  1. The goal of all the Orders is the survival of humanity in the face of Desolation. The Windrunners' goal is to lead and to protect their men. Others can do the non-protective killing, but the Windrunners keep their men alive to keep fighting.
  2. Szeth keeps Gravity, he just loses Adhesion.
  3. When you start reciting the Vorin names of the Heralds (that you can remember) under your breath to stave off boredom.
  4. I didn't like him at all, and then it turned out he actually realizes his flaws and wishes to get rid of them. I suspect, though, that he'll end up in a non-leadership role overall, where he's better suited.
  5. I agree that the entire point of the Skybreakers is to keep order, so making laws would be a good use of their time.
  6. Hoed dislike Cosmere puns? They're so In(vesti)turetaining!
  7. I admit it, I thought this was about the Revv toparchy epigraph.
  8. You want the Stone Shamans. Next door on the right.
  9. I mean, I agree with you, but we still need more information. From sources other than Vorin Mythology.
  10. Shardblades can be stopped by sufficiently strong materials, such as half-shards. Whether or not Steelheart qualifies would certainly be an interesting question. However, if he was harmed it would certainly hurt him. Shardblades sever the soul. Nothing can prevent that.
  11. Better Command: "Be evil". Then return Nightblood to Nalthis and watch what happens.
  12. My point is that Vorin mythology isn't a very reliable source. Thinking that a vastly changed Tranquiline Halls is two different places is well within the scope of their mistakes.
  13. Moash is generally a hateful person, feels isolated from Bridge Four, and is about to be betrayed by Graves. I feel like the betrayal will just make him hate Taravangian too, instead of becoming honorable. He doesn't think he can go back to Kaladin at this point, so it's unlikely that he'll turn to honor.
  14. The chapter is called "True Glory", so I think that's as close to confirmation as we're going to get on anything.
  15. It seems to me like the champions will be Kaladin and Moash. Moash is in such a perfect position to become Odium's champion, and none of the other characters look like they would work as Honor's champion.
  16. If the Plains were shattered by a Herald as opposed to some force of Odium, I would expect it to be one of the Heralds with Division. Maybe Nalan, because Division and Gravitation, but maybe whoever the next Herald on the list is.
  17. He tries to do good, and realizes his flaws. That means he's going to get some character growth.
  18. The Stormlight... well, I can't think of a good explanation right now, but it seems explainable. Maybe the Stormlight keeps the Plate's spren "awake" to use the power. The spren aren't dead because they were never fully alive, and the glow had to do with the partial bond between the wearer/the wearer's spren and the spren of the Plate.
  19. Violet is actually the hue that comes after blue on the spectrum. Red comes several steps before blue.
  20. The Plate in the prologue was also not being worn when Szeth drained it. Most of its magical powers would not have been in evidence at the time.
  21. It should also be noted that the Radiants were intended entirely to prevent the utter annihilation of humanity. It was the ultimate, all out, total war. Some flaws in their morality are rather irrelevant in the face of the survival of humanity itself. All that matters is survival. That consideration also contextualizes some of their flaws - when humanity must be united against that sort of foe, keeping order is essential. Thus the Skybreakers. In those circumstances, morality can pretty much be defined as "does this help us against the Voidbringers?", so the Windrunners don't have to personally decide morality. The Bondsmiths are, of course, doing the uniting. The Edgedancers focus on the little things, keeping the grit from getting stuck in the gears. Quite possibly they are also keeping the knowledge of the past alive, thereby allowing humanity to advance between Desolations. If we're right about the Dustbringers, they would probably have been the main warriors, doing what had to be done.
  22. Really? I thought he had specifically said they were. Let me check the WoB thread. Edit: Okay, I forgot the word "not". My original point holds true, though.
  23. I doubt crem would be able to make up for the damage caused by the first impact of a highstorm.
