Jared's vision went black as he tumbled through the Void. Desperately he reached out, trying to grab hold of something, anything- With a thunk, he manifested back into reality. He took a deep breath, thankful that this place- whatever it was- at least had oxygen. As he began to look around, however, it seemed like there wasn't much else. Withered plants and dusty soil seemed to indicate that this was a world in the aftermath of a withergeist attack. With that in mind, he looked around warily, keeping his guard up in case any were still in the area. It was then that he noticed the sword. The sword that had- somehow- resisted a direct attack from a Silent Blade. He picked it up to inspect it closer. Aside from the azure veins running through it - which, as far as he could tell, were for purely aesthetic effect - the blade seemed to be a perfectly ordinary steel blade. With curiosity - and, if he'd been honest with himself, a little bit of trepidation - he reached deeper inside to try and understand just what had made this blade so special.
