“Hey!” he cried out, finally managing to get his mouth to form words. “Look out! I-”

Luther herd the yells and understood what they meant.  He drew in Stormlight and tried to access the cognitive realm the way that it sometimes happened when he practiced with the lashings.

Aren’t they in a dream?

Jamie emptied the clip into the Koloss's head. It stumbled, bright red blood pouring out of its head. It fell into the sand with a thump.

Wait. Why sand? I fight in the mountains, usually.

That's when she noticed the young man running towards her. He was yelling, but her ears still rang from the gunfire, so she couldn't understand him. She was about to ask him what his problem was when a wave hit her. She spluttered, trying to get above water, but horrible whispers surrounded her, sapping her will.

No! This is not how I'm gonna die!

She screamed, bubbles forming a maelstrom around her, and burned pewter. Strengh surged through her body. It's not enough, she though, feeling defeated. No, it can't end like this! IT WON'T END LIKE THIS!

Jamie reached deep inside herself, reaching for some extra reserve of power. She strained, whispers still filling her ears. The pewter was helping her hold her breath, but she would suffocate soon anyway.

She kicked upwards, once, twice, and burst out of the water, gasping.

There's a noticeable difference when you transition from a normal dream into a fully developed dream-battle. It feels like waking up from a dream- which it sort of is.

Draug's vision swam with the effort of holding the wave back, but even so he could still see that he was doing some good. The worst of the wave was going to the sides, leaving the girl in a much shallower area.

But he couldn't hold the wave back for much longer. Already it was beginning to slip.
"Attack it!" he cried out between gritted teeth. "Push it back! Otherwise-"
He broke off in a groan, the wave slipping another inch.

"Push?" Jamie shouted, how do I... she trailed off, the whispers crawling into her ears again. She screamed, eyes closed tightly, trying to ppush back. It was as if she was shoving against a smoth wall. Everything she tried would simply slide away.

Rusts. My head...

Something caught against the wall. Jamie shoved on whatever it was with all she was worth. A wall of water exploded outward, somehow flattening the other waves. Jamie stood in the center of it, water up to her knees, soaking wet and panting heavily.

 Draug groaned with relief as the waters receded. He slumped to his knees in the now inch-high water and took a deep breath of Stormlight. Instantly, he could feel its power washing away his exhaustion. It might not be real, he thought as he stood up, but it sure feels real

He started making his way over to where the girl was kneeling in the water. He waved at her as he approached. "Hello!" he called out. "Are you alright?"

So how does Luther hear the cognitive realm?

Dalinar yells when he is in a vision.  I assume the same might appear here.

Most people don't yell in a dream. The visions are a diffrent thing altogether.

How exactly are these different from Dalinar's visions?  In general this unmade acts completely differently then the others we have seen I am simply going with the closest in book phenomena.

Well, it's a dream. Even if the phenomenon is different than any Unmade we've seen, it's also totally different from the visions. The closest phenomenon is an actual dream, in which people don't yell.

Most of the time.

They still do sometimes.  Would you prefer Niscroc to feel the Void investiture present like Syl does in WoR?

Luther's meditation brought him somewhere he could almost feel.  Something.

Yeah, Ark should be good, why?

Also, is there a way for me to get in on this? Cassie wouldn't know how to get into a dream, or much about the Unmade at all.

Wouldn't everyone enter at some point? Half the people in the house is already asleep and the other half is watching a marathon where they'll surely fall asleep, there's a lot of potential there

Actually I feel like it might be hard anyone else to join. So maybe just let them finish it, and then the timeskip to the prom. There will be some plot for everybody there.

Dapper have Doc reply to Shana please?

"Totally... fine." Jamie panted, "What was that?"

@AonEne @Ark1002

Draug came to a stop in the black water. "You were attacked," he said. "By Sha-thoexis- have you heard of her?"

"Nope." Jamie shook her head.

~~~
Doc shook his head. "I don't see it as a big problem right now. Ok, it's a big problem, but I, and perhaps we, have bigger things to worry about."
Draug exhaled. "She's an Unmade. A kind of spren- but you don't know what that is, do you? I guess you'd probably call them 'spirits'. Anyway, this one makes people not notice or forget about magic. Are you sure you're okay? I held her back as best I could, but..." He shook his head. "Even when you don't fall, it can be... disconcerting."
"I see."
Shana replied without looking into his eyes.
Bigger things he'd shared with Cassie. That were unimportant enough that he had the time to watch a movie, but so important that he had no time to spend five minutes talking to her. He could have told her, that he wasn't interested. That Jamie - maybe it was about her, or that unmade. But then if there really was a problem, Doc would have told them about it. Or maybe not. She was a Dustbringer, if there was a fight, she was supposed to be first row, it was why she was here, to fight for them. Hugging herself, because now she understood what was going on, what had happened. He knew of course Doc knew. He always knew. If he kept her back, if he took away her place it meant she'd failed him. For a moment she stared at him with wide eyes, then stared at the floor, unable to be here anymore she repeated,
"I see."
And almost fled the kitchen.
@Dr. Dapper
Stumbling up the stairs, they left her panting, shaking again, she paused, caught her breath and forced herself to her room and wrote a notice. Then she pushed it through the gap beneath his door into Rob's room.
Spoiler
I'm sorry. Rob I know you said it's alright, but I'm sorry. You're one of the few I trust enough to have my back and I feel like I've destroyed it all. You only wanted to help me, and I, I'm sorry!
@I think I am here.
Back in her own room she changed into a shirt and short pants to wear at night and out of habit even went so far as to brush her teeth. Her thoughts whirled around and around, nine words, it should have been so easy.
"Mahad."
She whispered.
"I should have declined, but it was so much fun, I like to spar with Rob, he's one of the few willing to break my nose. But I should have declined. I almost killed him, because it was fun."
Disgust coloured her voice black and she sat down in a corner, rested her head on her knees, her arms pulled them close to her chest. Tears ran down her face, when her thoughts again and again touched one point.
"What about us? What does it mean for us?"
Her spren only whirled around, slowly, uneasily.
"I don't know."
He whispered and came close and she hugged him tightly.
"Apologizing was good. You can learn from your mistakes, that's good, but..."
Mahad fell silent and she didn't add anything, but stayed where she was. Doc would throw her out, he had to. In his head she already was gone. The moment he had stopped trusting her, she was gone. Maybe her uncle would take her back, he had to. Because if he didn't, she would end up homeless. Life before Death. When had she chosen Death and destruction instead of Life and protection? Unconciously, but did it change anything? Maybe. Shana stared at the path she'd taken the first few steps on, stared at its black turns, stared and stared and stared. Fight for them, not kill her friends.
"It's human to make a mistake."
Mahad whispered.
"I'm still here."
Luther felt furious with himself.  Discipline had saved him had made him Radiant had given him a companion and had allowed him powers beyond anything he had previously imagined and yet he still could do nothing.
"What is the point of being Radiant if it does not allow me to find harmony! To foster peace! To protect others!"  He shouted.  "I swore the oaths because order allows me to guard growth and ease pain but now I cannot stop a companion from hurting?  Justice will not allow me to aid another!"  Niscroc looked at him and Luther sighed.  You are not wrong to be wary of human emotion but I fear for myself.  "Order allows us to live and work together but it does not always aid those that who need it.  Never in human history has any society perfectly served its members.  I have only been part of this society for a single day and already I failed them by not bringing the one who threatened it to justice.  What am I to do?"
