But I Chaosed it, and now it does the opposite of what it used to do.

Do you know what it used to do, mechanically speaking?

How powerful is Tvora's Chaos?

There are definitely some things it can't do. Other than that, um.

Nope! She just Chaosed it to be reversed.

Well, the orb is a nexus of the dyrling's power. I don't think Tvora would be strong enough to invert that part of its nature, so the only changes would be what it would do if added to a colored creature.

No, No.

Shattering the orb causes the power of the dyrling to be reduced in the immediate area (so you can use it to undo color draining, destroy colored creatures, etc.)

The monster roared, and color was drained.

Herate dashed down the stairs, debating between practicing with her new weapon and trying to learn more about Myrkaal - and maybe something about what was going on with Daolan. As she neared the end of the stairs, she slowed and ran into Psyder. Not literally, thankfully.

You know what it does, though not why it does it. Someone broke one earlier.

"Yes." Failing to come up with an elegant transition, Herate went blunt. "What's up with Xanthos's powers?"

Psyder raised an eyebrow. "He is a bit of a specialist. His powers were chosen to synergize."

"To synergize? What do you mean?"

"They work in tandem to create something better than the individual parts," replied Psyder. "That is the definition of synergy, yes?"

"Indeed. He designed it himself, I believe... a variation of shadow-acid particularly deadly to living creatures."
