  1. I think a cute girl attracting that kind of attention from several male Epics would be far more horrifying than the League of Evil Exes.
  2. Something rotten is in the libraries, Horatio TwiLyght. We'll be eagerly waiting for your continued findings. ...Annoying brits? I'm beginning to think I should actually read the Alcatraz books at some point.
  3. The entire fight between Lightwards, Funtimes, and Nighthound was a result of their players getting bored waiting for the next game day to come, so you're definitely following in a grand tradition. Stitch is equal parts a dork and a Creepy McCreeperton, by the way.
  4. This looks awesome! I love the central concept of gods whose survival depends on their worshippers. There are a wealth of fascinating scenarios that could come from this, ranging from subtle divine intervention to miracles to outright deicide. Just a quick question on my part. You mentioned on the first page that playing as non-human creatures might be allowed. If this winds up being the case, what kind of creatures might I have the option of choosing from? Wolves or tigers? Dolphins, perhaps? A race of intelligent microraptors worshiping The Feathered Goddess?
  5. You'd need to talk to Twi about all this, but I don't think he'd be overpowered at all. In both Portland and The Dalles we have characters who are far more powerful than he is. One of The Only Joe's characters can kill with a stare and is impervious to all harm, and there are several characters in the RP who can resurrect entirely after a death. So no, it's my opinion as a longterm member of the roleplay and as a non-GM that he's perfectly fine the way he is right now. I'm looking forward to seeing him in action. Have you expanded any backstory for his character yet? Also, I'd definitely recommend skimming through the Epics of Oregon thread. It should give you a general idea of what kind of powers your fellow players have been lavishing their characters with.
  6. Granted. The rats do not survive their transformation, and your landlord thinks you are a psychopath who collects dead rats. I wish for a high-quality Steelheart movie to be produced.
  7. You were trying to murder Sam with a dose of concentrated irony? I have ongoing conspiracies with at least three separate people at the moment. Probably more that I'm not remembering at the moment.
  8. ...So, there's a Hellmouth under Portland? Everything makes so much sense now. That's right, everyone. Sam's actually the one who jumped out of a plane to assassinate Redleaf. She told Prof to take credit for it to protect her anonymity.
  9. Steelheart Nightwielder Firefight Fortuity Curveball Refractionary Regalia Obliteration Newton Mitosis Extra credit: Doctor Funtimes Altermind CorpseMaker Lightwards Timeport Paladin Lucentia Nighthound Red Backtrack Name seven undead creatures from folklore or fiction.
  10. I'm pretty sure that if that last mission is part of the plan, then Timeport was not informed of it. The irony of one of the most vicious Epics in the RP being killed by a teenage girl is breathtaking, to say the least. Sam might die laughing.
  11. Angel Bunny? The irony there is pretty cool. Though I keep wondering... when will we find out what Timeport's "divine mission" is?
  12. I am an admitted ignoramus when it comes to the movie industry, so a question to those who know more than me: how excited should we be about this? Does this mean a studio's committed to making a Reckoners movie, or have they merely purchased the option?
  13. Same, but I'll definitely be looking into it. Mailliw and I when we scheme on PMs: Everybody else:
  14. To be fair to Sam, she's usually not as bold when she doesn't have Epic protection. Her snark was limited to graffiti making fun of Headshot and a series of faux campaign posters anonymously hung up around town, asking people to vote for "Butterfingers" Quickslide.
  15. Sam plays life on Hard Mode. She won't rest until every superpowered slontze in the Fractured States personally wants her head.
  16. That would be me, I believe. Sam's going to be working very hard in the next post to make Altermind want to murder her.
  17. Middle-Earth Roshar Scadrial Nalthis Sel Thra Midkemia Kelewan Name six dangerous fictional animals.
  18. Black Widow Batgirl Wonder Woman Starfire Raven Jean Grey Jubilee Kitty Pryde Storm Ms. Marvel Name seven alien races in fiction.
  19. Now I'm imagining a forum RP hosted by Brandon Sanderson. I wouldn't even care if he railroaded the players, I'd sign up in a heartbeat. Yep, you've still got her down pat. I want to leave her stranded on an ice floe in the middle of the Arctic ocean, same as always.
  20. And to think; with more ponies, Tamriel might have been saved. Using an RP to flesh out a setting seems to be working brilliantly for Seonid, so I bet it'll help Mrs. Voidus out a lot as well. For that matter just reading the questions people ask Seonid has helped me with my setting to a more limited extent.
  21. I wouldn't mind. It'd irritate Lightwards, but the pair of them bickering after the meeting's over will be entertaining enough on its own merit.
  22. Lightwards isn't into Harry Potter, but if he just had to see it, he'd have his raptors start slowly dismembering theatergoers until all the seats were vacated. He'd then use his newly resurrected Warriors to fetch him constant supplies of popcorn and Raisinets from the lobby. Chicago Joe would grumble in discontentment before settling outside with a bottle of whiskey. Aldo would pull out a tiny chainsaw and engorge it to an almost comically large size and start slicing through theatergoers until everyone had evacuated. Glamour would pirate the movie's soundtrack online and pretend to have seen it, playing the music around other people to taunt them for not being able to catch the movie. Backtrack would just catch an earlier showing in an empty theater. He'd invite MV to come see it with him, largely because she'd be compelled to hold his hand the entire time if she wanted to see the film. Count me interested. What kind of magical abilities do the gods grant? Cool. Sam's my main focus right now, but I'll try to get a Backtrack post up soon. And congratulations on your internship with the secret rulers of the world.
  23. I've seen it! I copy-and-pasted the (in?)famous Cocoa Puffs stories from the second Question thread, just so they'll be easy to find. Is that alright?
