Oh, don't worry, I'm well aware. (She only realized this after experiencing massive anxiety several times and...witholding information...and having it grow worse and worse until she talked to someone. As I said before, I've gotten...experience and gotten closer to some people as of late)

There are actually grammatical rules for this. Period inside parentheses if it only applies to the section within parentheses; outside the parentheses if it applies to the sentence at large.

As for quotes, it's generally accepted to put punctuation within them, but I don't believe it's necessarily incorrect to put it outside, and can serve a different purpose.

TL;DR: Before I started questioning, I chose a "girly" wallpaper, partially just because it was "girly," and I didn't consider what that might hint at.

 

uhhh guys...i just realized that i intentionally chose a wallpaper (which was a picture I took) of basically pink clouds. and im pretty my thought process was literally that part of the reason im choosing it is cuz its pink. and we all know what pink is associated with. and so did i at the time, at the forefront of my mind. and i didnt even stop to think abt that.
