I'm a native Spanish speaker. I can write in English just fine but my pronunciation is less than ideal. Now though, I have a job that requires me to speak it. Have to practice.

Too lazy to go to bed? I'd say it's contradictory, but I can relate.

I mean, I'm right here in front of the computer and some people are occasionally posting, plus I'm reading an online graphic novel, so I don't want to get up and walk up the stairs, go up the ladder, and do everything to get ready to go to sleep. It's easier to just stay here.

Can't argue with that. I'd offer some mature advice, but us Internet people are supposed to be bad influences, and I want to live up to that reputation.

He is supposed to be asleep, his bed time is 8:30 so he should be asleep. However, he is upstairs listening to an audiobook, and I can't fall asleep to audiobooks(he, Mist, and I share a room) and he won't turn it off because he says he needs it to go to sleep.

I would suggest earphones but I've heard it's somehow dangerous? And I suppose he is not one to fall asleep instantly?

Then I can only wish you good luck.

I have a similar thing with my dad and my sister. They apparently like to fall asleep to a movie, but I can't, if there's a movie on I will just, hang in there until it ends, so it happens that my dad puts a movie at midnight and I'm there, two hours later still watching.

I actually was scolded pretty often as a kid for not falling asleep when they put me a movie for that purpose. I guess he couldn't fathom the idea that it didn't work for everyone.

I don't know how people did that before TVs could be programed to turn themselves off. Like, falling asleep to a TV seems terrible for the electricity bill but a lot of people seem to do it.

Yes, I advocate for Internet privacy for my minor siblings.

*is even more still awake*

On the topic of adulting and becoming adults, my thoughts are basically just the song “Don’t throw out my LEGOS” by AJR.
