are there any other RPs that may have an ambassador to the allyverse?

Newcago is the only one. There are other Guild cities, but they’re part of the RP and not separate (sort of - I believe there has been crossover, just not recently) like the Court.

Hey, idea. We could get a non-Alleyverse member special seats from other RPs, just to have a cool mechanic. One who is only Reckoners, one from SE, etc. I really like the idea now...

I think that other RPs are too different. Also why would they get a say in our government?

Also, @Furamirionind, I was thinking that the newcago court wouldn’t get a seat because it wouldn’t be under the control of the congress. The public seat should still exists, but similarly to how other countries have embassies and ambassadors in the US, the court would have an embassy and ambassador in this republic.

I just think it would be fun. Maybe ambassadors instead, but either way, non Alleyverse sounds cool to add, very much like foreign representatives. Maybe Potency for all PM rps, as she is in most and not an Alleyverse members.

I was thinking that originally, but I wasn't sure how we could make something like that official... So I just took the quick and dirty path. You have an idea on how this should be done?

I believe it should be that they get a say if they wish before the vote, then the people can vote.

Basically this, but also they should be allowed to petition the government for issues/Tresspasses that concern them.

They shouldn’t ever get a say in how the government runs, but if the court ever has an issue that it needs to bring up, then it will, and can address the government if the need arises.

They can negotiate treaties and various other things with the government as well.

Do you mean... like... They get to argue for or against a law directly in court, but can't actually vote?

I am not sure exactly how this would work in practice, but to me, this sounds good to try at the very least.

I think that will largely come into play when we determine the land that each place controls. For both each individual guild and for the republic vs the DA vs the Newcago court. For negotiating prices that need to be  paid for damages and the such.

The Newcago court should get the city, plain and simple.

But you see, there is no one else on that southern area of the map. But I do think that we need to rework that map. Theres a whole lot of blank space, and cities that were never used,

So obviously with all the talk of people needing to decide what guild they are going to count towards, is anyone concerned about multi-guild members? For example, person A is a member of GB and TUBA, but they choose to count toward TUBA membership. They become TUBA's rep. They then use their power as rep to further the goals of GB instead of TUBA. Is that something we're concerned about? Or is that part of the risk of picking your guild rep? I know we were discussing terms and things of that nature, but should a guild be able to change their rep whenever they want to? Or was a minimum amount of time decided upon?

As far as how often people should be able to change which guild they count for, I think it will probably be easiest to have people able to change it whenever they want, however the affects of the change only happen every so often. Which would discourage people from changing purely because they can.

That is an interesting concern about the rep not looking out for their guilds intrests...  however, I would say that is 2 things:

1. That's the risk of picking that rep. The guild should pick someone they trust to be loyal.

2. That just happens sometimes. It is politics.  Maybe the TUBA rep made a deal with the GB rep that if the TUBA one voted this law a certain way, then the GB rep would vote how TUBA wanted in a differant law.  Lots of give and take.

That depends on whether we decide to continue spying. Because if we do continue with it, what you describe is the goal of every spy.

I guess I wasn't thinking about that. I just mean, we have a lot of people who are publicly part of multiple guilds I think. Ark for example. At that point just make sure you pick someone who is only on your guild then? To ensure they have only one goal to work towards. Maybe it isn't as big of an issue as I thought. People just need to be aware when choosing reps.
