"Why are you willing to leave your closest relative to die?"

CLICK THE BUTTON! IT WOULD BE SO EASY!

"No, I didn't. I assumed so. You are at least close to him, correct?"

KILL HIM! DOCTORS SAY MURDER IS GOOD FOR YOUR HEALTH!

Hellbent had stopped listening. He stood there, his own body fighting against him. He was holding the button.

YOU NEED TO KILL HIM!

"NO! I CAN'T! MY DAUGHTER IS HERE!"

SCREW YOUR DAUGHTER!

"I CAN'T KILL HER! I CAN'T!"

SLAUGHTER HER!

"NO! NO! NO!"

KILL DUSK!

"I CAN'T!"

Rick grew out of the ground next to Hellbent, and plucked the remote out of his pocket. "Boss, I hope you realize that killing him would violate the peace."  'Good job' the voice said ' You may have just saved everyone here'

"Are you having an intense personal battle, with a voice in your head that wants you to nuke me, but the only reason you aren't is because your daughter is here, and you don't want your bloodline destroyed?" Dusk said.

"I CAN'T KILL HER!"

DUSK NEEDS TO DIE.

"NO! I WILL KILL HIM ANOTHER WAY!"

DUSK WILL DIE!

"Yes, but not at this party."

WHY NOT?

"Because I can't kill off my daughter."

ARE YOU SURE?

"Yes."

FINE.

"So, why are you willing to agree to this?"

Posted

"Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm........... Okaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyy......... Anyways, I'm willing to agree because he's going to do it either way. I might as well get a treatu out of it. Would you like to discuss that now?" Dusk said. The sentinels were all looking at Hellbent like he was crazy and had their hands on their guns.

I get the dramatic need for emphasizing but can we please stick to all-caps / bold instead of increasing font size.

Just wondering. Why is there an option to change to font size if I can't use it?

"So, Ambrosia," Silas said as he held out his arm for Ambrosia, a slow waltz playing in the background, "May I have this dance?" Silas nodded at Walker. "Thank's for the shock. I probably wouldn't be doing so well if it weren't for you."

This isn't a hard rule as much as some ad-hoc moderation stuff. There's no official site rule against using it. It's like using quote boxes or different colours to differentiate in character vs. out of character speech, not a firm rule but just a preference that makes everyones lives easier.
The usage of font sizes should be for things like titles and subtitles in particularly large posts. Things like the guides, particularly long/ complex theories, etc.
Novels tend not to use different sizes of text for emphasis and so best practice would be not to use them in RP posts either.

That being said, if a majority of players in the Alleyverse disagree or our other mods don't see any harm then this may be perfectly permissible. So if you feel this is unreasonable, feel free to check with other members of the community, but as an initial ruling I'd ask people to avoid it as it disrupts page flow a bit.

"You may."

She accepted his arm, then she started to dance, smiling.

"I apologize for my lack of skills, my parents never exactly taught me to dance."

Hellbent looked at Dusk.

"I will discuss it."

As he spoke, he soulcast the Sentinel's weapons to smoke, and their jackets, leaving them in their undergarments.

Rick grinned like crazy, then walked away, tossing the remote from hand to hand. He looked at one of the band islands and shouted, "Play that epic tracks playlist I sent to you." "Alright," said the band leader. "Rick laughed as "He's a Pirate" began to play.

Dwig cracked a grin as the band segued into the Pirates of The Caribbean theme. Seems like an apt time for something epic, wouldn't you say" he said to Ciera than,  jumped off the edge of the island.

"Well, I understand. I have only recently learned how to dance," Silas consoled.

Ambrosia smiled at him.

"Well, for someone who is new to it, you seem to know what you are doing."

She kept careful attention on her steps, making sure not to trip, as she was wearing a dress, the first time in a year she had worn something other then a Sentinel coat.

"What is your favorite food?"

For titles etc.

My view is that the main thing you've got to consider is that popular threads like this are read by a lot of people. It can be needlessly inconvenient for all those members, especially for mobile users. Increasing the font size can often be humorous, but it should be done sparingly to, as Voidus said, avoid disrupting the page flow.

The Alleyverse RP tends to have a looser style guide than other RPs (due to the age and experience level of our participants), but writing with good form is always a good idea. To me, policing this kind of thing isn't a very high priority, but I take any advice from seasoned RPers like Voidus to heart. Worst case scenario if you take his advice is you become a better forumer (Yes, I know that's a made-up word). Best case, you become a better forumer and writer.

That said, I don't like spamming. Posting multiple needlessly massive/plentiful posts in an RP thread is poor form, so don't do that. Just think before you post. Around here, if you make the wrong call your post might get edited, but if it was an honest error in judgement I won't hold it against you.

TL;DR Something can be funny the first time, then inconvenient if you do it again shortly afterwards.
