Ouchie Alphy. Ouchie.

Utah’s a very interesting place, and far from perfect, but y’know what everywhere’s like that a bit too. (me, who’s never lived outside of Utah)

Uhh

no, Utah’s pretty unique. Very different from where I live.

Spoiler

“Ouchie”, you say??? With your dozens of temples??? Let’s not forget the subject of the argument, Eddie. My state currently has one temple. Forgive my excitement.

I wish your state had more, and I think someday it will!!

I’m saying ouchie because you’re happy at Utah’s not getting more.

Guys, I'm so tired of the hate that Utah members get. Like actual hate. From church members. My brother was excluded from mission activities in Texas because he's from Utah. I've had friends investigating the church decide they're not interested because being a member in Utah supposedly "doesn't even count as being a member" according to some people. I hear whispers from people from out of state, about how none of the members here are really converted. And believe me, that sense of superiority that "Utah members have" is echoed just as strongly by members visiting from other states, who assume they are the only ones converted. As if anyone can judge the conversion of anyone else. I can't be the only one who's tired of this. Don't we get enough hate from outside the church, to not have to face disgust from other members, just because of our state of origin?

Note: This isn't a rant about you @Labyrinth I know you're not intending any harm, but I just really hope you won't do anything to add to the division that already exists around us and within our church, even if it's not intended poorly.

Haha… uh, all I said was in jest

I actually think it’s really cool we have almost like a capital, or home base, for our church. I honestly just like to poke in fun. Y’all are far enough away that I’m not going to be chased by a procession of villagers with pitchforks and torches. I hadn’t realized that was a real issue, and thanks is truly unfortunate.

The world is so full of hate, and it makes me a little bit sad. I think it’s funny, in a bitter ironic way, that even the people who worship a God of love are so quick to turn and tear down another. But there’s nothing we can do about their hate except to counter it with our love, and that’s what I’ll keep doing, because that’s why we’re on this earth, y’know? We’re here to love, and I’ll do that wherever the Lord puts me, because there’s so much anger already. In President Nelson’s talk he mentioned getting rid of anything that takes away our agency, and he talked specifically about addictions, but anger is that way too. When we get angry we lose the ability to do anything else, and that’s something that happens to everyone, y’know?

…hehe I don’t even know why I’m talking, I’m in a weird mood. Love ya Alphy <3

I actually agree! Yes, I do know. There’s so many problems in the world we should try not to add more by adding contention and anger to the mix.

HEH!

Remind me to track down Brandon Sanderson and open the door wearing white and holding a prop of Jezrien's Honorblade and scream, "I WORE WHITE THE DAY I WAS TO KILL THE KING OF WRITING!"

Yeah, yeah, that'd be safest. I'll dye my hair white and wear a white bandana across my face.
