  1. I believe Trimat. He's playing much like Jain was. I don't think he's a darkfriend. We keep thinking inside the box, eliminating those on the fringes. I think we need to start looking for bad guys in the core group. It's all good and well that you guys seem to trust each other, but where's our proof?
  2. For mayor, I vote someone I know is not a darkfriend. Newan
  3. I want them to have lunch with Tam al'Thor and Atticus Finch
  4. Hey look at this picture of Bela I found:
  5. Kal Dell, your gut is a darkfriend. You should probably put the Dragon's Fang on your gut. edit:color
  6. I always imagined Tobias as Morgan Freeman. Too bad he would probably be too expensive to be in a TV show.
  7. If anybody is wondering, I voted to lynch Lam because I was about to go camping and I wasn't sure when the day would end. I wanted to get a vote in before I left, and I wanted it to be for one of the less active people. Lam, Jim Bob, I don't care. I do still want to hear Lam's explanation as to why he thought everyone should lynch me or Trimat on the first day.
  8. I'm going to vote to kill Lam because he suggested lynching me, then never explained why. The fact that he wasn't online during the night means he's either operating from a doc, or he's going inactive. edit: colors
  9. WoT: Weiramon. Tuon. Freaking Valan Luca
  10. So I was reading Brandon's old write-up for the Suvudu Cage Match fight between Kelsier and Moiraine (which is hilarious. Here's a link.) and I saw this part: (Emphasis mine) So I think that somehow, people will put Kelsier's consciousness into a hemalurgic spike, and then graft it onto a living person's soul. Does this seem possible/likely to you guys?
  11. When I was finishing Words of Radiance I was sitting alone in my dorm, screaming "NIGHTBLOOD! NIGHTBLOOOOOD!"
  12. I saw that there were threads like this for Mistborn and for Steelheart, and I remembered something being said about a Legion TV show, so I decided to make this thread. Here's a list of all the characters Stephen Leeds (main character) Aspects: Ivy Tobias C.J. Kalyani Armando Audrey Other Characters: Monica Wilson (the butler) Sandra (girl who left Legion ten years ago) Razon (inventor of the camera) Salic (the bad guy) Moshe (security guard) Grad student Now for some descriptions. I'll put these in spoiler tags so they don't take too much space. J.C. Tobias Ivy I'll add more when I get more time.
  13. Yeah wow a wounded gazelle gambit. That's, um, that's really something. I'm still new here, but I'm guessing that a wounded gazelle gambit is when darkfriends injure one of their own to gain him some village trust...? I suppose he could have been a darkfriend hit by a darkfriend, or a darkfriend hit by Fain's kill action, but I doubt it. He has been giving great advice to new players on how to beat the darkfriends, so I think the bad guys would just want to try to take him out of the game. Remember, he was all for discussion in the first round, but he didn't think we should actually go through with it and lynch. Now, concerning Bela and Grimlar: I don't think that wanting to lynch somebody on the first round makes you evil. Remember that in Game 3, Meta led the charge on a first round lynch that turned out to be one of the spiked. Gade seemed very suspicious when he tried to vilify the first person to make any kind of accusation, and while lynching him turned out to be a mistake, I'm not convinced it was done with ill intent. I really hope I'm not accidentally defending any darkfriends/fain right now. I personally think that most of the bad guys will be flying a little more under the radar. Like Senna, or Jain, or Erik. Edit: blue da ba dee, da ba die EDIT: PS that's not a complete list of people who I think are flying under the radar. I just quickly looked back at the day one, and wrote down a few names that I saw didn't really defend or accuse anyone.
  14. Way to crush my hopes and dreams, shiv
  15. Any channelers: please bond me as your warder. I'll be a good warder. I'll watch your back, I'll do what you say unless your life depends on it, and if you die I'll go kamikaze mode and everything. Pleaaaase. I just really want the cool color-changing cloak.
