I've literally never been on a forum before so I will do my best to learn how it works. I've hit the sweet spot where I'm too young to have commonly used forums but too old to comfortably use discord.

I've read (listened to, like a good Vorin man) everything except White sand. I look for to theory crafting with you all.

Probably TWoK. It was my first cosmere book and I only got it because I was trying audiobooks for the first time and it was the longest book 1 available to use my free credit on. The szeth prologue sunk the hooks in deep.

Welcome to the Shard!

Have you taken the official Knights Radiant quiz?

PS you've already demonstrated the ability to read, therefore you're no longer a good Vorin man

Truthwatcher!

Also you don't know that, I could be using text to speech or requiring my wife to read and respond for me, though I don't know what that would say for our relationship.

Sir, is your wife wearing a safehand?

That is a very personal question and I will not allow you to speculate on such an uncouth manner

A good answer... or a good dodge

Tell me, what is your Calling? Which Devotary do you belong to?

I bet he's an ardent, and his wife is too. Theoretically, a female ardent shouldn't have to cover her safehand because ardents aren't supposed to be seen as male or female. Of course, that wouldn't account for how he's a Truthwatcher too -- only retired ardents can bond spren. @Winter, your story is getting fishier by the moment.

My calling is education though I will not say what subject as it is not particularly masculine. Hoid would approve, however.

Welcome to the Shard!

What is your favorite magic system and why?

Have you read any non-cosmere books (I guess that it is implied to be by Brandon, but any author works)

Not really a magic system so much as the implications of twinborn. I've been ruminating on how reverse compounding might work and would love it if someone could point me to relevant threads.

I've read reckoners, rithmatist, and skyward (not starsight yet). I also enjoyed lightbringer. I haven't had much time to read since the pandemic made my commute drop from 750 miles a week to about 50 feet a week

Not sure what you mean by reverse compounding, but here could be a place to post a theory at the very least (I linked it, but just for reference at the top bar, "forums" -> "Mistborn")

I also have a thread about regular (Feruchemical) Compounding which is in my signatures (below)

Basically the idea that an allomantic power could be treated as a storable attribute in a similar way to a feruchemical power being treated as an allomantic metal for normal compounding.

Also I'm not seeing the signatures. How do I do that on mobile?

Maybe at the top right click on your username -> "account settings"-> "signatures"->"View Signatures"? Idk beyond that

They apparently just don't work on mobile. I'll have to check the desktop version later

Hi and welcome! If you ever have any forum questions, I’m happy to answer. Who’s your favorite character?

Nicrosil Feruchemy could be interesting to look at. It sounds similar to what you're saying.

Thanks! Right now it's either the spren or Ham.

There was a discussion on shardcast a while back that got me thinking. As far as I understand nicrosil stores the ability to burn where as, what I propose, stores the actual effect of burning. Storing pushes vs ability to push. I'll post sometime this week once I get my thoughts organized
