He did tell her his name was Owlson, so unless she has a bad memory it should be fine that she'd call him Owlson.

Ok, we'll pretend she said Owlson.

Talnic shoves himself to his feet, scrambling after his sword. He dashed to the side before the dragon can hit him again, or bite him. He didn't want to find out how quickly he would die if those teeth pierced him.

"Need help?" Exodus grunted as he waved his sheathed sword above his head to draw the attention of the dragon.

Exodus leaped into the air and flew onto the dragon's back, gripping on tightly. He thrust out a hand and a burst of ice shot therewith, freezing the dragon's head.

Talnic sighed.

What hadn't he Xues done that sooner?

While the dragon's head was trapped, Talnic ran and fell to his knees, sliding beneath the dragon. He ignored the screaming of his knees as he hit the stone, and thrusted his sword up into the soft underbelly of the dragon. It was a little disconcerting to see the sword through the body of the dragon.

The dragon bellowed, and Talnic stabbed it again.

It finally broke free of Xues's ice, and whirled to face Talnic, blood like liquid glass dripping from the wound. In the process, it managed to knock Talnic backwards, but he kept a firm grip on his sword.

Its face was a mask of pain and fury as it faced him.

Talnic pushed himself to his feet again, holding out his sword, the blade dripping with the dragon's strange blood.

The dragon took a step forward, but its knee buckled, and it crashed to the ground, letting out a roar that had a strange bell-like quality. The dragon gasped, and spoke. Its words were incoherent, likely spoken in a language long dead. Its head dropped, the words fading into a whisper, until they finally stopped. The dragon continued to breathe, but it took in air with quick gasps, its side rising and falling rapidly.

It was an unnerving sight.

Talnic approached the dragon, his heart clenching at what he had to do. He didn't want to kill the beast, and yet he also didn't want to suffer.

But he had been the one to stab it.

And it had tried to kill him.

Gritting his teeth, Talnic prepared to make the fatal blow.

Just a note; killing the Physical side of a physical-other realm dragon would leave its other side intact, and able to continue on into the dragon cycle, albeit skipping some steps

Exodus rolled off the dragon and plummeted off the edge of the tower, slowing his fall right before he landed. He stood beside Shadow, who seemed about to finish the dragon off.

To kill a dragon was murderous.

"You intend to kill the dragon?" Exodus called.

Yes, but this dragon is technically physical-dragon, and already disconnected from the Dragon Realm, so physically killing him will end him for good, I think.

Talnic nodded. "There's no point in letting it suffer."

Technically, it was dragon/dragon, there is no dragon realm overlaying our dimension, thus in order for it to actually exist in ours it must be one of the types of the cycle. It's not physical/dragon, is what I'm saying, it's in the form of a physical/idea or physical/spirit, thus it will likely adapt another form of the cycle.

"The other alternative being healing it," said Exodus, "I could impart health, if you desire."

Talnic glared at the man. Why hadn't he said anything about being able to heal before? It seemed like it would have been a good thing for them to know.

"I'm assuming that won't stop it from trying to kill us or someone else when it's able."

So, I think we'll just assume that everyone but Talnic, Exodus and Minuet (what's going on with Orpheus, BTW?) went to the basement. I'm not sure where Avren is. Apparently, I didn't follow too well in the last few pages on where every character is. Especially since Chrys and Nyx kind of disappeared. Maybe I should tag Cosmical and Aragorn? And generally, Traige's just disappearing and reappearing.

Edit: just checked, and for both the lost post was here, though they browsed the shard afterwards, without replying anywhere at all. It's a little weird, but I guess not too much.

Minuet sighed as the others attacked the dragon. Well... they wouldn't be needing her, it was clear. She may as well just leave before Sir Nathaniel came after them again. She folded her arms and stepped farther back, seeking to stay out of view.

Hearing that the noise from the roof died, Sef stops. "Apparently, there's no need to go find a safe place anymore." He says. He then turns to Gal.

"You're Owlson, aren't you?" He asks.

Gal nods.

"We should talk privately."

"Can we do it later?" Asks Gal. "You see, I'm learning about a new magic system right now."

"All right, then." Says Sef. "We'll talk as soon as you can."

Exactly as the dragon released its final, dying breath, a bolt of pure black energy burst into existence, drawing in and absorbing the light in the surrounding area for a moment. The air cooled, and a sound like a high-pitched inhalation sounded as a figure appeared-standing-a few feet from Talnic. The dark bolt dissolved, fading from view, as soon as it had appeared, leaving the figure.

The figure wore red and grey clothing, tattered and filthy. His right wrist was bleeding profusely, and he seemed to be cut and bruised in numerous other places. The man’s green eyes blazed with an otherworldly power, and his entire body was rimmed with black, pulsating energy.

The effect faded after a moment, leaving the man looking exhausted and distressed.

“Elara! Hel...” the man cried out, before toppling forward, unmoving.

Traige yelped, rushing forward. He didn’t prod at the figure’s mind- he had learned that was a bad idea- but he did examine the surface of his mind to affirm he was alive.

Traige turned to Xeus. “Hey, you said you can heal?” He didn’t like the look of the black energy but in moments of crisis it didn’t matter who was dying, just that someone was.

Cara sighed in relief. She really didn't want to be eaten. Realizing that she didn't know the person who spoke, Cara turns to the other person. "Hi! I'm Cara. What's your name?"

The other person Cara is referring to is Sef.

Exodus gaped in amazement, but there was no time for shock. He knelt down and glanced off in the distance. His demon had arrived.

"One second," he growled to Traige, and he was hit with the full force of an orange light slamming straight into his chest. His eyes turned a light shade of orange, and he placed a hand on the man who had collapsed—phasing from another Realm, maybe?—then imparted some healing life force into him.

Minuet stepped closer, intrigued. He was in no trouble, Xeus had healed him, but he could be trouble.

I figure that Rylan is going to be unconscious for a while, it’s exhausting to travel between worlds. And to almost die.
