  1. Actualy my "Truthwatchers ain't real" jokes are based on my theory that Hoid is some sort of artificial human made of investiture. About their seeming intent, I wouldn't put much credit into the "truth" part, as we know how it turned out with the "truthspren". Still, if itbis possible to use illumination to become invisible and inaudible I'd guess that the truthwatchers have it easier than the lightweavers, sincevthey are so secretive...
  2. Sorry, but do we have any exemple of how truthwatchers use illumination? Their prescience is most likely a tertiary benefit of their bond, like the lightweavers mnemonic abilities. Maybe the truthwatchers use Illumination to go unnoticed while they write on walls Maybe the Truthwatchers are allucinations that lightweave themselves into existence...
  3. Now this is interesting. Maybe we Truthwatchers are just allucinations...
  4. Aimia was already absolutely screwed, remember?
  5. Do you have any evidence that Nightblood was knowingly created as a replication of Rosharan sprenblades instead of just being a similar thing created by a different method?
  6. They were talking about Dalinar beating the Highprinces into submission.
  7. He didn't surgebind himself, he used a fabrial. It is like an ardent using a soulcaster, it can be considered surgebinding but the ardent isn't a surgebinder.
  8. It is just a general assumption that all honourades were equaly ornamented or assuming that Kalak was talking about all honorblades, since it was an ambiguous passage.
  9. Actualy, Brandon just changed the phrasing from "fabrial" to "surgebinding", but he still put a fabrial in his pocket after healing Szeth. Same power, different ways of using it.
  10. Keep giving it Breath, keep making it move, till there are only drabs left... EDIT: But, to be fair, this thread IS about matters that are still relevant.
  11. Without a hint of a foreign accent perhaps? After all, accents are subjetive, and speaking a language perfectly includes pronouncing it like a native speaker.
  12. Shallan also said he didn't have an accent, so maybe it is just subtle enough that a foreign speaker won't notice.
  13. I assume that the parshmen can be forced to transform because their current state is the lack of a form and a spren. Parshendi in other forms should be able to resist.
  14. Well, Rock does say the horneater oceans and their waters if life are involved, so it is most likely both.
  15. Parshendi are more sensitive to spren than humans, and can see things like angerspren and exaustionspren coming from far away instead of fading into existence when attracted.
  16. Thinking again, TLR is too dour for Hallendren and his outfit would look ridiculous in the presence of Susebron. Sorry, but I will have to change my vote to Adolin. Plus, he is the only one who doens't deserve to die(and depending on which chasmfiend Bob is, the only one still alive)
  17. It is in the TFE annotations.
  18. The parshendi Nightforms foresaw a future when Odium is possibly defeated by a champion and aren't portrayed as as evil as the others, while Truthwatchers are misterious and reclusive and Syl dislikes foretelling. For me it indicates that for some reason those who see the future are outside a shard's control. Maybe the truthwatchers are an order with no oaths? Shallan also seems to have some form of clarividence by drawing the sailors and Shallash.
  19. WoR Bridge Four. I have light-ish eyes, but it still seems safer, and they did eventualy accept Renarin. Would you rather be a fugitive feruchemist chased by the steel inquisition or a lone warform parshendi lost in post-WoR Alethkar?
  20. Shallan's necklace was made of aluminium, and it was very expensive. It is stated that it could only be obtained by soulcasting.
  21. Well, I will try to adress all your points: 1. What are half-shards: Realy hard metal. Steel reinforced by a fabrial that makes it more durable, to be exact. It can block shardblades not (only?) because of how hard it is, but because it is invested, and magic interferes with magic. 2.Fabrials: You got it wrong. Modern fabrials don't imitate surges, the ancient fabrials like soulcasters did it, but the secret of their creation was lost, and possibly worked under different principles. Modern fabrials work by feeding stormlight to a trapped lesser spren to enhace or diminish the attribute linked to that spren, like heat or pain or hardness, or to link it to another gemstone, like spanreds. EDIT: ninja-ed!
  22. THIS! Finaly a "duel" thread that makes sense. Is emotional allomancy allowed? If then, TLR wins. Else, it gets harder. He lacks the colorfulness that Hallandren likes, but his black and white clothing would suffer interesting changes in Susebron's presence, and he could teach the Returned a thing or two about looking properly divine.
