Treamayne is not correct that it has to be "built-in" to IPS, though. Skin customization has always been a robust feature. It's more just we would have to tinker with the skin, and time is pretty slim at the moment (and for me, for all foreseeable moments in the future). Eventually, probably. I've blinked and we have gone from 2023 to 2026, so yeah, I have nothing to report on this.

I can understand the concern, but in our experience, it is usually pretty easy to discern. I think the easiest test is to see: can these linguistically be used as pronouns? A lot of times on the forums this field was used just as a joke, like the Member title field. That's what this rule is designed to discourage. We don't want pronoun fields like "Not/as/short/as/you". It's pretty clear that that's a joke. There are people who refuse to use a pronoun field, and will just put unrelated words (none of which are pronouns), sometimes mentioning their political or religious affiliations. People are perfectly entitled to said affiliations, but they are not pronouns, and it's clear people who do this are simply doing this out of some anti-woke sentiment. (Despite the fact that over text like this, knowing someone's pronouns is extremely useful and practical, as you have literally nothing else to go on.) So I would say this rule is designed to remove obvious jokes and also bad faith actors. Certainly people can use unusual pronouns or neopronouns that are not something an average individual on the street would recognize, and that's fine. I would say we would err more on the side of caution than not, but all the ones we have removed have been very clearly not pronouns. (Edit to add in: should have you any specific concerns in this regard, PM me, Ene, or anyone else, and we are more than happy to listen.) Everyone else in this thread: there is no need to meme here, please, thank you. This is a serious topic in a serious board, and you can save that for other areas of the site, like the RP areas. I have removed several off topic comments.

No one is being stopped from making such detailed chapter summaries, but it is a very significant effort that has not seen adoption. So, go for it, if you wish. You may need Editor rights to make said pages. Do not copy+paste the summary from Summary:The Way of Kings to these individual chapter pages. The idea is to expand on each summary, and that format would allow for spoilers for future books to be in those. They are quite a different beast. Does that make sense? I would still recommend the editing Discord for faster responses. (For example, directly pinging random staff members is not necessarily super effective.) Editing is significantly easier on desktop than mobile anyway.

There's a difference between you attaching and inserting a video, which would use the attachments feature, and is uploading the video to the server. Linking a video (such as a YouTube link) is not that, and I think you're conflating these.

You... don't get more space? You are at 666MB and so you have quite a lot left, but you should really upload videos to YouTube. You have a lot of videos and they do take up a lot of space. Just unlist them and link the YouTube video. We cannot host 1GB for every member.

I agree you weren't malicious. But come on, I get it, it sucks to get caught (which obviously you would have preferred not to), and I know it's real easy to rationalize yourself as the hero. There was a configuration change that Paleo made that caused the database to run out of disk space. That was the second (and unrelated) issue. Cloudflare was different. When the site is down, definitely come on Discord for up to date information, as the site won't have those details.

You are certainly more than welcome to write your own wiki text for this project. Best of luck; the Coppermind has taken fifteen years to get to this stage. You do not have permission to use the Coppermind text for this purpose, though again, we could potentially discuss that. (In particular, we viciously prevent LLMs from taking the text, as best we can.) What are you talking about? Who is writing the text you are putting in, specifically? A LLM? I'm not sure you're aware of the specifics of this, and you probably should look into it. PM me which pages are as such. I looked at several pages on the Coppermind and ours are significantly more in-depth than Stormlight Fandom. If there is copying, I want to know. I will DMCA them again of copied material, if necessary.

That is not correct; I believe you are mistaken because there are a variety of CC licenses. The Coppermind's does not allow for derivative works without permission. The Stormlight wiki on Fandom should not be a copy of our work. Are you saying that in a literal sense, or a more broad sense? I can and have successfully DMCA'd Fandom for the Stormlight wiki's admin copying our text verbatim. That admin is well aware at this stage and should know better. So, if you would like to gain permission, we can talk. But you do not by default have our consent and blessing to do this. We have definitely said no to amateur developers in the past. Edit to add: ...How? Like, what do you do for core cosmere articles that are synthesizing many, many different books? Are you going off the references, I guess, and removing lines that have a specific reference to a specific book?
