Cadenza walked behind Janice. She reached the shop and looked around, breathing in the scent of perfume.

Janice immediately started browsing the things, but encountered a problem. "Cadenza, is there a way to tell what size of clothing I should wear?"

"Um, yes." Cadenza looked Janice up and down. "You know, maybe we should get a hotel room or something and shower first. I'm covered in blood and I don't know the last time you showered."

Janice frowned. "What's a shower?"

Timeskip to getting a hotel room?

Sounds good to me.

"You just answered my question. Come on, let's go."

"Hey Maddy, do you know where we can find a hotel and, uh, a... 'shower?'" Janice shook her head. "Wait, isn't that, like, when... someone drops water on your face, or something? I heard some of the newer urchins talking about them."

I made my character!

Spoiler

Name: Elieen (AKA: Shade)

Species: Human.

Aspect: Shadows (Can hide herself, her stuff, and maybe one other person in the shadows.)

Profession: Bounty Hunter.

Weapons: A black bladed dagger with a black hilt that has silvery designs on it, a black recurve bow with a silver riser, arrows with black and silver fletching and a black tip.

Team: Whomever she is working for at any point.

Appearance: Short black hair (originally blonde, but she dyed it), pale skin, dark blue eyes, tall. Wears a plain black shirt and black pants with black leather boots and a black cloak with silver embroidery when working. She wears normal clothing at all other times. (If you couldn’t tell, she has a flair for the dramatic.)

By the way, I'm going to make it so that she is a very prominent and infamous bounty hunter, so you guys should have heard of her at some point.

Maddy laughed. "I can probably find a hotel, I've seen enough of them to know what they look like. And yes, you could describe them like that, but they're much nicer in reality."

Conveniently, they're back now...

Well... at least they're back.

"Okay. Should we grab some clothes to change into first?"

"I think if we want to shop for new ones, our old clothes would do fine to change back into after our showers."

"Okay. Lead the way!"

Maddy signaled for the others to follow, and she led them down the street looking for signs of a hotel. Within a few minutes she had spotted one that looked somewhat promising- it probably wouldn't be too disgusting, hopefully not at all, but she stopped out front.

"Uhh... who's paying?"

"Not me, I hope, unless hotels accept literal arms and legs."

Wait - what's the money system again?

"Yeah, I guess I can."

It's different for each nation. I believe that we're still in Raodea, so the money is called--you'll never guess--Raos.

"Alright, then." Janice walked over the front desk, standing on tiptoe to put a bit of height over it. "Excuse me! Can we get a room?"

All right, sounds good.

Wait - is that in the worldbuilding doc?

"That depends," said the receptionist. "How many of you are there and can you pay?"

I don't remember. There was a post that Null had back on page [less than ten or something I don't actually know] where a barkeep was discussing the prices for his meals in all the currencies, so I was just going off that.

"There's... uh..." Janice counted on her fingers. "Five of us. Cadenza's paying."

Cadenza walked up to the front desk. "I'm paying."

"Okay. A room for five is going to be [I don't know what to say so assume she said a reasonable number...] raos."

"Okay." Cadenza pulled out a pouch from a pocket she totally had before and set it on the counter. It clinked. "That should be enough."

I'm sure they just thought Cadenza was a really short adult because she's obviously so mature.

With childish proportions. Ah.

"It's good enough. I'm just glad there's more than one shower." Cadenza walked into one of the bathrooms. "This one's mine!" she called, closing the door. A moment later, the water turned on.

Janice opened the door to their room one timeskip later and flipped on a lightswitch. "Whoa! This is nice!"

Shade stalked her newest mark, bored. This seemed too easy. She entered the room, hidden in shadows. She wished her target seemed more dangerous. Why did they employ me anyway? There are so many bounty hunters that could do this job, and they wouldn't be nearly as expensive to hire as me!

Who wants your character dead exactly?

Dead?

Who says anyone wanted Janice dead?

Also... pal, I love conflict as much as the next guy, but just dropping your character in wherever Janice happens to be and capturing her right away is kinda... unlikely? She was essentially nowhere just ten hours ago; Shade wouldn't have any intel yet as to where she is. Maybe question Cruz or Lloyd about her? Assuming Wind ever comes back, of course.
