If anyone wants to know which is mine, it's the worst one.

Now that is factually incorrect MINE was the worst one.

Bold of you to assume that my piece wasn’t the worst it’s definitely down there.

What is it about creative people that makes us compete for last place?

Though if anyone's was going to be the worst, it would obviously be mine.

When it comes to anything that we put a piece of ourselves in, we only see the flaws and not the things that people say that makes it great. After we have worked on it for who knows how long, we can only see the shortcomings and not the good things.

Yeah, largely perfectionism

Little meme for this category:

Xino: Any type of narration and gives examples of picture narration

Us: Writing is all we shall submit

I mean, I thought about doing a picture. Once. For about 15 minutes before my art skills failed me and I just went, "yeah, how about words."

It makes sense, kind of, it's just interesting.

Also, since you missed doing your own piece before (And yes, I know that was intentional, you get compliments anyways because vengeance! And also because of the vast amount of things that I liked that I don't want to ignore).

"An Act of Dying Justice": Love the themes of justice/vengeance. They interact nicely with Corvus' powers, and I love the memories that Aethan clings to as well. The flashbacks were extremely well integrated, especially when we learn of Aethan's abilities. There are some places where you could cut out some excess description, but there were also things about it that I really liked. Corvus and Aethan as an unreliable narrator, for one, along with the contrast of the Pacis' white uniforms. Traditionally white symbolizes, virtue, integrity, peace, things like that, and that symbolism contrasted really well with both the actions of some of the Pacis and the later blood. Speaking of, creative names! The name of the Pacis worked really well for me, along with the name of the country.

ತ_ತ So, this is what my medicine tastes like. I’m not sure if I like it.

Thanks for the feedback, though. I know my over-complicating self loves to over-explain things when they shouldn’t be over-explained, but it always slips my mind whenever I’m going through the editing/drafting phase. It’s something I’ll work on, thanks. This is actually feedback I can use, unlike some others from real life friends that I know are being really nice to me lol.

People think that I'm nice, but actually I'm just evil.

I'm glad the feedback is actually helpful, even if it's not always the most appreciated. I tend to be annoyingly honest, so whatever I say is generally also going to be accurate to my own perception as well. Let me know if you ever want more feedback on stuff, and I'd probably be happy to give it :P

The third round has concluded!

Congratulations to @Frustration and @Channelknight Fadran for tying for first place with "The Guide" and Submission #8, respectively!
Congratulations to @Mystic Syn, @Knight of Iron, and @Aspiring Writer for tying for third place with "An Act of Dying Justice", "Story", and "The Relation of Expectations.docx" respectively!

The current standings are as follows.

  1. @Aspiring Writer: 12 votes
  2. @Mystic Syn: 9 votes
  3. @Frustration: 9 votes
  4. @Zephrun's Imperium: 9 votes
  5. @Channelknight Fadran: 9 votes
  6. @Knight of Iron: 7 votes
  7. @Experience: 7 votes
  8. @The Unknown Order: 7 votes
  9. @Mage: 5 votes
  10. @WrathofaShardKitten: 5 votes
  11. @Condensation: 3 votes
  12. @Isabelle6060: 2 votes

Fourth Round: Video

Video is the recording/reproduction of moving images - or at least, the illusion of motion through quick cycling of still images. Oftentimes, audio is added alongside, to enhance the experience. It is perhaps the best art for creating the illusion of reality in the mind of the observer. It is now your turn to create these illusions.

In this round, you will be creating a video. Submissions should be in a video format, meaning that it displays a series of images in succession. Submissions should be experienceable by all.

If any participants are hesitant to create submissions due to limitations on knowledge or ability to manipulate video, I am willing to assist in overcoming these challenges.

Get creating!

Hold up, what?!

I had a thought a couple of time "Hey, what if I win?" but I didn't think it would actually happen.

I, thanks guys, thank you so much.

I'll give a small review for each one.

MB FE Trailer: Verry good, I think we have a thread somewhere you could post that, I like it

An act of Dying Justice: Not much to say I'm afraid

The Guide: So, this was mine, I wanted to write this after I saw a meme thanking the grim reaper gor giding souls. I originally started out writing this as 3rd person from Narrot's PoV, but that wasn't working so I changed it to it's current form.

Diagonal: This is an intresting one, I definatly like the premise.

Clink: Short and effective, good job.

The Fabric of Reality itself: nice poetry at the start, and it works into the rest of the narrative.

Story?: this one confused me for a second, but I eventually figured it out, that's a really unique story style, good job.

Submission #8: Fadran it seems, I like how similar ours are, while at the same time taken in completely different directions.

The Reality of Excpectations: Aspire, well I should have seen that coming, good character interaction, nice subtle worldbuilding, and good narrative flow.

Wait for It: And another on the theme of death, good poetry, nice ending, short and sweet.

Videos take a long time to make, so can I suggest that we have a longer time limit on this one?

Indeed. You will have until November 1st.

Which one was yours?

“The Guide”: That was some deep crap, person who wrote this. I’ve always loved to play with the concept of a mortal meeting the embodiment of Death and what their reaction would be, and I can see that you do think about it in a deeper way than most authors I have read that have made millions off their books. I loved how you didn’t want to have the encounter long, because you knew that it didn’t need to be long and the fact that we had a word/page limit. It’s a really good piece of writing, hitting as hard as it needs to, making the reader think about what they’re reading.

Thank you so much

Mine was Story, I realized too late that my final edit of it had left it too vague and ambiguous.

Perhapse, but it was one of the most unique, and certainly something I have never seen before

My favorite number 5 votes on my lucky number 7th page. I find this amusing.

I'll only say this; the only piece I didn't hesitate to vote for was 'Wait for it'.

Fourth Round: Video

... This is amusing on so many levels. I just finished doing this stupid edit of an hour-long part of a stream I was in, but I am positive nobody's going to watch that... or get it if they did. Thankfully, there are others that haven't seen the light of day.
