Supervillain name. Though the pony name I generated, "Onyx Justice," seems oddly fitting for an Epic. I can see it just fine. Two red dice covered in 6's. You cheater.

There is no more worthy cause than to bring a sonic rainboom to Oregon. Just make sure it causes extensive property damage, considering what our campaign goal is.

Nightwatcher Boon/Bane (Game)

Granted. You will develop a complete and debilitating fear of all light sources, which will drive you to live your life in pitch darkness. You will take up residence in a deep subterranean cavern, eating strange fungi and luminescent cave fish for sustenance. Over the years, your skin and hair will be bleached white as snow from your environment; your eyes will atrophy into nothingness, and your hands and feet will develop strange suckers allowing you to scale cave walls like a gecko. On the bright side, your senses of smell, taste, and hearing will be almost exponentially increased. I wish for a box of chocolates. -
I wouldn't mind that. It's telling that Autumn began her quest for the prettiest harem in Oregon with Backtrack's glasses rather than the man himself. Personally, I feel that there's been absolutely no indication that Funtimes was aware Nathan didn't want to date her. When she announced that he was officially her boyfriend, she even took a moment to softly ask "Is that okay?"; she seemed genuinely concerned that he might not like her. If she knew precisely how he felt already, her concern would be rather inexplicable, as like Fortuity or Super Hotman, she just wouldn't care. That's my opinion. It's unclear what she would have done if Nathan had told her the truth, but it does seem pretty clear to me that the thought of him only dating her out of fear hasn't occurred to her.

Again, awesome. I think such a race could add some neat diversity to the game. Would you mind if I did a bit of research on microraptorine dinosaurs, came up with a bit of basic worldbuilding for their physical and psychological details, and then brought them to you for review?

Really? Cool! How exactly could a race of microraptors work? Would they function as animals under a generic animal god, or could they be a full Tribe with their own god or goddess? Could they use magic?

His power is twofold; he can examine the history of the area around him, and he can get a rough and visceral sense of where a people have been through their lives by looking at them. Using the first ability he can also see what thoughts were going through a person's head at a specific point in history. But he couldn't just look at Steelheart and instantly divine his whole past. To find out who he was before he was an Epic, he'd first have to get a good look at him, and then he'd have to physically travel to the places Steelheart had been earlier in his life.

I'm having fun imagining an AU where Backtrack was a vanilla kidnapped by Doctor Funtimes instead of an Epic. While Sam and Revolution openly mocked Lightwards' hat and Remington laughed, Steve Lawrence would be cowering behind a tree with a mortified expression. In Backtrack's defense, the world in general doesn't realize that weaknesses come from an Epic's past. Backtrack might be able to stumble across a High Epic's weakness, but he'd have to be in exactly the right place and be looking at exactly the right time. And knowing Backtrack, he'd probably "deduce" the wrong weakness and end up pelting Steelheart with fistfuls of crumpled dollar bills.

Big Firefight spoilers: The really sad thing is that he's never even thought of that. What Happened in Britain: in which Nathan and Backtrack journey to the United Kingdom in the hope of uncovering forgotten lore... and by forgotten lore, they of course mean "lost episodes of Doctor Who."

It would have made his confrontation with the Reckoners a little stranger. "I'll get you my pretty, and your little Mizzy too!"

Not sure if you're referring to his glasses or the fact that MV will dump him as soon as she realizes he's not getting them back. Either way, Backtrack is one said and pathetic pegasus.

I'd read it. I could illustrate it with ponies, even.

"That's the most terrible thing I've ever heard." "Oh, you don't know the half of it! There's another Epic named Nighthound who has two women following him. One of them is his unwilling prisoner who's forced to wear a dog collar all the time, and the other's a blood-controlling Epic who lets Nighthound drink out of her jugular vein." "That's disgusting." "I know, it's awesome! Wanna go out for coffee, you and me?" "I think I'll pass." (The irony of Quota preventing me from voting posts right now is staggering, once again. ) I know! She'll be sorry if she creates an account here and I refuse to add her to my friend's list.

Ooh, that's a pretty solid idea. (I'm pretty sure I was actually the first person to upvote that poem. I haven't said anything on the thread because I have nothing to say to add to its perfection. ) Ooh, maybe I could use an upvote metaphor with the ladies? "Miss, if your face was a post on the 17th Shard, I'd upvote it in a heartbeat. Unless I'd hit my quota for the day, in which case I'd come back to upvote it later." "How many girl's faces do you 'upvote' every day?" "Just yours! This is a hypothetical upvote quota that allows only one vote per day, you see." "This is the first time you've logged off that forum in months, isn't it?" "...maybe?"

Not by walking up to a pretty girl in a store and saying "Hey baby, I'm the highest ranked member of the 17th Shard by number of upvotes." I can tell you that.

Anyone whose name sounds good with "Revolution" when added to a portmanteau. Which is to say, the whole world sans Nighthound. Nothing goes over Voidgaze's head. Her reflexes are too fast, and she will catch it.

Please. Clearly Revolution is the one who needs a harem. (Note: Revolution, not Sunburst. Just so we're clear, Revolution, not Sunburst. Are we clear? Okay then, we can carry on.) I can post for Backtrack after they teleport away. It would be like him to stare in silence at the pair of them before bursting into tears when they disappear. ...How did I not notice this? I wish I could upvote the post again for this reference alone.

Again, sorry if I sounded harsh or admonishing in any respect. While the probability of such a thing happening is greater than zero, as you said, it's certainly not guaranteed to happen. So while it's a possibility you could explore if you wanted to, it'd be perfectly plausible if she was left alone but Super Hotman and his ilk. (And I'm still chuckling over that name, by the way. ) And yeah, her being a teenager at the time would make the whole thing even more squicky. While it'd definitely your decision and I'm sure however you wrote it would be awesome, it'd definitely be an even darker turn to her backstory than what's already present. It'd be like having Sam or Angel Zoe Finch get captured and incorporated into an Epic's harem. Moving away from the depressing stuff, here are my projections for What Happened in Portland page 50:

I think it'd be a pretty terrible situation for a young woman to be in, unless she earnestly desired to date an Epic. (And even then some Unfortunate Implications can crop up.) I mean... when Hercules suggested that Funtimes wear a chainmail bikini, she could just put him in one and teleport away giggling. If Pre-Calamity Funtimes had been faced with a similar suggestion by a powerful Epic who could kill her in a second... well, it gets into some pretty squicky, skaa-noblemen territory pretty quickly. Not really arguing against it, since I know there is some darkness in Funtimes' backstory, but I'm just saying the thought has some pretty horrifying implications. Algaze is different since it's a wholly consensual relationship and Voidgaze actually has a moral code. Vondra would never allow the Autumn/Shiny Sparkle relationship to get out of hand. I guess what I'm saying is, it's not a detail to be considered lightly. And if this was all a joke that I wasn't getting than I apologize for taking it so seriously.
