    I guess I'll be the first second. Kukri walked into the base and saw the crowd gathering around the hooked crewleader. Oh joy. Some of the crowd turned, eyeing his knives suspiciously. "First of all, they were an inheritance from my cousin down south. I don't even like knives that much." This last was a lie. "Second, their knives, not hooks." --- Okay, so why I shouldn't be randomly killed: Though I fell for barbug's evil manipulations last time, I think it fair to say that I'm a fairly clear thinker and would be useful in discussions going forward.

I'll cede that when you get the level of highly-Invested objects the difference in degree may essentially yield a difference in kind so far as affecting it with Soulcasting goes, so let's call this particular discussion a draw and it turns out that your warhead survives the soulcasting because a gem shatters.] But no! The gems it relied upon to shape the stormlight shattered, resulting in only the outermost part of the nuke becoming flowery! "Evasive action!" The Vindicator fled into Shadesmar, only to have the warhead follow. Desperate, Kurkistan of Borg dropped them back into the Physical Realm and deployed a "gravity bomb" (read: chunk of mechallomancy filled with Feruchemical Weight) while dropping his ship's mass to nothing. The warhead was consumed by the ensuing singularity while the nearly-massless Vindicator escaped unharmed. "Now I'm irritated." The Vindicator prepared to deploy its own boarders.

    Bad luck that. The safehand is always the left hand. (I can't recall the exact WoB at the moment, but trust me on this one).

    It was actually the "would aliens be drabs?" and "can non-Nalthians Awaken?" questions. The consensus was generally heading towards your answers, I think. We haven't had a big scuffle over the "are aliens drabs?" question for at least a few months, but the question of whether/how Hoid could Awaken has been big relatively recently. The question of aliens Returning has not been contentious, to my knowledge. Personally I would have thought that they couldn't due to the fact that drabs couldn't return, which strongly implied that the Breath was how Endowment "tracked" people, but that could just be me retroactively adjusting what I "would have" thought in such a way that past-me just so happens to be right.

    [i imagine that X Investiture from Endowment is just as powerful as X Investiture from Honor: so it's more that Nightblood is obscenely powerful than that Endowment is. But on the note of perhaps needing a bit more juice to get the job done...] The Vindicator drew upon its massive Investiture reserves—stored in nicrosilminds and carefully engineered to be able to fuel nearly all magics—and smote the nuke, draining a not-insignificant amount of "stormlight" in the process.

    "Ha! Those Scadrian fools have such a poor grasp of Realmatics that they think Awakened objects are immune to Soulcasting, in direct opposition to the known fact that Invested objects (such as humans) can be soulcast!" [so yeah: The space battle hinges on Realmatics. ]

    "Sir, they're sending boarders!" Kurkistan of Borg looked up from where he'd been keying in the evasion-routine his Feruchemical zinc compounding had allowed him to compute. "Seriously? They're boarding us?" He sat for a moment, stunned. "Are there any custodial crew near the site of the incursion?" "Yes sir, two within a few hatches." "Well give them a bonus for pulling double duty when they mop up the mess they're about to make of those boarders." [The ship is full of Catquisitors, in case you'd forgotten. ]

    "Let's see, which of the powers that I've acquired over the centuries ought I to use..." Kurkistan of Borg pondered carefully within his ship's speed bubble, but eventually settled on using Aonic teleportation to position himself directly astern of the enemy ship, letting its weapons-fire pass harmlessly through empty space.

    Thanks. I'm currently leaving the "minor edit" box unchecked when I tensify articles, though I'm not sure if I should be. Changing tense is a bigger deal than correcting a bit of spelling, but it's not necessarily worth calling "major". What's the protocol on this?

    Would it be too big a hassle for the mods to set up a sub-forum like the Inactive RP's have? I'm very very afraid of another 20-page behemoth.

    Suggestion: Perhaps we should "spread out" a bit for this game? Perhaps have a separate thread for each day/night? The last thread got a bit unmanageable in its size.
