Chorale walked back through the marketplace, thinking about what she'd do tomorrow. She went into the inn and distractedly climbed the stairs, then opened the door and stepped inside. @DramaQueen

Kimora looked up from the book she was reading to see a woman barge into her room. "Excuse me? If you're the cleaning lady, I don't want you coming in here while I'm here, and I could get you fired for not knocking first." She tossed her long, black hair over her shoulder, her piercing dark violet eyes staring intensely into the intruder's face. The woman's eyes were covered with the brim of her hat, but Kimora was certain that her gaze would get the point across. "I asked to not be disturbed unless absolutely necessary, so, no matter who you are, leave. Now."

I just realized that Kimora is literally Jasnah. Oh, well. The stuck-up sass will fade away into normal sass eventually.

Chorale looked up, her white eyes flashing. This woman had the audacity to call this her room? Chorale had paid for--wait. Chorale looked back into the hall. Her room was one door over. She stepped back in, her chin tilted carefully down again. "My apologies," she said. "It was an honest mistake." She stepped into the hall with a nod, closing the door. I haven't made that stupid of a mistake since I was just a youth! She shook her head.

Kimora, suspicious, shut her book and walked over to the door, opening it a fraction of an inch, then watching as the woman entered the next door over. Still slightly on edge, Kimora sat back down and tried to continue reading. She was unsuccessful, and decided to lay down for a bit, keeping an eye and an ear open for any disturbance.

xino, it'd probably look and sound like she was sleeping. Dai could slip into her room right now.

Chorale lay down on her bed. She knew she wouldn't get much sleep tonight--she usually didn't when she wasn't at home or in the forest--but she could monitor what was happening around her better with her eyes closed. When the Amals attacked, she would know and could go fight back. Outside, she could hear the creak of the gates closing. Sunset, then, she thought.

A man stood in the streets, simply watching the market start to slow down and close for the night. So much had already happened, and tomorrow only promised more. Is there anyone who knows what tomorrow holds, because if there is, as soon as the man found him, he'd get every bit of information about tomorrow as he could, no matter what. The future is such a finicky and dangerous thing.

The man watched and waited until another approached him, a man with orange eyes, exactly on time. All that the man can do is hope that he had all the information that he needed. Even if he didn't know what tomorrow held in store, it was bound to be very eventful, and the man wanted every bit of information that he could get to prepare. Tomorrow would be eventful, and the man would be busy.

The night grew colder, and Valerie wrapped her arms around herself, reaching for her jacket, which had fallen too far away. She couldn't reach it, of course, and she curled up, trying to relax her ankle in the grip.

A woman approached the Amal as she huddled in the alleyway. She's wearing a heavy brown cloak that makes her features indistinguishable. She sees Valerie's plight, and picks up the jacket, offering it to her before speaking.

"How, how can they get away with treating you like this, with treating the amal in the marketplace like that? It shouldn't happen, and yet it does."

Vapor is going to take control of the Amal who have been attacking the settlement, and I don't know what she's planning.

Chorale lay on her bed with her eyes closed, taking in the sounds of the market closing. Her eyes shot open as she remembered the Amal in the marketplace. Mother of Crystals! she thought. I need to go make sure that one hasn't gone. She sat up and walked out of her room, her hat replaced.

Valerie smiled thankfully at the woman, pulling on her jacket. "Well, generally most Amals have been affected strangely by the animal in their mind, but everyone automatically assumes Amals are bad."

She puts a hand on Valerie's shoulder.

"Do you think that you can get nasty trap? I'm not even sure how it still has a grip on you."

"It's a telenetic green grip."

A slight look of disgust appears on the woman's face as she regards the telekinetic grip.

"Is there any way to tell how long it will last? I'm bad at this crystal nonsense."

I would like to join this, but could someone give me a summary on what has happened so far? I read the OP, so I have an idea of how the world works, but I don't have the time to read through 8 pages of RP.

"No sense in leaving you to suffer alone," the woman says as she sits down next to Valerie, "what's your name, if you want to tell me of course."

Well, you should read through the first couple of pages to get the character descriptions. I have a nasty habit of adding little things I thought of in quote boxes. Other than that, Chorale is cold and works alone, basically. I've added a bunch of foreshadowing that you'll miss, but otherwise:

You know what, I tried and I think I'll miss stuff. How about I add you to the PM and you can read whatever when you have time? Someone else can probably explain better than I can.

Val and a random woman are in the alleyway, Chorale is looking for Ene's character just outside the inn, Queen's character is in her room, I don't know about anyone else.

The greengrip on Val's ankle squeezed tightly for a breath and then released at long last.

Val looked down. "I guess it wasn't as long as I thought," she said, rubbing her ankle.

Kimora couldn't relax, no matter what she tried. Exasperated at herself and the woman who had disturbed her, she got up and walked to the next room over. Normally, she'd use one of her illusions for this, but she was almost out of purple crystals, so she had to be sparing with them. Tempted for a moment to just bathe in, the way this woman had to her, Kimora grudgingly raised a hand to the door, knocking sharply.
