Late-knight randomness (or any time when other activity is low)

Ok I'm kinda weird but I really like IVs. They feeling of the cold liquid squirting up your veins feels so good.

I've... Never had an IV. But, eventually Ill probably be the one giving shots and stuff! Its my dream to be a nurse (for lots of reasons, not just because I think its interesting). I understand the fear of needles and hospitals and that stuff but I find that kind of stuff intriguing.

Same here. I've cost my family a great deal of shame growing up because my reactions were always less than mature. I still have no idea how I will react the next time, it's been years now.

Usually it's like that. As scary as the idea seems, deep down one knows there's nothing to be afraid of. Of course I know that does nothing to placate the fear but I think in a case like that it's good to keep in mind that big sigh of relief that will come when it's all over. Hopefully you won't need that though, I wish you good luck.

Personally, I don't have any sort of fear of needles, operations, etc. Based on this thread, I'm apparently in a minority, and it's interesting because I have more reason than most to have one of those fears. (My dad's twin had a very unpleasant experience with hospitals a while back)

I want to do medical field too! I'm going to take a phlebotomy course this year and learn how to draw blood. I've done it on practice arms once before and I enjoyed it.

That’s sweet!! I’m taking an “intro to physical therapy” this year cause it’s the most medical-like class I can get my hands on right now.
