Welcome to the forums! I hope that we'll see some of your magic systems in the Creator's Corner. I'm not as good at making up magic systems as expanding on how they can be used, but I really like them all the same. Stick around, and you'll surely get more upvotes...

I know that I associate colors with certain numbers. While I do think of multi-digit numbers as having colors, the basis for all of it is firmly established in the colors for the ten digits. I have asked a lot of people whether they do the same. So far, I have only met one or two people who do this as strongly as I do. However, I want to see what all of you will say. I will present the colors that I associate with numbers below in white text, but I want you to make up your mind first about what colors you think the numbers are before you look at mine, maybe even write them down. My colors are below: 0 - clear/black 1 - white 2 - blue 3 - yellowish green 4 - red 5 - orange 6 - dark teal 7 - dark brown 8 - very dark purple, almost black 9 - black If you don't understand what I'm talking about, Wikipedia has a good article on it here. This Numberphile video (and this one) does a nicer, less scientific job of explaining the experience of synesthesia. I have also heard of people assigning personalities and genders to numbers, so comment away!

Just got around to reading this. Note that Patji's fingers only grow on... Patji. The emerald lake is there, which most likely means that there is a large source of Investiture,since we've never seen colored pools/lakes in the Cosmere without something Adonalsium going on, for those of you who doubt that it's a Splinterpool. (I wonder if Splinters can create...) Patji's fingers are definitely Invested to a higher degree than other plants. How the nightmaws and everything else got the mental "sight" power... that's going to bug me. (They ate the worms at one point? Eating the Aviars over several generations gave them that power? Maybe a few gained it, and when they died other scavengers ate them, giving them the power? The world may never know...) I also think that the Aviars' Spiritwebs are like those of Mistings. Each species has a distinct way of "interpreting" the investiture of the worm/fruit/tree/pool. (And truth be told, I think that Vathi's handheld machine sounds so much like a mechanical Allomantic bronze machine.) And it would be interesting to see how these worms would affect humans given that theory.

I'm pretty sure that only Bendalloy would give you more time. Cadmium slows down your time so that what seems like five minutes to you is actually the entire length of your test.

I remember Brandon saying somewhere* that something that inspired him when he made the Knights Radiant was that a knight has three things: A sword, armor, and a steed. Those were almost his exact words. Edit: Oh yeah, the point of this was that the Ryshadium are probably special to the Knights Radiant and specifically bonded to each individual. What would be really cool is if horses were just a special case of this and we got to see some KR riding Chasmfiends into battle as their mounts!

Selish powers seem to be limited by location, so I would highly doubt that Hoid would be able to use them. If he was able to collect a little bit of local Investiture, then... Who knows?

Probably because there is so much going on (in a very much Invested world) that the Parshendi have to choose what to listen to. In Scadrial, Allomantic bronze can hear Allomancy, but there aren't any spren or splinters (sometimes the same thing, but I'm differentiating between the small spren and bonding spren). We also have WoB that Seekers could find Feruchemy if they looked for it*. I'm guessing that they might be able to find a Hemalurgic spike if they wanted to. But that is really all that there is on Scadrial. On Roshar, you have spren galore, and even some splinters hanging around. Goodness sakes, there's the Stormfather and the Nightwatcher, and maybe even the Unmade! That's so much Investiture that you can't listen to all of it thrumming at once, especially with the conflicting Intents of all of them.

Sell. Hemalurgy will fade in popularity when White Sand comes out and an awesome new magic system is introduced. Cookies will not be sold in dark alleys anymore... Just use Atium. Or an alloy of Bavadinium and cookies would work too.
