There were some issues with the release due to the ground team getting swamped, but they blew over. Less controversial than their tectonics program, which had a rocky development period.

You guys think we could bend canon, have the people who used to be in the first guild (or who posted there but weren't really Homeless) not exist? Or even bend canon to say a different one was first - maybe something that failed and was then squashed by the DA? It'd be interesting to RP a guild that we knew was doomed later on. To clarify, this would be one that doesn't exist currently OOC, canonically or even not.

And this is that experiment, and so it gets erased at the end? What do you mean by 'failed'?

Yes, I meant that this is that experiment. Like you said, it would be interesting if it was a world we knew was doomed later on.

And failed means that we rose up against the DA right away or something? If that's what you're going for then I suggest it be a situation where Voidus and the Stranger left quickly after spiking the universe (not sure if that's realistic or not, and of course we'd have to ask Voidus and Fatebreaker). The DA only rose up in the AV because of Voidus iirc, and didn't exist before that, so I guess I just answered my own question. What would 'fail' mean?

If we do decide for it to be in this timeline and in the history of this Alleyplanet, they might have an impact on history - or I suppose they also might not, if the DA exterminated them so completely.

This wouldn’t be Era 0, that’s more of an OOC thing  though it might not be Era 4 either, as it might go past when E4 ends. A bit like the fantasy/horror/Scadrial threads, outside of the timeline.

It would be more... Era -1? Maybe?

As for outside the timeline, I would like for it to be canonical. I suppose if we set it far enough in the past then any changes won’t be too significant. History tends to have a sort of inertia.

A poll has gone up in the Calendar thread about whether it should be adopted and what form it should take - be sure to vote on that.

Well, iirc, E0 encompasses everything before E1. There are no negative eras because all of that time was in Era Zero. 

I agree that this should be canonical. There wouldn’t really be a point to it otherwise.
