"I don't know that we can do anything, either. Of course, you're helping us now by hiding us."

Right then, ironically enough, an angry voice called up from below.

"Who's that?" Hiiri whispered.

[Channelknight Fadran]

Alex paled slightly. "Davey, hide the box. You two, uhh..." He searched around desperately for someplace to hide them.

"You're too large for me to hold. I can go invisible, though I feel it may be wiser to stay visible - at least for now."

"Just act natural." Alex said, then called down to the soldiers below. "Sorry! Coming!"

Davey peeked out the window to see the soldiers.

Alex opened the door and dropped down the ladder. "You're not here to arrest us, are you?"

The soldiers climbed up the ladder and burst into the treehouse, each one scowling profusely.

"Who're those two?" Their leader demanded, gesturing to the girls.

Hiiri waved half-heartedly. "Hi, we're cousins of theirs. They were just showing us their treehouse."
