    I might be back to being active for a little while? no promises, since Quizbowl is keeping me up doing stuff like 23/6 out of 24/7, but it's back on my mind kind of right now

      The tossups tend to be drastically more difficult than the bonuses, their science questions are absurdly easy (even the tossups) especially compared to the literature or history stuff.Β 

      My main issue is moreso with the format... it just doesn't follow a logical structure like something compared to Reach for the Top (which isn't that great either but I digress)

      ok, yeah, all of that is fair. I don't really agree that science is easier (though that may vary by circuit, depending on what level you played at), but you made lots of valid points.
      I'm just glad somebody new what I was talking about

      I write competitive trivia packs and occasionally participate from time to time. Although my team doesn't do quizbowl competitions, we do other formats and sometimes read quizbowl questions for fun.Β 

      tbf the literature isΒ reallyΒ hard if you don't have prior experience

      It would've taken me a lot longer if I hadn't started guessing weird characters because it took you so long

      I spent 2 minutes trying to remember Notum's name, only to discover he wasn't an option

    it kinda is only one scene, but the scene is like super dragged out by flashbacks so the entire first chapter feels like *confusion* CATHETER *Flashback* *Flashback CATHETER *confusion* CATHETER *More flashback* CATHETER CATHETER *flashback* noooo no more catheter. The audiobook also reads the first chapter slower than the more action-filled ones, so that's probably part of my problem, but idk, it made me like super uncomfortable Still a 9/10 book (I only rank Sanderson/Lynch a 10) but I just thought I'd put that out there

    There is ooone thing tho... It spends like a good 15% of the book discussing a catheter. Not like... in detail or anything. It just KEEPS bringing it up, and tbh it made me kinda uncomfortable. more uncomfortable than almost any other book I've read, and I read all of ACOTAR
