day Wyrm voted for me just to get me talking and you then jumped onto that vote for no reason. I wouldn't call your behavior sinister, but it does seem a little bit nefarious to me (no, I didn't make a new section on the chart).

Another edit: here's my new chart. I find myself trusting Jatae. He just hasn't been acting like he knows enough to be a mutineer. I can't find the heart to put Mai or Jeno very high on the list though. Mai still feels off to me. If Jene turns out to be bad, I'll trust Mai a lot more.

Edit: I have absolutely no idea what happened there.- 361 replies

Quick Fix Game 2: Crushthroat's Beginnings
Newan replied to Metacognition's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Riingar is radiant because his arguments are really great, and I think that every post he has written has given the loyal crew a better chance at finding the mutineers. I would bet Riitiidiikiiiir's life on the fact that Riingar is loyal. Hreo and Wyrm are valiant because they have both pointed out things that I wouldn't have noticed, they're arguments have added to the discussion, and they haven't done anything I see as suspicious. I would be surprised if they were mutineers. If anyone was decent, it would be because they were good, but had done a couple of things that I viewed as suspicious. I expect them to be loyal, but I don't plan on taking any risks trusting them, just in case. Those who are "Meh." have done things that are useful, but also things I view as slightly suspicious, and they kind of balance out. I wouldn't be surprised either way whether they turn out to be good or bad. Those who are untrustworthy have done multiple things that I view as suspicious, but I am completely sure whether they are evil or they just have a very different playing style. I expect them to be mutineers, but I won't spend time voting for them if there is someone else I view as sinister. Those who are sinister just seem totally evil, and I view everything they say as suspect. I try to get sinister people lynched. Edit: color- 361 replies

Quick Fix Game 2: Crushthroat's Beginnings
Newan replied to Metacognition's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I would like to think that the reason I have not been questioned is because my actions have all made sense. I have been voting for those who are most suspicious, early in the cycle. I have explained all my reasoning, and I have fairly shown to everyone who I trust and who I don't trust. You know I'm not bandwagoning, because I've generally been voting pretty early in the cycles. If people are tending to vote similarly to me, it's probably because I have explained all my reasoning and it looks like a good choice. I'm sure you know why I haven't put myself on the chart. If I am truly just putting how much I trust people, I would put myself at Radiant (obviously). But then instead of showing people my suspicions, the chart would just become propaganda to tell people over and over how good I am. I think the reason most people voted for Jene is that he voted for someone who didn't seem very suspicious, just because that person already had been voted for once. I think the reason most people voted for Kal the first time was that he had voted against someone for playing aggressively, and then went off the grid. I think the reason most people voted for Kal the second time was that he was saved at the last minute while he was inactive (hmm... it's almost like he has a team) and then all who had teamed up to save him said something to the effect of "Oh, it looked like I had absolutely no reason to vote for Wyrm after all. Sorry." The chart only reflects poorly on me if it is wrong. And so far, everyone I have trusted have turned out to be good, so I don't know why you guys are coming after me. Fact is, Kal FangShi still appears bad to me. Last cycle's bandwagon probably happened because the mutineers knew they couldn't stop it, but that it wouldn't be devastating because he was a gunner and wouldn't die. I wasn't going to post a Chart of Evilness this cycle because it hasn't changed that much, but now people are dissing the chart, and I can't let them win. Mai has gone down because his votes for Jene are looking less like logic and more like stubbornness. Jain is firmly on Untrustworthy because while he doesn't seem remotely sinister to me, I can't trust a word he says. Edit: Also, I didn't change Wyrm or Matim on the Chart because it's natural to question those you should trust when times get rough, and I don't trust them any less because of it. To both of you: I am sorry if I sound angry in this post. That isn't my meaning. I am slightly frantic, but you know that's to be expected. I logged on to find that, for no reason, people had seemingly given up trying to kill Fang, and you two were lynching me instead! Wyrm, I really don't see your reasoning behind it. The fact that people have voted similarly to me doesn't incriminate me. I'm trying my hardest to convince people to vote for those who I believe are mutineers. That doesn't make me bad. The coincidence that the two people who have been lynched both survived is really frustrating, but I had no way of knowing. Remember, Jene didn't even hint at the fact that he was a gunner before he was killed, and Fang only revealed that he was a gunner after I had voted and presented all my arguments.- 361 replies
