|TJ| he/him Posted June 5, 2020 Posted June 5, 2020 TJ noticed the rather odd looking fellow heading to the table he was observing after spattering him with cookie crumbs. He glared at his back a second more than required and noticed the young boy's attention on him. Well, what do you know? The introverted boy might not be introverted after all. He stopped and chided himself. He was not supposed to be noticed. As he was watching, the lord standing nearby announced himself to the group. And what's the first thing he does? Propose an alliance of course! Rusting lords and their games. Even now they're thinking of earning favors and political gains. He meant it in an angry way but he couldn't help but feel impressed by the lord's actions. He couldn't possibly think of anything politically beneficial as far as the lord was concerned and yet he was genuinely making an effort to get through to them. TJ had known quite a few decent nobles and he did not exactly hate them. He had just known a lot of rotten ones and he'd learned to be wary of them. Hmm, he seems like a good chap after all. He couldn't help but smile inwardly looking at the odd bunch of people. Some alliance this is going to be, heh.
Experience he/him Posted June 5, 2020 Posted June 5, 2020 (edited) @Matrim's_Dice @Lahilt @Shard of Reading Someone please post so I can post this. ~~ Shard was pleasantly surprised when the noble didn't become outright hostile toward him because of his ignorance. Cauthon kept glancing at the hazekiller, and Shard still wasn't sure if they were doing something for them or making sure they didn't become included in this something. As he started to talk, Shard realized that his tone was slightly hushed, and decided that he wasn't working with the hazekiller. For this, Shard was relieved. "My name is Shard." Pointing at Reading, he said, "That right there is Reading". I'm not sure who the others are. He's been quite, and the foreigner hasn't been very responsive. Also, you were correct to assume that at least some of us have allomantic or feruchemic powers. I myself am a bloodmaker, and have a good amount of health stored up. What about you? Do you have any powers to bring to the table?" Shard smiled inwardly at his play on words, but wasn't at all surprised when there wasn't any reaction to his joke. Shard lowered his voice, and added, "Also, sir. You may want to lower your voice a bit more. It seems that the hazekiller is able to hear our conversation and seems to be taking notice." ~~ EDIT: I'll add @TJ Shade EDIT#2: Yay! I now have more posts then Pyro!(Don't tell them) Edited June 5, 2020 by Experience
Mat he/him Posted June 5, 2020 Posted June 5, 2020 This is not an RP post but I'd like to point out we're about halfway through the cycle and we have 15 pages.

A bit more than halfway, but yes. I'm pretty sure that the turn ends in just under 9 1/2 hours. I think. EDIT: And yes, it's crazy that there's so many posts! I believe this is my 71st. Mat he/him Posted June 5, 2020 Posted June 5, 2020 Cauthon smiled warily at Shard's worry, surely the hazekiller could not hear from over there less he was a Tineye. He lowered his voice anyway, if just to please the boy. Reading spoke up, explaining his strange choice of a name, and Cauthon couldn't help but wince that he hadn't thought of giving a fake name. Oh well, at least his first name had been preserved. ~~ 1 minute ago, Experience said: I wonder who this makes you think of. Hmm... that couldn't be a Hoid reference, could it?

|TJ| he/him Posted June 5, 2020 Posted June 5, 2020 Well let's assume I'm all cleaned up now ___________ Well, Ruin it. He noticed the group's obvious attempts to speak in hushed tones and ignore him, and that meant they had all noticed him in the first place to ignore. He pried his gaze away from them, but tried to listen anyway. It's not like they were talking anything important. He really hoped they weren't hatching an escape plan. He'd have to kill them to keep his cover as a hazekiller. He wouldn't like it, but he'd do it without a second thought if that kept his cover intact. Please don't do anything stupid.

Shard noticed the hazekiller look away, and it seemed obvious that he had indeed been listening to the conversation. It seemed like the man was still trying to listen, and it looked like they were really trying to not be noticed. Shard was satisfied that their conversation was protected, and turned his attention to the person talking. ~~ Does anyone have a vote count?
Lahilt he/him Posted June 5, 2020 Posted June 5, 2020 (edited) People started converging on the table where Lahilt sat. was this a trap? Were there people just waiting until I approach on of them. Lahilt thought about slipping away when a man grabbed his hand and shook it the man introduced himself as Lord Cauthion. He had no choice I am Lahilt, Lahilt offered, I am from...Uh I mean I am an Esploristo... that is a researcher or to you it would be a researcher. Edited June 5, 2020 by Lahilt

Ookla-son-son-Ventyl Posted June 5, 2020 Posted June 5, 2020 (edited) Lord Etteax of Elendel, Harmonies chosen, and Knights Radiant of the Willshapers, looked at the table of mismatched people. I wonder, he thought, how in Odium’s cursed name did that group got together? More importantly, do they have whiskey? “You and your whiskey!” His spren, Ola, shouted into his ear, “Maybe you should try something new this time? Or better yet, swear your fourth Ideal?” As he continued walking towards the table, Ola zipped from his right shoulder to his nose. When she wasn’t a ball of light, she formed a small copper like woman wearing a long havah, oddly enough it had many buttons with pockets. As he got closer, it seemed the group was trying to hide their conversation from a nearby Hazekiller. They were speaking so softly not even he, Harmonies chosen, could hear them. “Ola, make yourself useful and go listen to that table,” He interrupted. She had a habit of complaining about how he only ever drank whiskey now a days, and would say stuff like, ‘When you were on Roshar you tried so many different wines. you studied the other Radiant spren so intently, and you were actually interested in expanding your powers!’ She didn’t understand how badly the events on Roshar effected him, he never wanted to get caught up in their war. What hurt him more than those memories though, was how he lost someone. The old joyful Lafay, who was just happy to be a Cognitive Shadow, died on Roshar. The only reason he was here now was because his old allies had betrayed him, and Lafay didn’t take too kindly to that. ”All I heard was them giving each others names,” Ola said to him, interrupting his thoughts of the past. “The foreigner is Lahilt, the noble is Lord Cauthon, the uncomfortable one is Reading, and the last on is Shard.” ”Thanks, Ola,” He whispered as he neared the table. When he arrived he slapped Lord Cauthon on the back, “Ho ho, it’s been awhile Cauthon! Don’t think I’ve seen you since the ball at the Ironspine! And to the rest of you, Lord Lafay Etteax, Harmonies Chosen, at your service.” Edited June 5, 2020 by Ventyl

I'm pretty sure that spren can't leave Roshar, but that doesn't actually matter. ~~ Shard wasn't quite suprised when another person came up to the table. Something set Shard's alarm's off though, and he couldn't shake it off. When he claimed that he was harmonies chosen, Shard almost fell over in surprise. It had been years since he had met any of the chosen, and he didn't look forward to meeting this one. Edited June 5, 2020 by Elbereth double post
