As they arrived at the clearing where their companions were, T slowed and began to walk. May I investigate first? She sent. I'm likely better equipped to than you.

T peered around the bushes, training her eyes on the point where she had last seen Hiiri. If I can't find them, would you be willing to go on alone? Who am I kidding, I wouldn't leave any ally of mine. Not unless I had to.

Hiiri moved somewhat jerkily, pulling the gun from the soldier's hands.

"Don't worry," she called. "I got him."

Alex let out a relieved sigh. "Where's Davey?"

"There," said Hiiri, flicking an arm in the direction of the culvert Davey was hiding in.

[Mist she/her]

T stepped towards the culvert. "Davey?" 

"Hiiri, you okay? You're moving a little oddly."

[xinoehp512 he/him]

Davey emerged cautiously from the culvert.

"I'm fine," replied Hiiri.

[Mist she/her]

"Okay, I guess. Where were we going next, now that these guys are taken care of? Are we expecting they'll send more?"

[Channelknight Fadran]

Alex took in some deep breaths. "We should... probably get out of here. And fast."

"Probably," replied Davey. "When the others don't report back."

T thought for a moment, then started climbing a nearby tree. "I'll look around. I know you guys know the terrain, but I prefer knowing where I'm going."

[Channelknight Fadran]

"We're approaching the sector walls," Alex replied, squinting as he peered out into the distance. "We've been to other sectors a few times, but... not enough to know the area. Once we pass the border, we're blind."

[Mist she/her]

"In that case, I'll take a better look," she called down, voice slightly muddled by the tree. Gazing towards the horizon, T took note of the walls, the trees, and many structures. "How would we cross the border?"

"We could... climb them?" suggested Davey.

[Channelknight Fadran]

"Or take the sewers."

[xinoehp512 he/him]

Just now, Channelknight Fadran said:

"I don't know..." said Davey nervously. "We've never ventured into that section of the sewers before."

Alex shrugged. "How bad could one section of sewers be from another? Sewage is sewage."

"There are factories over the wall," replied Davey. "They have to dump their waste somewhere."

[Mist she/her]

T hops down from the tree. "So it seems like there's enough people that would spot us climbing the walls that we should maybe try the sewers first. But you guys do know here better than me."

[Channelknight Fadran]

"Then we'll do that," Alex said, nodding.

Davey exhaled nervously. "Alright," he said. "But if we see anything..."

"We'll book it and hope nobody shoots us."
