Boredom. I fake-sighed and got up from my bed, where I'd been lounging as I read. "Fine, I'll go see if anyone's downstairs." People should be back from school by now, right? My eyes found the alarm clock on my bookshelf. Okay, definitely back from school. Back from after-school activities, even. Dodging my spren as I made my way out the door, I trotted down the hall, skipped several steps on my way down the stairs, and walked into the kitchen.
