It is NOT a normal forest, it doesn't have trees!! Normal forests have TREES!!!

Were the trees cut down? The victim is human, right? You said he'd be recognizable as human, but that doesn't mean he's human. (unrelated question: would a dead kandra have the translucent skin that they can show?)

Yes, and I'm going to shut down any cosmere thinking about this.

This is earth, normal earth. Nothing from any fictional books in here.

If a kandra is dead, their mass is completely obliterated or their spikes have been removed. Since that would be a kind of death to them.

THERE'S NO TREES IT LITERALLY CANNOT BE A NORMAL FOREST. Ahem.

Clothes...Are the clothes of the corpse relevant?

Was he wearing fancy clothes?

Were they normal clothes for a modern human?

Were they normal clothes for a medieval human?

If they weren't normal for anyone, were they specialized for something? (Like hunting, biking, running, etc. Just something.)

Wait wait wait...so there's a dead guy. In a swimsuit. In a forest.

Is there a lake/ocean/river nearby?

Posted (edited)

Can you define nearby?

Like, within walking distance?

You can give up, but the riddle never will. It's tendrils have reached inside of you and you will always wonder the answer. You are on the right path and getting closer to figuring it out.

Wait really? And if the murderer can fly, does that mean it was a flying vehicle?

DID HE FALL OFF AN AIRPLANE?
