I grimace as Ember pulls me to my feet. Everything spins just a little bit. A coat of soreness covers me completely. I just nod. My feet hit the ground and for moment I stagger.

A mental sigh rings out in my mind. Is it possible that her demons have returned? Nothing is ever simple. My mind turns to my love. You showed me that love is not enough. Persistence is needed. I will not fail her. In the way that I knew that I loved you...... I tear myself out of my thoughts.

Gently, almost reverently, he pulled the gemstone from the air.

I rise through the calm of my mind. My eyes flutter open. Every inch of my body aches as I breathe. It is not agony per say. However it is enough to remind me of all that has happened. Scenes flash before me. I cannot see anything except the sky moving above me.  I can hardly recognize my own voice as I speak weakly. "Where are we? Is Fox alright? Did she wake up." The winds carry my words through the ship.

Fox inhaled. This would not be fun. "Okay," she responded softly. Fox removed herself from embrace, and although she still wanted time to think, and things were still a bit blurry, it would seem that her conversation with Circe had brought her a bit more clarity and focus. Fox sighed quietly and looked over at the two figures. She somehow managed to push some words out of her mouth, "I-I'm sorry." Fox focused on the blood dribbling from one of the girl's neck. Storms. Fox had almost killed this girl. She gulped as the weight of the guilt slammed into her once more. Again, Fox had moved out of instinct and hatred instead of using her fricking brain. A tear popped out of her right eye and slowly made its way down Fox's cheek. These people had no reason to forgive her, they hardly knew her. "I accept whatever punishment you deem necessary," Fox spoke steadily in contrast to her earlier stammering. Punishment she could deal with, Fox wiped the tear off her face.

Herial saw a tear roll down Fox's cheek and smiled a bit sadly. "Really, there's no need for punishment. I know you didn't mean it. Can I... check your hand, for starters?"

The winds pick up ever so slightly as they lift us mere inches off of the ground. They carry us over to the stairs. It takes much of my strength to maneuver us carefully down the stairway. The aiding breath of nature dies behind us. I stumble as we touch down. The aching grows a bit worse and I cringe as my knees go weak.

I nod. My body pitches forward. It is Ember alone who keeps me from falling. Fog covers my mind I see Fox ahead and a beam of clarity cuts through my pain and distraction. Fox seemsto have injured herself again. Once again I sigh inwardly. A pang of pain not my own seems to flow through me. Ember and I slowly advance.
