Ashbringer he/him Posted February 7, 2021 Posted February 7, 2021 I'm gonna be a bit busy today, so I probably won't post (much) here until this evening.
Quintessential she/her Posted February 7, 2021 Posted February 7, 2021 So I just got done watching the 2 hour movie Stardust and only skimmed the thread. Interesting that when Matrim voted Liranil, TUO immediately voted Matrim... and not for anything specific he said, just "Matrim sus" : P Out of curiosity, I'm gonna put my vote on Liranil and see what happens...

Huh I didn't even notice that. Yeah I'd like to think I have god-tier reads but I really don't know xD The lack of reasoning on TUO's part is strange.

I figure that means it must be important, right? Edited February 7, 2021 by Quintessential

You're right, that is weird, but if Unknown Order and I were elims, wouldn't that be too obvious? I know I'm village, so I read that vote more as a continuation of Unknown Order's earlier suspicions. I definitely get how my post could sound a little sus or hedge-y. I think it's mostly because I'm an indecisive person, but I'm trying to be a little less timid and jump into things more on here. Take that as you will, I guess, but I still don't have any solid susses yet. Also, Kings_way posted, so I'm removing my poke vote (even though it was more of an "I exist" post than a contribution).

I should really go back and read thoroughly shouldn't I...
The Unknown Medallion he/him Posted February 7, 2021 Posted February 7, 2021 Sorry, I was a little rushed, but I do have reasoning. The way Matrim said "I am pinged off by Liranil’s post. Hrm. Currently trying to figure out why" seemed off and slightly tunnely to me. And the way he dug into things and especially the tone of the posts when he was looking felt sus to me. So mostly gut with some reasoning.

By anyone.
Illwei Posted February 8, 2021 Posted February 8, 2021 Okay, so I don't agree with TUO saying that mat looks tunnell-y, but this: 4 hours ago, Matrim's Dice said: I know it was in reply to that. I was just confused why you'd correct someone's reasoning that you agree with :P. Like, if you think there's four doctors, and Dannex thinks there's four doctors, why say anything that discredits that? This just feels like an incredibly Elimmy mindset I can't get it off my mind Matrim

I saw what looked like a contradiction. And pointed it out. That’s it. What about it is elimmy? I remember the thing you said earlier, which made sense, but I don’t see how it’s elimmy to instinctively assume otherwise Edited February 8, 2021 by Matrim's Dice

That just doesn't feel right to me at all, like- at all. Idk.

That just doesn't feel right to me at all, like- at all. Idk. Look, I don’t think TUO is elims for pointing that out. Like you said, it very well could be vil points cause elims care more about looking good and wouldn’t contradict themselves as much. Why I pointed it out then, is really just cause in the moment I found it kinda odd that TUO would contradict themselves like that. I now see how it isn’t actually all that strange but in the moment I really don’t think about how I phrase/say things all that much.

No need to channel that disappointment into something. "Where I'm from? Oh you know, no particular place. I get by, here and there. Now why I'm here? That's the more important question. Someone told me that this ship had top o' the class bar, and so I hop in right? And to come here and look at what? Only to find the bar closed? If I find that lad who..." he trailed off. "Anyywhooo nuff about me. Where you headin to Miss Second? Hey, you know, if you help me cook food, what's the food gonna be called?" Noon smiled. "A sailing day surprise maybe. Let's go help the cook use all the fresh food we loaded on board. Wouldn't want it to spoil would we?" They went down to the mess hall and commandeered some of food. Sixteenth got up joking about a second helping. He joined the others in the mess in talking about the Northern saboteurs. Noon buried her head back into her food. The fruits were crisp and sweet while the vegetables were nutty and soft. She slowly ate her meal, eavesdropping on what the others said. She paid attention, you never knew when someone would slip. People seemed suspicious but past mistakes make one cautious. None of the candidates they discussed seemed that suspicious. She would wait to cast her vote until something more was said.
Young Bard he/him Posted February 8, 2021 Posted February 8, 2021 (edited) 18 hours ago, Dannex said: Only mildly suspicious of this, but still suspicious enough for a vote. Young Bard. Reasoning: there was literally only 1.4 pages in the thread at the time of his posting that. 35 messages. Seems unlikely they would miss Archer’s post when there was barely anything to go through. Also, Bard’s poke-vote post was rather large, so I assume they put some time into it. And yet, despite all the time spent in the thread, they ‘missed’ the fact that Archer had already posted. Archer’s post was number 8 btw, at the very top of the page. I would not be surprised if this is an Elim!Bard/Elim!Archer team, with Bard trying to distance himself from Archer. Ummm... fair enough, I suppose. If I was trying to distance myself from an Elim, I think I'd have tried to do so in a less embarrassing way that wouldn't have been immediately pointed out, but I know I've certainly voted on people for less during D1. Quinn is probably my biggest suspicion right now - they seemed to vote on me and then Liranil with very little explanation. Though, I don't think I've played with Quinn before, so don't really know their playstyle (the AG doesn't count, because I don't associate playstyles to people when they're using anonymous accounts) - the more I think about it, I can also see Quinn's posts being from a slightly more chaos-gremlin style villager. TUO... I didn't think their initial contradictions about saying there were 4 Doctors and then contradicting that with the Among Us example was alignment indicative - maybe it was even slightly village leaning, since I think an Elim might want to seem more internally consistent. But he reacted weirdly when Matrim called him out on it. I definitely feel something off about his vote on Matrim, who I'd say I think is... slightly in my village camp, IMO, because he seems to be genuinely trying to solve the game. I'm gonna vote on TUO (Random Bystander). I might change my vote to Liranil if the TUO vote doesn't take off, because it could still be informative, but I haven't seen anything in Liranil's behaviour specifically that makes me suspicious, and the main reason for me to suspect Liranil is because of TUO's vote and a potential E/E pairing, in which case, why not just vote on TUO directly? My vote on Matrim is 75% gut and 10% reasoning with the other 15% being based on tone. The reason was because of his hedgy (my use of tunnely was incorrect) was what put me off. Maybe they are village, but this has as much reason as most d1 votes if not more.
