Abigail sighed, leaning back against one of the gray stone walls. "I feel fine," she said. "I'm not hurt or anything. But..." she shivered. "Something happened. I don't - exactly recall what."

My eyes fly open. My web of magic senses a surge of power threatening my new allies.I reach through the magic that I had placed on Fadran's channelblade and in an instant I'm standing beside Fadran. I call my light blades to my hands. "Who is this?" I gesture at the man standing before us.

"I've killed a lot of people," he says abruptly, turning away. "Most of them deserved it."
