Elantris is not the easiest book to start. It took me three or four times before I finally cranked down and chugged through it. I didn't even really enjoy it for the first 180 pages, but I was determined and finally got through it and really enjoyed it once I finished.

My library just got the Pandora Hearts manga, so I'm working through that. Characters look very generic, but they're actually interesting enough to carry the story.

What the?....... Its the scene with Mu Shu giving tha guy fake orders. It's right after the King of the Rock scene. Which is right after the "be a man" song. How come the guys remember this

Eh, theres some minor character development for Kvothe, but really nothing important. I'd skip it if I reread the book. The you'll notice when the section starts and I believe it ends at the end of a chapter so just skim read whatever you want. There's some stuff later on, but its not as graphic and can be skimmed very easily.

What would it take for Harmony to intervene directly?

I would agree with Jaxx. Harmony can intervene very well using puppets like Wax and the Kandra without having to go all Shardic on people. -
Heal people I think that one would create some very interesting stories. Like a sword that's supposed to Heal people, not just kill them. And would it just be physically healing them, or also helping with mental/spiritual stuff as well.

Raymond E Feists', RA Salvatore' Hmmm, yeah, don't know how much I agree with that. What I've read of Feist isn't any worse than Warbreaker, and a few are more like the rest of Brandons. Salvatore.... Well, the first two (three? can't remember) trilogies aren't too bad. After that though things start getting pretty dark and gritty.

Fantasy..... Hmmmmm, I agree with your specifications but have a hard time actually finding those. Ermmmmm, Memory, Sorrow, and Thorn is pretty clean I think, its been a little while since I've read them. The Imager series and Corean cycles are both good and follow the specs to the letter pretty much. Oh, and Shannara. I don't like the books, but they're clean that's for sure.

Well it appears that my silent little accusation helped stir up some activity, I'll be retracting Alden. Lifeguard training is eating up more of my time/energy than I thought it would, so I'll try and keep up with everything but I probably won't be able to participate very actively at all.

Well all the side plots in book two that just keeeept going. The fact that we still don't know much about the Chandrian, the continual foreshadowing about the one Lord at the school that's supposed to get Kvothe kicked out.

My pardon, M'queen and David. I've been rather busy. I was supposed to introduce you two, but it seems that David took it upon himself, and did a rather fine job. Always nice to have a new face in the factions, especially after our round of traitors a couple of weeks ago.