  16. Soulcast fire into a stick
  17. Wouldn't it be cool to have a map of the world, labeled with the names of cosmere places inspired by real world locations? For example, instead of labeling Hawaii, we label Hallendren. Instead of labeling Mexico, we label Herdaz. I know these aren't strict one-to-one analogies, but I do know they were at least partially inspired by them. We could even label landmarks, like the Salt Lake Temple and that one casino in Las Vegas that inspired keeps in Luthadel. The mists were inspired by a drive through Idaho. The Horneaters are partially based on Polynesians. Who thinks this would be cool? If enough people like the idea, maybe we could make this a small group effort.
  18. Alright, Dellan. That makes sense. We are seeking the same results, so we might as well not vote against each other. Panda, I think you misunderstood me. I don't have the ability to speed up the game. The part I am speeding up is the part where we all sit around, waiting for somebody to drop some evidence in our laps. There's no use tossing the dice if we don't shake them up first. Jae, I like that idea, but it's flawed. I had already changed my vote away from Maili before Maili or Dellan cast their votes. So the circular vote pattern (makes me think of a snake eating its tail) never actually happened at once. Lam, I want to see your theory that incriminates me along with the manure salesman. If it's really just a gut feeling, I guess that's ok. It's not like we have much more than that to go on at this point. But if you actually have a theory behind it, you should tell us. Edit: light blasted colors!
  19. Gade it's all good. I believe you. Changing my vote now to the next suspicion I can summon. *gasp* someone wants to kill my character because he's not from here? That's racist! But using RP to determine your vote just seems like a tricky way to do it without explaining your logic. So, Dellan, explain to me the real reason you are voting to kill me. Is it because I am an instigator? Because if I was a darkfriend, I would probably wait and see if people piled onto my vote. And yes, I know that this means there are two votes on Dellan now. Don't worry. I'm good at changing my vote. PS. Yep, Panda, that's the goal. Edit: colors, again.
  20. Newan was a little bit confused. He had tried to get a discussion going about who could be responsibility for the murder, and someone was already spreading rumors that he was starting a witch hunt. "I can assure you all," he shouted above the hubbub, "I said nothing of the sort. In fact, this Gade fellow seems to be contradicting himself already." Gade said this: "But that kind of reasoning is not going to cut it. Until someone presents some substantial evidence, I demand that we not kill anyone." Then he said this: "The more discussion we have, the better. And once we have enough information, then we can go about deciding who to lynch." Isn't that what I was doing? I was starting a discussion. It's not like I can't change my vote. In fact, I probably wouldn't have written Malai's name in red, but I thought this would get more of a response. And it certainly did. Gade I am voting for you because you contradicted my argument without a good reason! Light. I hope this doesn't seem petty. Let me explain my reasoning. Gade said he was trying to prevent a pileup before more evidence was presented. I quote "I'm simply trying to state that it is not a particularly good idea to join in with other peoples' votes in this game, just because they were the first to vote or have a seemingly-sound argument." He then continued to say that more discussion was better. His post immediately following mine was in direct violation of that logic. There was no pileup. There was simply one piece of sound logic, with a vote to get people responding. By vilifying my character, it appeared that you were undermining that discussion, rather than encouraging counterarguments. I am also very interested to see Lam's reasoning behind voting for Trimat. The instigator always gets accused, but Trimat hasn't done anything. PS I vote for Waes as mayor because he also wants to get discussion rolling. Sorry for long post. Edit: colors
  21. Time to get some accusations flying... Malai! You were the first to vote for someone else to be mayor. At this point, only the darkfriends know who their teammates are. If you can only trust yourself, why would you vote for someone else? edit: color
  22. Nooooo let's get this show on the road! Our whole lives have led up to this.
  23. I had an idea that could be applied to pretty much any game. I really like how some of the games are now including the rule, "If you go inactive for too long, you die." The thing I worry about is, what if their role was really important? That's why going inactive is so bad. It hurts your team. And killing inactives still hurts the team just as much. So here's what I propose: When someone goes inactive for too long, they die and their power is given to one of their vanilla teammates. The GM announces that they died, and that their power has been passed to someone who had no power, but he does not announce what that power is, or who it went to.
