I'm pretty sure it was meant to be an annual thing that was decidedly not during Ookla season. I'll have to look it up.

It just reminds me over and over again how the population of the forum tends to just completely change within two years. Almost makes me feel old.

I also forgot to mention how you're trying to make this worse. I was there (sort of) when the Clone Season trend started. It was just that an inside joke between two sharders who swapped PFPs coincided with the millionth post celebration. The whole thing is ridiculous because apparently the millionth post celebration overshadowed the Shard's tenth birthday, which occured a couple of months earlier. The thread for it is what popularized the clones, I think - then called the Truthless Troops (you can look it up, there's a thread of them somewhere). Then they decided to start an annual trend of changing their PFPs to be the same for a million seconds. I'm not sure if it survived more than one year, though. Anyway, I'm pretty sure suggestions for doing it during Ookla season were quickly shot down. If you'll manage to organise it during Ookla season, you'll manage to make it worse than the original.

(Waiting for someone else to reply so as to not double post. It was an edit to my original post, but took too long to write and had I kept it this way it would've passed under the radar. Hope it's comes off as fine and not derailing.)
