There's a monster somewhere in the village that's controlling people. We would need to take that thing out before this could really work.

The people don't look that different, but they're moving jerkily, won't respond to words or visual input (except to attack) and are muttering softly in some unintelligible tongue. While they're basically zombies, they aren't dead yet. If you kill one, it will stay dead and you just killed an innocent.

Harmony whips a pack off her back and pulls out a violin, which really shouldn't have fit in there. She fits it to her chin and starts playing a soft, slow melody.

Looking in each house as he passes it, Verdin sees what must be the cause of the destruction in the town, being people, but under some sort of... possesion. They didn't seem to care very much about him. Siphoning away what adrenaline had been released as he saw the town, and slowing his heartbeat, Verdin observed the attackers.

Advancing further into the village, Qavisxu spots one of the strange people- perfectly still, perfectly calm about the burning town around them. Walking up to one of them, he says "What happened here?"
Silence. Except... no. He's whispering something.
He grabs it on the shoulder. Suddenly, it lashes out at him- leaping back, he swings his hammer, and oddly it seems to impact a solid surface in the air- a small glowing crack seems to appear in the air, and a disappointingly small puff of air hits the thing's face- meanwhile, Qav stumbles backwards, a surprised look on his face.

Elrym is lost. He can't remember... something. Hmm. I can't remember what I can't remember. That's funny. He continues to wander through the fields where this unusual dream had started.

The man in black armour walks towards you and says "who in the Rainbow of All are you and what is the place?" He has complex and heavy looking black armour with two white swords that he drops and they disintegrate into white dust the moment they leave the guy's hand

The man opens fire on the village, focusing his spray of laser-like projectiles only on those who didn't instinctively dodge them.

The melody Harmony is playing makes everyone near her drowsy. A few of the possessed people fall asleep near her and she moves to check on them.

A shadowy tendril appears behind one of you (any volunteers to get possessed?)

The air around Rekaerb begins to warp as he uses his powers to start rending reality.

Another Rekaerb clone yells "Watch out!" at the top of his lungs.

After the miserable attempt to fight the possessed, Qavisxu seems to be panicking just a little, having gotten behind the other members of their little party.
Why was that so weak? And the pane of reality so strong! What is wrong with this place?
After a couple of moments of this, he notices the dark tendril entering Rekaerb- it didn't seem to be coming from any of our other team members- It must be the enemy, doing to them whatever they did to those people.
After a moment of hesitation, Qavisxu dashes forward and tackles the corrupted Rekaerb from behind.

I think that might be best answered by Negative_Null, but it would probably just depend on how interconnected the worlds our characters are from are, because if they come from the same relative source, then yes, but I'm probably really overthinking this and we should just pick whether it does or doesn't work.
