Checkmate. Someone whispers in Cir's ear.

Then she's ripped into a mindscape, grey pebbles cover an expanse of grey hills.

Winter hovers in front of her, smiling, black liquid corrupting the right half of his face, his good eye glinting (as it likes to do).

You just could not resist.

Circestran stands unimpressed. "Do you think that I'm impressed? When Mindscapes were young I had mastered them." She dismisses her shield and blade. A blinding wall of scarlet energy surrounds her as she starts to chant. Armor of thick plates of demon carapace appear over her body. A helm that radiates an aura of death rests upon her head. Empty eyes stare vacantly from atop her brow. An intricate metal poled polearm with axes and a spike on either side appears in her hands. Spells are inscribed on every surface. The axes gleam like a predators eyes. With a though Circestran dismisses the light. "I am known as the huntress of the damned, the slayer of infernal deities, the sorceress queen, empress of mindscapes, and the conqueror of death's own realm." She bows slightly then straightens. Circestran raises the polearm "Today you die."

Winter laughs his favorite cold, emotionless laugh.

"You are nothing but dirt, and that is what you will become."

Sweet. Do you need the link? Pick a color and add him.

Will he be joining us on our adventures?

Great. He is a big talker. As though I have never slain one of those. "This mindscape is a rudimentary thing. Let me show you. Eshaor." The ground begins to burn. Thick billowing smoke fills the sky. The earth begins to come apart as molten fire erupts from the ground. Stone begins to melt. Circestran unfolds her wings and rises off of the ground.

"Your concept of mindscapes may be rudimentary." Winter replies, his wings reflecting the fire. "You may have mastered mindscapes, but I was created with the perfect knowledge of that concept's mother. R."

Everything becomes nothing.

So, witch, how do you like this? The greater concept behind it all, rediscovered by the queen of darkness over millennia of being encased in ice.

The nothingness turns into pitch-black darkness.

This is past your grasp. You have no power here.

A talker who is trying to goad me into making an error. They never learn. "Impressive, I'll admit. Knowing a secret such as this is no small feat. You are correct that my spells are useless in this place. However, to battle using such weak things as spells have always been beneath me. Let me tell you a secret, little metal angel. I call myself this day the name with which I was born. Then I was not Circestran, nor was I  the huntress of the damned, the slayer of infernal deities, the sorceress queen, empress of mindscapes, and the conqueror of death's own realm. No, then I was Kishuphra firstborn of sorcery and magics. The power which birthed the ancient gods and the cosmos are my younger siblings. My turn." The darkness fractures and with a heave explodes in a wave of scarlet light. The realm vanishes and the storm defended doorway appears. "You have nowhere to run this is the mindscape at the soul of mindscapes. It cannot be broken for the will of the ancient ones are it's fabric. You cannot escape, for only those who know it well can leave. Welcome to my former prison and your grave." Massive bolts of lightning strike the ground. Hurricane like winds gust and scream. Massive hailstones rain down.

I love your flashiness, witch, but let's get the fun going. You may go first.

Decrin slunk around the group at the foot of the airship, observing carefully.

"Profiles match the company of the targets," he murmured into his headset. "But no sign of the targets themselves."

"Could they be in the airship, perhaps?"

"Unlikely, although I suppose it's possible. I saw a couple go in, but none matched the targets' profiles." He paused. "Sir... there's something else. The company, they have a mime with them."

The voice over the air swore. "You don't suppose that...?"

"Hopefully not, sir. Why stay with them if he'd already secured the targets?"

"Pray he hasn't," muttered Decrin's commander. "If the Fallen King learned that we let the mimes carry off the targets..."

"Of course." Jhaug grabbed a large black blade a foot wide and six long. "air blades are technically just a feature added to another weapon." Jhaug threw the sword  in an underhand motion. The blade hung suspended in the air, Jhaug stepped on to it and adjusting his weight rode around the room. "It takes some practice, but it's far more fun. I have some bands that let you modify existing blades with it." Jhaug returned and stepped off, catching the blade as it fell. "Amulets of Wind, let you manipulate the wind, you'll need a glider to make it work right."

"I have more if these don't interest you."

"Amulets of Wind sound fun." Almost like those who have air. "May I try?" T asks.

"Of course," Jhaug said smiling "This way." Jhaug walked to the back a room seeming to make itself.

Jhaug grabbed a pendent and a glide from the wall, and handed them to the one who asked the question. "Put the glider on like this," Jhaug said demonstrating, "and push wind into the wings from below, that will get you in the air." Jhaug jumped off the side of the walkway into the large room below before lifting back up to be level with the customers.

"After that, adjust the wind to be slightly ahead of you, you'll go forward that way, don't go to fast at first."

Agh, I am really sorry but I won't be able to be on like at all in the next while. I'll try and read through this and chime in at least once a day, though. I won't be anywhere else on the Shard, though, except to post my last rap/roast. I'm super busy with school and homework and my parents don't really want me to be on the shard anymore, because it's been such a distraction.

Fadran, that's kind of the point of the "weeping bullets," the context would be someone who either doesn't want to shoot or...something like that. So, it might say, "Alex suppressed sobs as he fired the gun, weeping bullets upon the people before him."

"That might be nice. I feel like I was handed a super-machine that could do whatever I wanted it to, but the instructions are incredibly complicated and incomplete." Queen smiles. "It would definitely be a comfort to know that I have someone to help me figure it out."

Circestran's face blanches. She curses. My love he's coming! She reaches out to the poison which infects her victim and pulls on it. Reality twists around her and her bones burn as she latches onto him. She emerges in a wood beside Nathrangking.

I hear the message that my wife yells in my mind through the void. "Darkness crush his bones." I call the wind and toss aside the man who stands in my way as my wife appears beside me. Gusting winds lift me above the woods I fly low and see a figure stumbling through the woods. I drop down in front of her and dismiss my weapons. I drop to my knees. My head is bent and I don't look at her. "I don't know what lies he fed to you. You fear me and run into the prison you fought so hard to escape." I form a knife and toss it in front of her. "If you want to kill me you will need that. If I have wronged you let justice be done."

Dang. This is actually super hard for me. Nath, storm-it, don't you know it is my character's character to beat the living heck out of the people she doesn't like?

The Little Fox gasped as her brother's murderer ascended from the sky in front of her. She gasped again when he tossed a knife to her, making himself vulnerable. She... didn't think she remembered him doing that before. Surely it was just a tactic, some way he was trying to get her to let down her guard, and then, bam! He'd strike.

She eyed the knife suspiciously, wondering if it was a trap in itself, but the Little Fox ended up leaning down, and picking it up. She didn't care if this ended in a trap, it would be worth it to do one bit of damage to this demon. She walked up to Nathrangking, and grabbed him by the hair on his head, lifting his face to hers, meeting his eyes with hers, which were full of hatred, twinged with a bit of fear around the corners. She placed a knife to his neck. "Do you not remember killing my brother?" she seethed, "Do you not remember destroying my future? Do you not remember stabbing me with that knife?"

It cuts through the crystal and the monsters right leg, turning grey as the crystal falls in two pieces. The bear roars again and tries to swipe at Vapor.
