Kelsier sighed internally, and soothed Faith’s disgust and horror, rioting her relief instead. It would be easier to keep the kids safe if they got along, and Faith’s seeming rejection - even if that wasn’t what it was - was not conducive to that end.

She - I - have/ has come to terms with that. Zola, anyone?

Oh dear, Connie- sorry, Faith- doesnt seem to be taking this well.

"Uh. Are you okay Faith?"

Faith held up a finger, pushing aside her gag reflex.

I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO SAY! AHHHHHHHH! I HAVE TO SAY SOMETHING! "Um, Connie?" She had a bit of concern in her voice. "You're not going to puke, are you?" I hope she's okay...

Faith pointedly didn't look at Lilliana. "I think... I'll be fine?"

She bit her lip. That's good. Is she just shocked? "So... Did anything happen while I was gone?" Yes. Changing the subject. Something I'm actually fairly good at.

"Uhh, not really. We went in the basement?" Faith found she could manage it if she didn't look at Lilliana.

Yay! The subject has been successfully changed. "Well..." I no longer have any idea of what I should change the subject to.

"So what... happened to you?"

"Um, I got shot. And died. It actually hurt way less than I expected it to, which was a pleasant surprise. And then I spent about a minute standing in the Cognitive Realm, shocked. It looks really cool. And I automatically became a Cognitive Shadow. Which was unexpected, but I am not complaining. And then... *Add more dialogue that explains in very little detail what happened* And that about sums it up."

I didn't want to try to give a complete summary of what happened. It would take up too much space. :P

"Hello?" Adrienne asked.

Your character wouldn't be in the house... Maybe across the street? Maybe? You could have your character knock on the door. (Although, that is what Condensation's character did. And if you don't, Kelsier will send someone to find you. You could also be in the Roughs or a random octant. Heck, you could be in South Scadrial if you wanted.) :)

"Oh. So now you're like Kelsier?"

Yep. (I suggest not sniping a Ghostblood. That would turn out badly. And don't shoot any of us.) :D

"Kind of?" I mean, I didn't become a shard for any amount of time whatsoever. Or do anything impressive. It kinda just happened.

I'm guessing it wouldn't hit us. Kelsier is right there. But yeah. You could have your character try.

Snipe me! As long as it's nonlethal, Faith will heal faster than anyone else with her pewter.

"Okay. Well..." she trailed off.

Adrienne carefully slid a boxing held in place by her forefinger up her thumb, angling her elbow just right to line up the perfect shot.

You have Connie's permission. :)

Awkward.

Adrienne let out half a breath, then flared her steel and shot the coin.

Uh... You do know Kelsier is probably going to deflect the coin, right? And then probably come after you.

Lilliana sneezed.

As I’ve repeatedly stated: the house is protected. You can’t snipe anyone in it. Not to mention that there are thick curtains over the windows. You just hit the window.

Kelsier smiled grimly as the coin hit the glass. Considering what those were intended to prevent, a mere coin was nothing. He flaired his bronze, focusing on the odd bronze pulses of the worldhoppers. “Across the street,” he ordered his crew. “On the roof. And be careful.” He knew they’d know what he meant. “I’ll keep in contact.”

Trésor and Braiser nodded in unison, then headed toward the front door. The coinshot burned his steel as he cracked the door. Aiguilles and Foullet slipped out the side.

Across the street, Roues pulled himself to the roof.

Was that an accident, or was someone trying to kill someone. Probably an accident, right?

The house is sound proofed. This place is run by a a secret society that wants to be covert. No eavesdroppers allowed!

Kelsier is keyed into the ‘alarm’ system, so he knew when the coin hit. Aluminum won’t show up, obviously.

The protections I've envisioned:

Alarm system (both magical and mundane) (Activated due to the attack)

A secondary system at major entry points (windows, doors, etc.) that traps intruders in a tiny Cadmium bubble. (Activated due to the attack)

A general “do not pay attention” aura around the house using a mixture of bronze and zinc allomancy. (Always active)

Two camera systems, one magical (using F copper) and one mundane (Always active)

A magical air shield based off the surge of tension that surrounds the house. (This one is currently non-active)

The various curtains, carpets and tapestries are awakened with orders to protect the inhabitants. (Always active)
