@Paperclip 1) Yeah... you're right. We're referring to trueselves. 2) I don't quite think complete Identity-erasure is necessary: or at least that if it is, I think that Feruchemical aluminum actually can do it, given what we know. Recall that it seems that Augor's needn't be Feruchemists in order to tap such metalminds, so it seems that "identity as a feruchemist" isn't required. That, coupled with the fact that spike-having Inquisitors can tap their donors' metalminds, suggests "muggles can tap" to me.

World hopping , sDNA and babies...

@Shardlet That's about it, no speculation required at this point. I guess you missed my post. -

Theory: Shardblades Barely Harm Infused Surgebinders
Kurkistan replied to Moogle's topic in Stormlight Archive
I doubt it. Szeth seems both highly knowledgable about and highly wary of Shardblade wounds. He knows enough to know that Infused Stormlight won't heal Shardblade wounds, so it seems that he ought to know if Infusing stops the wounds in the first place. -
I'd probably err towards the style of 1/2, not so much 3.

"Sir! The cowards are retreating!" "Cowards indeed." Kurkistan to Borg held up his hand to halt the boarding party. "Let them run. They may well lead us to their base, or worlds with more and more interesting powers..." A single Catquisitor specializing in camouflage and infiltration a was deployed to a section of the enemy ship that Life Sensors reported as empty.

I was going to post because (so far as I know) I'm the ur-example of "the laws of physics are Spiritually based!", but I don't know any real physics of note, so I'll just sit quietly in the corner here.

Should I buy the hard cover or ebook of WoR?

Sorry, we have WoB that Hoid is not the Doctor. -
Well if you be sure to ask all of the questions I give you, then you'll get maximum profit for sure...

Atomic Theory and The Structure of the Cosmere
Kurkistan replied to TheShogun's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Phantom and I had a brief discussion on the plausibility of the laws of physics being Spiritually based, if anyone cares to take a look. -
Okay, some general common-sense directives to make sure everything goes smoothly: -Smoker: Don't Smoke anyone; but please don't smoke Peng. Please. -Seeker: Seek Peng. -Lurcher: Lurch Peng -Coinshot: Don't Coinshoot Peng -Peng (if he's telling the truth): Tell some smallish set of people, at the very least, who you intend to Coinshoot. If everyone plays along, we'll have this settled by the time the night is out. And I must reiterate my earlier directive: No one vouch for or use their powers on the directions of Peng. Seeker Seek Peng and Lurcher Lurch Peng , obviously, but if you're anything else and he asks you to do something for him—like Coinshoot X or Smoke Peng, for example—do not do it. In fact, immediately post here on the board and tell us that he asked you that, since that means he's almost certainly an Inquisitor. (Or you are, but at least it'll be one of the two ).

Should I buy the hard cover or ebook of WoR?
Kurkistan replied to eveorjoy's topic in Stormlight Archive
I think the artwork takes the cake here. The endpapers look to be gorgeous and there's nothing like seeing the drawings and whatnot on the page in the book in their full glory. I like quote-searching as much as the next Sharder, but I opted for the hardcover for this reason (and just because I like dead-tree books). -

Good point. We can't be sure that it's not a case of interfering Investiture, though I don't think so myself. OH NO I CAN'T LET KURK GET RENARIN'S SHARDPLATE, REN BBY I'M SO SORRY I WASN'T THINKING. Too late... (Though, honestly, the chances of Feather not following through on her end of the vow are too small to be counted).

I'm new here and I don't know how to forum.
Kurkistan replied to Dat Doge's topic in Introduce Yourself!
So far as WoA plot twists go: -I don't think Brandon was really going for any culmination when Vin proposes that the mist is the Deepness. The fact that Sazed immediately mentions the half-dozen theories that have said the same suggest that, I think. -I think you may have misunderstood how the alteration of records work. This isn't spoilers because it was meant to be somewhat clear in the book itself (though your lack of understanding of this point may very well be the book's fault), but things written on metal and only metal are immune to tampering by Ruin. So Kwaan's tablet was never altered: just Sazed's rubbing of it. Spoiler on HoA- 11 replies

Quiver discovered my true identity somehow, and started a rather fun "Star Trek: Cosmere" thread as a result.

I don't think it'd matter much in the end. You'd probably get more of the Feruchemical power at the same time than usual (though that's what surging it from metalminds is for...), but the duralumin wouldn't add any power to the process. Source:

It's not really "my" theory, as it was developed rather indirectly with a half dozen others during the course of discussion. That said... maybe. My head's not really in it right now: I felt like I was flailing a bit when I tried to explain it to you the other day. I'd need to take a few days to review the initial thread and my own thoughts before I put anything on paper.

Sure, here's some reason to think otherwise. We see also from this chapter that Kaladin's own Full Lashings are somehow "attuned" to him even after they've been "cast". It could well be, then, that only the proper "owner" of some Invested stormlight can absorb it in that way, akin to how only the original Awakener can recover Breath, or the original Feruchemist (normally) use an attribute from a metalmind.

The Catquisitors were ready, assembled in squads at the debarkation room. At Kurkistan of Borg's order, they began drawing the Aons that would transport them onto the enemy bridge...
