FINALLY SOMEONE ELSE POSTED ON HERE.

Toran had been doing fine against the other revenants but they had started chopping off one of the legs together and Toran was now slowly toppling down. Ronin swiftly attacked one of the revenants.

Ronin smacked the revenant in the back with his blade and the revenant keeled over, but it was back up in a flash, the revenant blocked a blow from Ronin and landed one with the flat end of their sword on Ronin's arm, causing him to gasp in pain.

The revenant smiled and said in a raspy voice, "Time to die."

Ronin grimaced, "you'd like that wouldn't you."

As the Revenant lunged at Ronin, he parried and sent a blow to the revenants arm.

"why do you not freeze because of the fire?" asked Ronin as he stabbed forward.

The revenant gave a groan that sounded like when a building creaks, "our ways shall not become yours."

The revenant slapped the sword away and stepped back.

"Wouldn't you rather?" asked Corundum idly. "It's better to enjoy what you do, is it not?"

“No. No no,” she said, grabbing her head with one hand. “I don’t, no.”

But her memories said otherwise.

It was satisfaction that coursed through her when she cut down not just her enemies, but her victims… and loved ones. That satisfaction tainted the memory, a headache following not long after. Would she feel that same satisfaction when she––

No,” Q said aloud through gritted teeth. The headache grew worse, memories of her recent conversation with Highness coming to light. “Nonono.”

Quick tip about revenants- they aren't actually that zombie-like, generally speaking. (At least in a decaying, rotten sense). The Gray Man has been creating them from normal people, so they fight like normal people and (except for being drained of color and having eerily unfocused eyes) look like normal people. The one way they are like zombies, however, is that they are totally, utterly mindless. If one is talking, it is not a revenant, but another creature like the Gray Man.

"You are conflicted," he murmured sympathetically.

oh, LOL ok I will make fix that with this thing.

Ronin cocked his head and realized something, the revenant had talked. "you are not ordinary revenants are you?"

The revenant grinned, "finally you catch on."

Goosebumps crawled up his back as Ronin barely parried a blow.

Toran groaned as he kicked a revenant in the air, "Ronin, stop this one." he pointed at the fourth revenant who was holding a torch and bringing it closer to Toran's leg.

Ronin grimaced and shouted, "I'm a little busy at the moment."

"I DON'T CARE!" said Toran as the revenant came closer despite Toran's best attempts.

“I’m not,” she argued.

The knife in her other hand shook, but after tightening her grip, it stopped.

“I’m not,” Q repeated.

Ronin dashed towards the not-revenant that was carrying the torch, while the other not-revenant that had been talking to him followed from behind.

Ronin batted the torch out of the not-revenant's hand. the not-revenant turned in anger, they swung their axe at Ronin who slipped below the blow and swung at the not-revenant's legs.

"What, in Kajan's forsaken name, are you talking about?"

"Hmm." She lowered her hand from her head. "I still don't want to take up your offer."

Q's head immediately tilted down to the right, as if listening to an unknown voice.

"Still a no," she continued through gritted teeth.

Ariana clenched her fist. The world itself began to shake, cracks forming at the seams.  "You think you can choose to deny your destiny?" She laughed. "You really are a fool."

Q clutched her head again, fighting the scream building up inside her. Her mind raced, torn between the two options. She controlled her breathing, though her gaze was flicking back and forth for something to focus on, preferably something of comfort, but nothing caught her eye.

"Ye-yes," Q said after a moment. "I'm sure."

Light shines through the cracks. The dream disintegrates into an endless field of white.

In the waking world, the amulet glows brightly. Cupra (who is on guard right now chronologically) glances over. She gazes at the amulet, an odd expression on her face.
Then the amulet fades, and the moment is over.

Corundum sighs. "A shame." His eyes flash black as shadowy figures blur into existence besides him. "I will regret killing you."

@Condensation Whenever you are ready, Cupra wants to have a discussion with Melody. Chronologically before Q's watch.

"I would converse with you," said Cupra to Melody.

Q immediately brandished her knives, falling back into her defensive stance again, her eyes dead set on her opponent.

"But," continued Corundum as four revenants with milky white eyes charged at Q, "I will enjoy seeing you fight."

She growled softly, immediately setting to work as the revenants charged.

Even in her mental state, her attacks were well-coordinated. Slash after slash, Q hacked away at the revenants, fighting them all off at once. It was strenuous work, especially after what nightmare she was going through, but it looked effortless. It was like watching a pianist play their most beloved piece; a piece they've worked on for months, maybe even years. To say it was graceful was an understatement; Q seemed to know every move the revenants attempted, though a few of their attacks managed to break through. She dodged with precision, attacking when it was necessary.

The whole time she was doing this, her knuckles were turning white with how hard she was gripping her knives. She spun them in her hands, stabbing through a revenant's neck and removing it with ease as their blood spurted on her face. Q didn't care; she was taught to not care about those sorts of things. Their blood only added to what was already on her hands and at her feet, and it's not like there was anything she could do to wipe it away; it always managed to stain her, no matter how hard she tried to clean herself. It was only a little more blood, and it's not like it was going to hurt her; she was beyond hurting at this point. There was nothing anyone could do to heal her, nothing they could do to even try to be her remedy. No one was going to be there for her, especially not now.

Q threw her ivory knife, impaling one of the revenants in the middle of their forehead. Leaning back to avoid another attack, she quickly brought herself back up and jabbed the attacker at the base of their neck, stabbing its way through the neck. Blood gurgled, spattering on her face, speckling it with black. Q ground her teeth, twisting it, more blood gushing from the newly made wound. Reaching her hand out, Thyella fell in her grasp right in time for her to ram it into the last one, a deep growl rattling in her throat. It fell without a single word, right next to its fallen comrades.

She stood among the bodies, her breathing deep, posture dangerous, and eyes set to kill. The blade in her hand glowed softly, brightening the cave. Q looked up at Corundum, a glare settling in her eyes.

She didn't say anything as she walked over, pulling the knives from the revenants.

"Pray I don't do the same to you," Q snarled. "Now, unless you have anything else to do here, I suggest you leave."

Is it okay that I have a new kind of undead enemy? they look like revenants but are far more intelligent.

Ronin luckily made the blow and the not-revenant crumpled. Ronin decided that he was going to call the not-revenants Draugr.

Toran thanked Ronin and Ronin nodded as he charged at the other Draugr that had been chasing him. They met in a clash of swords. sparks flew as they pushed.

"You resist the inevitable Ronin." said the Draugr.

"No" said Ronin, "I," he pushed harder, "fight,"  he started to weaken, "for," he broke out of the clash and moved into a defensive position, "every," Ronin swung at the Draugr's legs, and the draugr jumped aside, "last," Ronin drew two throwing knives that were in his belt and threw them at the Draugr, "BREATH."

the Draugr died with two knives lodged in its skull.
